The documents, which were delivered to the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee and published Friday by the panelβs Democrats, come in response to the committee probe into the Epstein case. In what appears to be a copy of Epsteinβs itinerary, Musk had a tentative trip to Epsteinβs island on Dec. 6, 2014. A note appended to that plan reads, βis this still happening?β At the time, Epstein owned a private island in the U.S. Virgin Islands.
Another schedule notes a planned lunch with tech billionaire Peter Thiel on Nov. 27, 2017, and a breakfast with conservative political strategist Steve Bannon on Feb. 16, 2019 β just months before Epstein was charged with sex trafficking of minors. Bannon was Trumpβs chief strategist, and Thiel is a prominent Republican megadonor.
These new files are notable in that they suggest all three powerful men had a relationship with Epstein after his controversial plea deal that forced him to register as a sex offender. Many people have argued that the non-prosecution agreement, which was signed in 2007, allowed Epstein to continue to prey on young women and girls for years before his subsequent 2019 arrest.
Muskβs mention is also significant because he had previously broken with President Donald Trump in pushing for the release of further information in the Epstein case.

TONIGHT: Power has been fully restored at Grand Central Terminal in New York City after an outage left commuters in the dark Thursday night.
The MTA said just before 8:30 p.m., the terminal "experienced a drop in voltage to the feeder network that resulted in lights going out in portions of the facility."
Videos show the station plunged in darkness with people using flashlights and cellphone lights to navigate.
Power was restored to the upper level of the terminal at 8:53 p.m. and the lower level at 9:17 p.m., the MTA said.
Con Edison is working with the MTA to investigate the cause of the outage.

The outages are impacting multiple parishes in Louisiana and include the stateβs three largest cities, as well as several Mississippi counties and the capital city of Jackson, according to officials.
A severed 911 fiber cable caused outages to have a βregional impact,β according to New Orleans emergency communications officials. Mississippi officials are working with AT&T to determine the scope of the outages after fiber optic lines were damaged, said Scott Simmons, director of external affairs at the stateβs department of emergency management.
Outages were also reported in Fulton County, Illinois, where officials are advising residents to call a non-emergency number, the Canton Police Department said. City officials in Canton said the outage has lasted at least an hour, as they caution residents βthere may be some waitingβ as itβs still unclear when the service will be back up, a spokesperson said.
