TONIGHT: Power has been fully restored at Grand Central Terminal in New York City after an outage left commuters in the dark Thursday night.
The MTA said just before 8:30 p.m., the terminal "experienced a drop in voltage to the feeder network that resulted in lights going out in portions of the facility."
Videos show the station plunged in darkness with people using flashlights and cellphone lights to navigate.
Power was restored to the upper level of the terminal at 8:53 p.m. and the lower level at 9:17 p.m., the MTA said.
Con Edison is working with the MTA to investigate the cause of the outage.

The outages are impacting multiple parishes in Louisiana and include the stateβs three largest cities, as well as several Mississippi counties and the capital city of Jackson, according to officials.
A severed 911 fiber cable caused outages to have a βregional impact,β according to New Orleans emergency communications officials. Mississippi officials are working with AT&T to determine the scope of the outages after fiber optic lines were damaged, said Scott Simmons, director of external affairs at the stateβs department of emergency management.
Outages were also reported in Fulton County, Illinois, where officials are advising residents to call a non-emergency number, the Canton Police Department said. City officials in Canton said the outage has lasted at least an hour, as they caution residents βthere may be some waitingβ as itβs still unclear when the service will be back up, a spokesperson said.

Last week we saw a social media dust up between Pam Bondi and President Trump over Trump's preference for Lindsey Halligan as US Attorney for Eastern District of Virginia after Pam Bondi appointed Mary Cleary to that position.
Trump also expressed frustration that no one involved in Spygate had been arrested.
Now we know the rest of the story.
