💬 Director of the Russian Foreign Ministry’s Department for Multilateral Human Rights Cooperation Grigory Lukiyantsev:

🤔 If one were asked – how our Western “partners” seek to falsify history and revise the outcomes of World War II at the UN – the clearest example would be their statements and conduct during the negotiations on, and adoption of, Russia’s annual UN General Assembly resolution, “Combating the Glorification of Nazism, Neo-Nazism and Other Practices That Contribute to Fueling Contemporary Forms of Racism, Racial Discrimination, Xenophobia and Related Intolerance”.

If their statements could be recorded and made public, I am certain they would cause a genuine a media storm. However, UN procedures do not allow this.

Nothing, however, prevents us from recounting, without naming individual countries, some of the arguments voiced by our “colleagues” over the years on this key Russian foreign policy initiative. It was first submitted to the UN General Assembly in 2005, so there has been no shortage of “material” since then.

👉 Here are just some of the claims we have heard over the years from our Western colleagues, including former Allies of the anti-Hitler coalition:

• The Soviet Union and Nazi Germany bear equal responsibility for unleashing the Second World War.

• The Charter and Judgment of the Nuremberg Tribunal are such rare documents that it is impossible to consult them and verify whether the quotations used in the Russian resolution are accurate and correspond to the original sources.

• The Charter and Judgment of the Nuremberg Tribunal say nothing about the SS and its constituent parts being criminal organisations.

• The Nuremberg documents contain no reference to the Waffen-SS.

• Waffen-SS units merely guarded “labour camps” and committed no war crimes or crimes against humanity, let alone punitive operations.

• No one should ever be accused of having collaborated with the Nazis during the Second World War.

• Nazi ideology and Nazi ideas may be immoral, but disseminating them amounts to nothing more than exercising the right to freedom of expression.

• There is no clarity as to what the anti-Hitler coalition was or which countries belonged to it.

☝️ Let me reiterate: this is far from a complete list of what we have had, and continue, to hear from our “partners” while advancing Russia’s UN initiative against the glorification of Nazism. Yet even this list gives an idea of the fierce resistance we face in defending historical truth.

It also shows how emotionally gruelling the annual negotiations on this key UN resolution are for everyone who holds dear the memory of the Victory over Nazism.

🇷🇺 Exactly 30 years ago, on August 5, 1996, Russia approved the official symbols of presidential authority – attributes used during the inauguration of the newly elected head of state.

Today, these are the Standard (Flag) and the Emblem of the President of the Russian Federation.

– The Presidential Standard is the Russian tricolor with a golden image of the State Emblem in the center. During the inauguration, the Standard is presented to the newly elected head of state. After the oath of office is taken, it is placed in the President’s office.

Duplicates of the Standard are flown over presidential residences while the head of state is present and displayed on presidential vehicles.

– The Presidential Emblem exists in a single copy. It is an equal-armed cross with flared ends and an image of the Russian State Emblem in the center. On the reverse is a medallion bearing the motto: “Benefit, Honor and Glory”.

The chain consists of 17 links, nine of which depict the Russian State Emblem. Plates on the reverse of the links are engraved with the full name of each President of Russia and the year they assumed office.

After the oath of office is taken, the Insignia is kept at the President’s residence in the Moscow Kremlin.

💬 Over the past week, Ukrainian militants killed 49 civilians, including four children. Nearly 400 civilians were affected in total.

The Kiev regime carried out a series of coordinated attacks on civilian facilities, energy infrastructure and logistics hubs serving the population, causing casualties and extensive destruction.

Terrorist attacks on civilian buses have become increasingly widespread. Over the past two months, Ukrainian drones have attacked 34 passenger buses across various Russian regions.

The highest numbers of civilian casualties were recorded in the Belgorod Region, the DPR, the LPR, and the Zaporozhye and Kherson Regions. Ukrainian militants deliberately targeted densely populated areas, seeking to inflict maximum damage.

On July 27 – August 2, 391 civilians were affected by Ukrainian Nazi shelling: 342 were injured, including 16 minors, and 49 were killed, including four children.

