In two posts, President Donald J. Trump calls out the European Union for hitting American tech companies with big fines, focusing on Google and Apple. In the first, he slammed a $3.5 billion fine on Google, saying it and other taxes on U.S. tech firms take money away from American jobs and investments. He called it unfair and said his administration wonβt stand for it.
He also mentioned a $17 billion fine on Apple, saying it shouldnβt have happened and the money should be returned. Trump warned that if these penalties keep coming, he might launch a Section 301 proceeding to block them and protect American innovation.
In the second post, he added that Googleβs faced $16.5 billion in EU fines total, including $13 billion for what he called βfalse claims and charges.β He demanded the EU stop targeting American companies immediately.

BREAKING: Authorities have apprehended two 17-year-olds in connection with the killing of Eric Tarpinian-Jachym, a 21-year-old congressional intern, according to U.S. Attorney for the District of Columbia Jeanine Pirro, who made the announcement on Friday.
A third suspect remains at large, with law enforcement continuing their search.
Tarpinian-Jachym was fatally struck by a stray bullet in Washington, D.C., on June 30.
"He was an innocent bystander who was caught in a violent act that was not meant for him," Pirro said. "His death is a stark reminder of how fragile life is and how violence too often visits us in the nation's capital."

BREAKING: Kenvue Inc.βs shares fell after the Wall Street Journal reported that Health Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. is likely to link the companyβs Tylenol painkiller to autism.
The report from Kennedy is expected this month, said the paper, citing people familiar with the matter.
Kenvueβs stock declined about 10% at 1:53 p.m. in New York.
