FAFOπ₯: High-ranking Internal Revenue Service (IRS) officer Niki Wilkinson was terminated after the Daily Caller reported on her public LinkedIn posts bashing the Trump administration and Republicans, sources close to the White House told the Caller.
Wilkinson accused President Donald Trump and GOP lawmakers of βfear mongeringβ and βfalsely describingβ the work of former IRS official Holly Paz, who was accused of going after conservative groups with targeted audits.
Paz, who served as deputy to Lois Lerner during the Obama-era Tea Party targeting scandal, was placed on leave by the Trump administration after Republican members of Congress alleged she was using audits of pass-through businesses to go after conservative business owners.
Wilkinson has also repeatedly used LinkedIn to criticize Trump and his administration, including two posts this week accusing the president of corruption and several others amplifying Democratsβ attacks on the president.

4/10 She stated her teamβs report concluded Trump was the βrightful presidentβ and found no collusion with Russia. However, she never provided evidence of the alleged criminal complaint or trial, despite repeated claims.

A disgraced former FBI official tipped off an employee of a Chinese group that did business with the Biden family about planned arrests related to a criminal investigation, compromising the integrity of the probe, according to a Justice Department watchdog.Β
Charles McGonigal, who helmed the FBIβs counterintelligence division in New York from 2016 to 2018, was sentenced to 50 months in federal prison in 2023 for colluding with a Russian oligarch to evade US sanctions β but his leaks about the bureauβs investigation into China Energy Fund Committee (CEFC), its top executive Patrick Ho and affiliated companies, were only made public Thursday by the DOJβs Office of the Inspector General.
While overseeing the FBI probe into CEFC, McGonigal met with an Albanian official working for CEFC in June 2017 and told them βsomething to the effect of βwe are looking into themβ or βwe are going after them,ββ the Albanian official, only identified as βPerson B,β told the FBI in a 2022 proffer interview.
βPerson B said that he understood βweβ to be the FBI and βthemβ to be CEFC China or CEFC NGO,β the inspector general report noted.Β
At the time, knowledge of the probe was βlimited to a small number of government personnel.β
Person B traveled to Washington, DC, the day after his meeting with McGonigal and notified Ho about what he had gleaned from the FBI mole.Β