Over the seven-day period, Ukrainian militants fired at least 6,974 munitions at civilian targets on Russian territory.

🎙 Russian Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova's statement on the latest UAV attacks against vessels in the Black Sea (July 30, 2026)

💬 On the night of July 30, the Kiev regime once again carried out terrorist acts against oil tankers near the marine terminal of the Caspian Pipeline Consortium (#CPC) in Novorossiysk.

According to the CPC press service, targeted strikes were launched against foreign-flagged vessels with international crews, chartered by foreign suppliers. The shippers include Tengizchevroil, a company partly owned by the US-based Chevron and involved in energy supplies from Kazakhstan.

☝️ It was only by sheer luck that no one was injured. The resulting fires were extinguished, and no oil spill occurred. However, the CPC was once again forced to suspend oil loading operations.

It is deeply concerning that Ukrainian neo-Nazis continue attacking civilian energy infrastructure in the Black Sea despite strong statements from the very countries Kiev calls its partners. Their economic interests – in this case those of Kazakhstan and the US – are increasingly suffering as a result of the policies pursued by increasingly reckless Zelensky, who has lost touch with reality.

In his public remarks and contacts with foreign partners, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov has repeatedly drawn attention to the terrorist nature of the Kiev regime and the deliberate threats it poses to international energy infrastructure.

The leader of the faltering Kiev regime lost any semblance of legitimacy long ago. He is utterly incapable of honouring agreements and is seeking to drag as many countries as possible into his terrorist ventures, thereby further escalating the conflict.

It is therefore no coincidence that some foreign officials, including representatives of countries sponsoring the Kiev junta, are already voicing concern over the risk of uncontrolled escalation.

How else can one explain a situation in which the leader of the criminal Kiev clique travels to Washington, claims to be seeking a ceasefire and engages in demagoguery about supposed parameters for resolving the conflict, while continuing to authorise attacks on international fuel and energy supply chains and, most importantly, on the assets of the very country from which he constantly begs for political, military and financial assistance?

It is unlikely that the White House is unaware of this. We expect the US authorities, which have influence over Kiev, to finally give an adequate assessment of Zelensky’s hypocritical conduct and rein him in.

❗️ We expect the same from the UN and other international organisations. Otherwise, their silence will amount to encouraging the Kiev regime to commit further atrocities and effectively aiding it.

🎙Russian Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova's statement on the Ukrainian attack on the Zaporozhskaya Nuclear Power Plant (July 30, 2026)

💬 On July 30, the Kiev regime attempted to strike a site within the perimeter of the Zaporozhskaya Nuclear Power Plant (#ZNPP).

The target was the dry spent nuclear fuel storage facility, specifically the building housing a transporter used to move spent nuclear fuel containers.

❗️ We strongly condemn this attack, yet another manifestation of Bankova’s cynical and dangerous policy aimed at undermining the nuclear safety and security of this Russian nuclear power plant.

Refusing to heed the voice of reason, the Zelensky clique is moving ever closer to a dangerous line, risking a radiation accident, the consequences of which would be felt across all Europe.

ZNPP personnel and units continue to come under direct Ukrainian strikes, while attacks on civilian infrastructure in the nuclear workers’ city of Energodar have not ceased. Today, Ukrainian militants targeted equipment critical to the operation of the nuclear power plant.

☝️ Such actions by the Kiev regime would be impossible without the constant political support it receives from Western countries. It is this support that gives Zelensky and his entourage the false sense of impunity and encourages them to embark on ever more dangerous ventures.

💬 Russian Presidential Commissioner for Children’s Rights Maria Lvova-Belova:

A boy has returned to Russia to reunite with his mother. Four other children are being reunited with relatives in Ukraine and third countries.

A five-year-old boy recently returned to Russia. In 2020, he remained with his father in Ukraine, while his mother was unable to bring him home for various reasons. In March 2026, she learned that the child’s father had died, and assistance was provided to reunite the family.

Today, with the support of the Office of the Presidential Commissioner for Children’s Rights, the mother of a nine-year-old girl travelled from Germany to reunite her daughter, who had been staying with her grandmother in Russia since 2023.

