What happened to Jaime Jaquez Jr.?
Last season he seemed like a key role player for the HEAT and a big part of their future with a lot of potential.
This year his minutes are down substantially and he’s only played 63 games, picking up DNP-CDs.
At a time when they lose Jimmy, Rozier playing poorly, and their only other guards besides Herro being Alec Burks, Davion Mitchell and Dunc, I would have expected his minutes and role to increase, not decrease.
Did he get hurt, or did he regress in a big way? Why has he not been a bigger factor for the HEAT this year ?

Anthony Edwards becomes the 4th player in NBA history to hit 300 threes.
With his 3rd three tonight, he joins Klay Thompson (1x), James Harden (1x), and Stephen Curry (5x lol) as the only players to hit 300 threes in a season.
However, Malik Beasley will likely also be joining that club anytime within the next few minutes. Historical shooting season for those two! (And Steph will likely get a 6th, cause Steph)

What an insane last week this will be, as the Lakers who are currently in 3rd could fall as far as 8th. Most of these teams play each other, too. Should be a fun last week.

The Warriors, Timberwolves, and Clippers have collectively gone 11-0 while fighting to escape the play-in.

Everyone knows how hectic the western conference is, and a first round upset seems more than likely no matter who qualifies to the next stages. It’s been a dog fight for the the last playoff spots and every team deserves it from how they’ve been playing recently, but only two will make it out unscathed (barring a catastrophic ending from the lakers or nuggets).

Early NBA star Chick Reiser,1956: 'The jump shot has ruined the game.'
You probably don't know who Chick Reiser was, but he was one of the better professional basketball players during the transition from pre-NBA to NBA. In his prime, he was consistently one of the 20 best players in the world, and by all accounts was among the top ten defenders of the 1940s. He played three years in college and 15 years as a pro. He started for three championship teams and was sixth man for a fourth. If I were asked to give my professional opinion on who a good comparison would be for him at his best, I'd probably say his era's equivalent of a Dick Barnett. Or for those of you mostly familiar with the modern game, "if a rich man's undersized version of prime Evan Fournier was also an elite silky-smooth finisher and great defender."
With that background info out of the way, here's the quote:
"It has turned the game into slapstick. The game is entirely different from the old days. It used to be beautiful to watch, fun to play, a scientific game involving lots of teamwork and interesting scoring situations. Now a player doesn't need much help with the jump shot. One dribble, a jump and he can score.
The point I am making is simply that the jump shot has made basketball less interesting, both for spectators and players. It's a breakneck contest now. You grab it, run and shoot. And playing defense, which was once an art, is all but forgotten."

Of the approximately 200 players who will be eligible for post-season awards, Jokic is the only non-Thunder, Cav or Celtic in the Top 20 of Net Rating
Jokic is currently 12th in net rating at 10.5 while the rest of the top 20 is seven OKC, six Cleveland and six Boston players. Player net rating is always going to be dominated by guys on the best teams. So it is particularly meaningful to be mixed into a group of guys whose teams are between 8.5 and 15.5 games ahead of his in the standings.

Andew Bynum is the same age as Stephen Curry
Both are 37. WILD. Feels like Bynum hasn't played in eternity. His last season was in 2014. Had a 10 year career starting in 2004.
Also, Caruso is the same age as Andre Drummond (31) and Torrey Craig is 34 (?????, swear I thought dude was still a kind young feller)
EDIT: also, on May 8th, Jaren Jackson Jr and Toumani Camara will be the same age haha, Camara was drafted in 2023 and JJJ was drafted in 2018
EDIT #2: Aaron Gordon and Dante Exum are the same age as Cam Johnson. Aaron and Dante were drafted in 2014, Cam in 2019.
