Christian, Mother, American, Business Owner, and Congresswoman representing Georgia’s 14th District | Chairwoman @DOGECommittee
WATCH: “Catholic” Martin O’Malley confirms abortion is the sacrament of the Democrat Party.
@RepMTG
This will be the last Christmas that J6 families will be separated or suffering from extreme stress because of political persecution by the Democrats.
Every single one should be pardoned.
Also, Derek Chauvin should be freed, he is a political prisoner as well.
@RepMTG
It’s a Uniparty bill.
@RepMTG
I am one of the most conservative members of Congress and last night I voted for a bill that ordinarily I would never vote for.
However, the man that took a bullet to the face and won the presidential election with 312 electoral college votes, and the most votes of any Republican presidential candidate in history asked me to vote for it, so I did, gladly.

@RepMTG
A vote tonight on a new gov funding bill?
Do we get to read it first?
Do the American people get to read it?
Or do we pass it first to see what’s in it and how much it cost the American people?
By the way folks, the Capital press knows more than most members do right now.
@RepMTG
The House controls policy and appropriations (spending) and can cut programs, departments and agencies, as well as make new laws like term limits and pass a balanced budget amendment.
DOGE could become the legislative branch.
Would you support Elon Musk for Speaker of the House?
Let me know » https://greene.house.gov/forms/form/?ID=72
@RepMTG
I’d be open to supporting Elon Musk for Speaker of the House.
DOGE can only truly be accomplished by reigning in Congress to enact real government efficiency.
The establishment needs to be shattered just like it was yesterday.
This could be the way.
@RepMTG
Thank you, Newt Gingrich!
I’m all in.
The government can shut down all the way until Jan 20th as far as I’m concerned.
AND WE MUST STAND FIRM WITH THE AMERICAN PEOPLE TO STOP THE MADNESS!!
No matter what.
Even if we have to elect new leadership.
I’m ALL IN.
@RepMTG
The past four years of total dysfunction and reckless spending in Washington is solely on Biden and the Democrats.
President Trump shouldn’t have to inherit that problem.
@RepMTG
We need relief for our farmers and those affected by natural disasters, like in North Carolina and Hawaii.
I want to pass this! But I can’t vote for a CR to continue the terrible spending I never voted for in the first place.
We should be having a separate vote immediately to pass this much-needed funding—it shouldn’t be tied to more waste, fraud, and abuse.
@RepMTG
I agree with Elon Musk and Vivek Ramaswamy 100% on the CR!
I was a no on this CR before I even got on an airplane and came to Washington.
This CR is completely inexcusable. It’s horrible.
@RepMTG
God bless Tom Homan!
Americans are being tasked with finding hundreds of thousands of illegal alien children because of the Democrats’ open border policies.
The heartbreaking reality is that many of these kids will probably never be found.
As a mother, this crisis is deeply personal to me.
@RepMTG
Hakeem Jeffries is responsible for so much of the waste, fraud, and abuse that my committee and DOGE are going to root out of government.
I’m also a businesswoman, he’s not.
So I’ll take his critiques with a grain of salt.
@RepMTG
We need to privatize USPS—I’ve been saying it for years!
DOGE and my new committee have a lot of momentum heading into next year.
The American people gave President Trump a mandate, but they gave all of us in Washington a mandate, too.
Selling the Postal Service is a smart decision that keeps our promise to the American people to cut waste, fraud, and abuse.
@RepMTG
The threats members of Congress like myself and my colleague, Tim Burchett, have been receiving are putting a severe strain on already limited police resources.
My local police department has been doing a great job, and I’m so thankful for everything they do to keep me and our entire community safe.
Police officers nationwide are underpaid and deal with the worst part of their communities. It’s a shame that a group of people is unnecessarily putting them in harm’s way, and they should be brought to justice with the full force of the law.
@RepMTG
Government accountability starts with government employees.
I’m so excited to Chair the Delivering On Government Efficiency subcommittee!
I’ll work closely with the Trump admin to make government more efficient, cost effective, and accountable.
▶️ WATCH my opening statement.
@RepMTG
I don’t have words for how incredibly wrong this was.
Especially how Joe Biden always talks about how hard it was to lose his son.
Shame on his staff for allowing him to nap and make those poor grieving families wait.
Shame on all of them for hiding Joe’s age related decline.
@RepMTG
After Johnson completely failed us by not including us in the planning of this year end’s government funding and then dumped a 1,500 page CRomnibus on us Tuesday night with little time to read it and got caught, in his scheme with Schumer, McConnell, and Hakeem, by all the great American people here on X along with Elon Musk and Vivek Ramaswamy, it was President Trump‘s team, our incoming Vice President JD Vance, and then President Trump himself that dove in, in the midnight hour, and came up with a CR that solves the debt ceiling problem for President Trump, and even more importantly, helped hurricane victims, farmers, and would keep the government open.
They shouldn’t have had to do that but they did.
After that CR failed last night, I can assure you nothing good is coming behind it.
But what is worse in my opinion is that we gave up a critical opportunity to unite and pass our own CR sending it to Senate with a powerful message to Schumer and the Dems that come hell or high water we are going to deliver for Pres Trump and the people who elected him.
After this let it shut down.
I’ll only vote to pay our military, border patrol, and key federal law enforcement, and the very basics to keep things running until Jan 20, 2025.
House Republicans, we better figure out how to get this done next year.
And that will require changes.
2/2
@RepMTG
Democrats OWN the shutdown.