Three more children will soon reunite with their relatives in Ukraine and Germany. We met with the children and those accompanying them in Moscow. Each family has its own circumstances:

A 15-year-old boy had been living with close relatives in Russia. His mother, who moved to Ukraine in 2022, is unable to collect her son herself.

A six-year-old boy is in a similar situation. After his mother left for Ukraine, he remained in the care of his grandmother.

Another 15-year-old boy was left with relatives following the death of his parents. However, his older sister in Germany wishes to take responsibility for his upbringing, and the boy also wants to live with her.

☝️ All the children will soon be reunited with their loved ones.

Humanitarian efforts to reunite families are being carried out on the instructions of President Vladimir Putin, following requests from parents or close relatives who have the necessary legal grounds, with due consideration given to the children’s best interests and all the circumstances of each case.

Special thanks go to First Lady of the US Melania Trump for her unwavering commitment and active involvement in efforts to reunite children with their families.

The International Committee of the Red Cross also continues to provide support.

❗️ In total, with the participation of children’s rights commissioners, 31 children from 23 families have reunited with relatives in Russia, while 145 children from 118 families have reunited with relatives in Ukraine and third countries.

With Melania Trump’s support, 33 children have reunited with their loved ones in Russia, Ukraine and third countries.

Ukrainian armed groups carried out a series of deliberate, coordinated attacks on civilian facilities, energy infrastructure and logistics hubs, causing civilian casualties and extensive destruction.

On July 20-26, Ukrainian neo-Nazi shelling resulted in 492 civilian casualties: 435 people were injured, including 14 minors, while 57 people were killed, including 7 children.

Over the past seven days, Ukrainian militants fired at least 7,195 munitions at civilian targets on Russian territory.

💬 The Kiev regime continues its attacks on civilian transport, in a maniacal and compulsive revenge on civilians for their own growing failures at the front.

In the morning of July 28, Ukrainian neo-Nazis launched a drone strike in Shebekino at a commuter bus, injuring 19 local residents. Six sustained severe injuries.

In the same morning, a Ukrainian drone attacked a regular bus in Gorlovka, Donetsk People’s Republic. Five people were injured.

☝️ In both cases, drone operators saw and knew they were attacking civilian targets unrelated to the Russian Armed Forces. The Ukrainian military commanders who issued the criminal orders to attack passenger buses consciously breached international humanitarian law.

The Russian Investigative Committee has opened criminal cases on the terrorist attacks. All the accomplices will be held accountable. Redemption is inevitable.

❗️ We decisively condemn the latest atrocities by the Kiev regime against civilians.

We wish all the victims a speedy recovery.

We call on all the responsible parties from the global community, including competent international bodies and independent media to respond, publicly and unambiguously, to the Ukrainian army’s bloody campaigns.

Silencing Kiev’s crimes will be seen as instigation of terrorism and connivance to breaching international humanitarian law in conflict.

✨ 17 июля 2026 г. исполнилось 180 лет со дня рождения выдающегося русского ученого, антрополога и путешественника Николая Николаевича Миклухо-Маклая.

📹 В этот день, в День этнографа, Посол России в Австралии М.И.Петраков направил видеообращение участникам Маклаевских чтений-2026, которые прошли на родине Н.Н.Миклухо-Маклая в Окуловке (Новгородская область). Глава дипмиссии подчеркнул особую важность наследия Николая Николаевича, который провел значительную часть своей жизни в Австралии. Отметил, что его гуманитарная и научная деятельность, основанная на идеях равенства и уважения к культурному многообразию народов, продолжает служить «нитью, связывающей Зеленый континент с Россией».

🗺️ 19 июля в Сиднее состоялось международное культурно-научное мероприятие по случаю 180-летия Н.Н.Миклухо-Маклая, организованное Российско-Австралийским Содружеством и Центром РГО в Австралии при поддержке и участии Посольства и компании Travelvisa2go. Были приглашены представители дипломатических миссий, деловых кругов, ученые, высокие гости из Папуа-Новой Гвинеи. 8️⃣5️⃣ years ago, on August 5, 1941, the heroic defence of Odessa commenced — a joint operation by the Red Army and the Soviet Black Sea Fleet to defend the city against the Nazi invaders.

