The gunman armed with a rifle opened fire during morning mass at a Catholic elementary school in Minneapolis, killing 2 children and injuring at least 15 others, according to local officials. The suspect is dead. Children were seen leaving school hand-in-hand with their parents and guardians.
Police are expected to hold a press conference soon to provide more information.
The shooting comes less than a day after an unidentified gunman opened fire near Cristo Rey High School in Minneapolis, killing 1 person and injuring 6 others. This was followed by 2 other shootings at night, killing 2 people and injuring 2 others. Police said itβs unclear whether the shootings are linked.