@RepMTG
Right on all points.
I’ll just add that Johnson can bring a separate bill to the floor right now to fund disaster aid for hurricane victims.
But won’t do it bc they have to USE them for horse trading in a new version of the CR.
@RepMTG
We should be voting on Disaster Aid for Americans like those affected by Hurricane Helene and Farm bill extension.
Separate from a CR.
We could have already done that this morning.
But instead homeless hurricane victims and poor farmers are being used as trading pawns in the next CR deal being cooked right now.
They do this so that they can attack those of us that still refuse to vote for the CR with ads saying we voted against helping farmers and hurricane victims.
The games never end.
@RepMTG
Democrats are all meeting together in their conference right now all giving their input so they can stick together. Good on them.
Republicans are not and we have been told nothing.
Only some Republican members are going in and out of Speaker Johnson’s office.
Do you see the difference?
Johnson doesn’t understand the mandate.
The American people fired the Democrats, so what they want is irrelevant, and Democrats really need to take that into account.
Democrats need to stop blaming Elon Musk and take a hard look in the mirror and realize their pork in the bill outraged the American people.
Johnson needs to stop the same failed pattern making dirty swamp deals behind closed doors and keeping everyone in the dark.
Republicans need to be working together to deliver the mandate.
That requires big changes in behavior.
And I’m not seeing that this morning after the big smackdown from yesterday.
@RepMTG
The Uniparty is aiming their fire at Elon Musk and blaming him for killing their incestuous porkfest gov funding bill.
However, it was the American people engaging and posting their outrage on X that killed the bill.
But they hate Elon because he bought X and protected free speech, which allowed the people to fight back and stop another Uniparty shit sandwich.
The truth is they hate you, the people, for standing up to them.
They are angry they got caught in such a big way.
These losers waited for months knowing the government funding deadline was Friday, Dec 20th and refused to show any of us members of Congress the bill text until they dumped 1,500+ pages on us Tuesday night.
Same PATHETIC play.
Over and over again.
“Oh no the government is going to run out of money right before Christmas! Whatever will we do!! Gosh golly we must vote for the shit sandwich quick to keep the government running and get home for Christmas!! Oh my!!”
But they got caught with their pants down and now they say it’s Elon Musk’s fault. 🤣
The truth is the Uniparty has been creating this disaster for decades.
They own it. They can’t blame anyone but themselves.
Now it must be broken in order to fix it.
And the messy consequences sit squarely on the Uniparty’s shoulders.
They don’t get to point fingers and blame anyone.
They kept this failing train on the track to destruction and enslaved the American people in $36 TRILLION of debt, created worldwide enemies by funding and fighting foreign wars, and our economy and dollar is on the verge of collapse.
It’s NOT Elon Musk’s fault.
It’s the Uniparty.
@RepMTG
Votes are cancelled tonight.
No communication, planning, or conference meetings have been called.
I don’t know another Republican member who gave any input into the 1,500+ page CRomnibus bill.
We did not know what was in the text until the bill was released last night.
I am very grateful to all the Americans who dove into reading the bill text along with Elon and Vivek and made their voices heard!
If you all keep reading all our bills, with your support and pressure, we can save our country! So thank you
To be clear, the 1,500+ pages released last night were added spending items on top of the CR (continuing resolution) of the 2023 two part omnibus.
A clean 3 month CR would extend the policies and programs funded in the two part 2023 omnibus which totaled $1.66 trillion. So that CR (1/4 of total) would cost approx $415 billion.
Then you would have to add on the extra cost of the items in the 1,500 page bill from last night. We don’t know how much that is!
So I can’t even tell you what the full cost of that proposed CRomnibus would be!
In my opinion, the Americans that need help are the victims of natural disasters like Hurricane Helene and our farmers.
And those relief packages should go to the floor separately asap.
We work for the American people, we should help the American people.
They should not be used as trading pawns between Republicans and Democrats to get what each side wants.
And as far as the rest of the government funding goes, we can’t work it out unless we all get in the room and work it out together.
And I haven’t heard anything on that.
@RepMTG
Thank you President Trump and our next Vice President JD Vance for this STRONG statement!!
I agree 100%!!!
@RepMTG
If Congress is going to release one ethics report, they should release them all.
I want to see the Epstein list.
I want to see the details of the slush fund for sexual misconduct by members of Congress and Senators.
I want to see it all.
@RepMTG
The Christmas CR lump of coal comes with a warning.
Beware the Ides of March..
@RepMTG
Democrat PACs are lurking in the halls of Congress trying to do “gotcha” interviews with Republicans.
I wasn’t having it.
@RepMTG
The American people are greatly concerned about the unidentified drones flying over the Northeast.
We’ve asked everyone for a classified briefing, and members of Congress are still in the dark.
But my understanding is that the Biden administration would just tell us the same things they’re telling the public: people are seeing airplanes, helicopters, and stars.
No one is buying it!! It’s time for the government to come clean.
@RepMTG
This CR is turning into a three-month omnibus, that will result in more Democrats than Republicans voting for it.
The Swamp is using farmers and victims of natural disasters as pawns to fund an over-bloated pet project filled disaster.
I would much rather help farmers and victims of natural disasters than continue a budget I already voted against, funding foreign governments and foreign wars.
Why are farmers and victims of natural disasters always political pawns in an effort to continue funding bloated government?
But it’s the same old Uniparty BS, dangling important programs around as bargaining chip to fuel more government waste and adding to our deficit.
@RepMTG