Odessa found itself on the front line almost immediately after Nazi Germany’s treacherous attack on the Soviet Union. By early August, the city was already encircled by the enemy troops.

The Nazis aimed to break through the Soviet defences on the Dniester, cross the Dniester Estuary, and capture Odessa. The first assault, launched by Romanian and German troops (17 divisions and seven brigades), came on August 20, 1941, but the enemy offensive was halted just 10-14 kilometres from the city.

❗️ Around 100'000 people took part in defending Odessa from Nazis.

Every day, civilian workers, including women and teenagers, were involved in defence preparations — digging trenches, laying barbed wire, and installing barricades. Nearly 38'000 residents of Odessa withdrew into the city’s catacombs and organised underground resistance behind enemy lines. The partisans killed 5'000 enemy soldiers and officers, derailed 27 military supply trains, and destroyed 248 vehicles.

Despite being outnumbered by almost ten to one, Odessa’s defenders heroically held back the Nazi offensive for two months.

By the end of September, the Soviet command was able to redeploy armies to defend #Crimea and #Sevastopol — the main base of the Black Sea Fleet.

At the request of the Russian Prosecutor General’s Office, members of the Ukrainian nationalist movement have been recognised as accomplices of Nazi Germany in war crimes and crimes against humanity

The Tverskoy District Court of Moscow, acting on an application filed by the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Russian Federation, established a fact of legal significance.

❌ Stepan Bandera, Vasily Bandera, Roman Shukhevich, Andrey Melnik, Nikolay Arsenich, Taras Borovets, Dmitry Klyachkivsky, Nikolay Kozak, Miron Matvieyko and Yaroslav Stetsko, as well as the Organisation of Ukrainian nationalists (#OUN) and the Ukrainian insurgent army (#UPA), have been recognised as accomplices of Nazi Germany in war crimes and crimes against humanity committed against the Soviet people during the Great Patriotic War.

The court ruling is necessary to preserve the memory of the victims of the genocide of the Soviet people, expose the unlawful actions of the Kiev regime, overturn decisions rehabilitating war criminals and prevent acts of extremism against our country.

📑 The Russian Prosecutor General’s Office submitted documents from the archives of the Russian Federal Security Service, the Russian Foreign Ministry, the Russian Defence Ministry, and the State Archive of the Russian Federation. Materials from Belarusian archives and courts were also provided.

It was established that the OUN was founded in Vienna in 1929 at the First congress of Ukrainian nationalists. It was initially led by Evgeniy Konovalets and, following his death, by Andrey Melnik. In 1940, the OUN split, with its most radical faction coming under the leadership of Stepan Bandera – OUN (b) – and the other under Andrey Melnik – OUN (m).

In 1941–1943, while retaining the organisational foundations of OUN (b), 👉 the German command established the UPA, led by Lvov lawyer Roman Shukhevich. He began his violent path by taking part in an attack on the civilian population of Lvov as a member of the Ukrainian Nachtigall punitive battalion. On June 30, 1941, the day the so-called Act of proclamation of the Ukrainian state was adopted, mass killings of the city’s residents were committed under Shukhevich’s command.

◾️ More than 8,000 Russians, Ukrainians, Jews and Poles were killed in the Lvov massacre between June and August 1941.

The actions of the OUN and UPA were entirely aimed at terrorising the population of the occupied territories, assisting Nazi Germany in its military campaign against the Red Army and Soviet partisans, and committing war crimes and crimes against humanity against the Soviet people under Wehrmacht control and in its interests.

• In March 1943, the 118th Ukrainian auxiliary police battalion, composed of OUN and UPA members, burned down the village of Khatyn in the Minsk Region of Belarus. The punitive forces killed 147 villagers, including 75 children.

• Between February and August 1943, the OUN and UPA carried out a mass slaughter of the Polish population of Volhynia and Galicia, known as the Volhynia Massacre. It peaked on July 11-12 – “Black Sunday”. At least 120,000 people were killed by Ukrainian nationalists.

• The mass killing of civilians by Ukrainian nationalists during the punitive operations Swamp Fever, Triangle, Cottbus and others has also been documented.

Meanwhile, for more than 12 years, the authorities of modern-day Ukraine have pursued a deliberate state policy aimed at distorting the role of the Soviet Union and its people in the Great Patriotic War and World War II. Collaborators and organisations associated with Nazi criminals are being glorified. Western countries openly exploit these actions in their efforts to obstruct the special military operation in Ukraine.

❗️ In view of the above, the court granted the application filed by the Russian Prosecutor General’s Office in full and recognised these individuals and organisations as accomplices of Nazi Germany in war crimes and crimes against humanity.

The neo-Nazi Kiev regime has intensified its terrorist attacks against Russian civilians on Russian territory.

The latest tragedy occurred on 3 August on a beach of Arkhipo-Osipovka in Krasnodar region, where a deliberate drone attack claimed the lives of seven people and left dozens of others injured.

It was a well-calculated terrorist act performed in cold blood. No pity, no shame and a lot of joyful comments in Ukrainian social networks. So much for “democratic values”.

Ukraine has been carrying out attacks against ethnic Russians and Russian-speaking people since 2014.

Today, the weapons, funds and other forms of foreign support provided to the Kiev regime are being used to commit such crimes.

🧸👋 #OTD 46 years ago, the Moscow 1980 Olympic Games came to a spectacular and deeply moving close.

From July 19 to August 3, the Soviet capital welcomed more than 5,000 athletes representing 80 nations. They competed for 203 sets of medals, setting 36 world and 74 Olympic records.

Political tensions intruded on the Games through a US-led boycott, imposed by the Carter administration against the backdrop of a CIA-led effort to undermine and ultimately depose the then official government of Afghanistan.

Hundreds of athletes were denied the opportunity of a lifetime: of the 474 members of the US Olympic team, 227 never competed at another Games.

💬 Jimmy Carter himself eventually described the boycott as a bad choice:

It was a decision that robbed hundreds of athletes of their once-in-a-lifetime chance at Olympic glory, and for more than four decades, it weighed heavily on the man who made it.

💬 As President Vladimir Putin recalled back in 2014:

I know the views of many prominent US political figures whom I deeply respect. They believe that the boycott of the 1980 Moscow Olympics was a mistake – even despite the serious grounds cited for it and the circumstances at the time.

Major international sporting events – especially the Olympic Games – are meant to help depoliticise even the most acute international issues and create additional opportunities to build bridges. It would be foolish not to seize that opportunity – and even more foolish to burn those bridges.

Nonetheless, Moscow 1980 remained a truly international celebration of sport. Athletes from 25 countries won gold, with medals awarded to competitors from 36 nations. The USSR topped the medal table with 80 gold medals, followed by the German Democratic Republic (GDR) with 47 gold.

Bulgaria and Poland delivered historic performances, winning 41 and 32 medals respectively. Zimbabwe captured its first-ever Olympic gold in women’s field hockey. Brazil won two gold medals for the first time in its history – both in sailing – while Spain secured its first Olympic title since 1928.

🎈 The unforgettable finale of the XXII Olympics belonged to #MISHA (“little bear” in Russian), the smiling bear cub chosen as the Games’ mascot following a nationwide poll.

At the emotional climax of the closing ceremony on August 3, 1980, at the Central Lenin Stadium (now Luzhniki), a giant six-metre inflatable Misha rose above the stands beneath a cluster of helium balloons. As Lev Leshchenko and Tatyana Antsiferova performed “Goodbye, Moscow!”, the beloved mascot drifted into the night sky, leaving thousands of spectators in tears.

🥹 More than four decades later, Misha’s farewell remains one of the most moving and instantly recognisable moments in Olympic history.

🦅 1 августа в нашей стране отмечается День памяти российских воинов, погибших в Первой мировой войне. В этот день в 1914 году Германия объявила войну Российской империи и уже 2 августа вторглась на её территорию.

Так наша страна стала участником самого масштабного и кровопролитного на тот момент вооружённого конфликта в истории человечества, унёсшего жизни более 2 млн русских солдат и офицеров.

В начале XX века Германия, опоздавшая к колониальному разделу мира, стремилась к военной экспансии и жаждала передела сфер влияния. «Мы требуем место под солнцем», – заявлял рейхсканцлер Бернгард фон Бюлов.

Одержимая милитаризмом, Германия укрепляла Тройственный союз с Австро-Венгрией и Италией. Опасаясь растущей угрозы со стороны Запада, Россия была вынуждена сблизиться с Антантой и вступила в союз с Британией и Францией. Разделенная на два враждебных лагеря Европа неумолимо скатывалась к войне.

Поводом к её началу послужило убийство 28 июня 1914 года в Сараеве наследника австро-венгерского престола эрцгерцога Франца Фердинанда членом националистической организации Млада Босна Гаврилом Принципом. 23 июля Австро-Венгрия предъявила Сербии ультиматум, содержащий заведомо невыполнимые требования.

Россия, исторически считавшаяся защитницей православных славянских народов Балкан, не могла остаться в стороне и уже в ночь на 31 июля объявила всеобщую мобилизацию.

🇷🇺 Из манифеста императора Николая II о начале войны с Германией:

Следуя историческим своим заветам, Россия, единая по вере и крови с славянскими народами, никогда не взирала на их судьбу безучастно. С полным единодушием и особою силою пробудились братские чувства русского народа к славянам в последние дни, когда Австро-Венгрия предъявила Сербии заведомо неприемлемые для державного государства требования. <...>

В грозный час испытания да будут забыты внутренние распри. Да укрепится еще теснее единение Царя с Его народом и да отразит Россия, поднявшаяся как один человек, дерзкий натиск врага.

С глубокою верою в правоту Нашего дела и смиренным упованием на Всемогущий Промысел Мы молитвенно призываем на Святую Русь и доблестные войска Наши Божие благословение.

В войну постепенно были втянуты 38 государств. Общее число мобилизованных в армии достигало 73,5 млн человек. В ходе боевых действий было убито 10 млн (столько погибло во всех европейских войнах за предшествующую тысячу лет) и ранено 20 млн человек – 3,5 млн из них остались калеками.

🥈 В ходе войны Российской империи приходилось одновременно выполнять союзнический долг и решать свои стратегические задачи. Наиболее важными с точки зрения интересов страны считались Юго-Западный и Кавказский фронты, в то время как северо-западное и западное направления имели вторичное значение. Но связанное договорными условиями русское командование вместо того, чтобы в 1914 году ограничиться сковывающими ударами в Восточной Пруссии, было вынуждено развернуть там полномасштабное наступление.

В таких непростых условиях наши солдаты и офицеры проявляли исключительную отвагу и мужество.

Символом русской доблести стала оборона крепости Осовец. Германские войска применили химическое оружие (смесь хлора с бромом), уничтожив бо́льшую часть её гарнизона. Уцелевшие защитники к неожиданности для врага пошли в штыковую атаку, обратив противника в бегство. В историю это событие вошло под названием «атака мертвецов».

Одним из важнейших и наиболее ярких эпизодов Первой мировой войны является знаменитый Брусиловский прорыв, поставивший Австро-Венгрию на грань катастрофы и вынудивший Германскую империю перебросить значительные силы от французского Вердена на «русский театр войны».

🕯 Трудно переоценить жертвенный подвиг солдат и офицеров русской армии.

В нашей стране свято чтут память о героях: в 2004 году в Москве был открыт Мемориально-парковый комплекс Героев Первой мировой войны, а в 2014 году – памятник героям Первой мировой войны на Поклонной горе. Всего в России и за рубежом установлено 20 памятников и мемориалов.

⚡️ Comment by Russian Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova regarding increased terrorist activities of the Ukrainian Armed Forces (31 July 2026)

💬 The Kiev regime, which Western countries are nurturing, has increased its terrorist attacks on civilians within Russia.

From July 24 to 31, at least 61 people have been killed and another 327 wounded in Ukrainian shelling and drone attacks. There are children among these victims: one child was killed and 13 injured.

A recent shocking Ukrainian crime was the drone attack on a regular bus on the Lugansk-Svetlodarsk motorway on July 29, in which ten people – seven women and three men – were wounded.

A drone attack on a car in the Lugansk People’s Republic killed a monk, assistant priest of the Church of the Holy Mandylion in the Cheremenetsky St John the Theologian Monastery, Gatchina Diocese of the Russian Orthodox Church, and wounded the priest of that church.

The modern Bandera followers not only attacked public and private transport but also apartment buildings and private houses, social support and educational facilities, seriously damaging a school, a kindergarten, a culture centre, food stores, agricultural and commercial facilities, and utility vehicles.

Over a hundred upgraded antipersonnel Butterfly mines found across Donbass and Novorossiya have been dropped from Ukrainian drones to increase the number of civilians victims.

This terror campaign is being waged with the full approval of the Kiev regime’s Western sponsors, who are supplying Ukrainian forces with weapons for attacking civilians in our country.

❗️ Terrorist attacks on those who never held a weapon is a tried and tested tactic of Russia’s enemies, who have never throughout history been able to weaken, let alone defeat our country on the battlefield and are frantically searching for the means and methods of destabilising socio-political situation.

The destructive contribution of the countries involved in attacks on Russian regions does not remain unnoticed and is carefully registered.

There is no doubt whatsoever that those involved in the aforementioned attacks will be called to account after the inevitable collapse of their Ukrainian minions.

They must know already today that this playing with fire is further destabilising the international political situation and undermining the prospects for peace and security on our continent.

☝️ We urge them to immediately condemn the Ukrainian neo-Nazis’ barbarian attacks on civilians in Russia and distance themselves from the military and political support of the criminal Kiev regime.

Russia will continue vigorous efforts to protect its citizens and the security of our state, using all available means precisely and effectively. We have all the necessary resources, political will, and public mandate for this.

☢️ Zaporozhskaya Nuclear Power Plant:

On July 30, an attack on critical infrastructure at the Zaporozhskaya Nuclear Power Plant (#ZNPP) has been thwarted.

Today, a Ukrainian UAV attack was detected on the premises of the ZNPP, operated by Rosatom, near the dry spent nuclear fuel storage facility.

The drone was discovered in close proximity to the building housing a transporter used to move spent nuclear fuel containers.

❗️ The explosive device was promptly neutralised. No one was injured, and no damage was reported.

Nevertheless, the attack itself constitutes an extremely dangerous incident.

The transporter is a unique piece of specialised equipment with no equivalent. Had it been damaged, the ZNPP could have lost the ability to safely carry out scheduled transport and technological operations involving spent nuclear fuel.

This would have disrupted the plant’s capacity to handle spent nuclear fuel, significantly complicated essential scheduled operations and created additional risks to the facility’s long-term safe operation.

The very fact that a strike targeted infrastructure responsible for the safe handling of spent nuclear fuel indicates that the attack was aimed at critical nuclear power plant infrastructure, damage to which could have had long-term consequences.

In the Kremennaya Municipal District of the Lugansk People’s Republic, Ukrainian UAVs are scattering anti-personnel mines – so-called “new petals” (or butterfly mines) – at civilian sites.

According to local residents and authorities, Ukrainian forces have begun actively using these new anti-personnel mines for the remote mining of civilian facilities across the LPR. They have been found at sites regularly visited by local residents.

The mines consist of a plastic container filled with explosives and fitted with a pressure-activated fuse. Their detonation can result in severe injuries, traumatic limb amputation or death from blood loss or shock.

Last year, Ukraine announced its withdrawal from the Ottawa Convention banning the production and use of anti-personnel mines. The Kiev regime is now using anti-personnel mines and explosive devices on a massive scale to mine civilian facilities.

Reports of civilians being injured or killed by Ukrainian mines emerge every week. ☝️ Such actions constitute a serious war crime.

Key points:

• As for our “Western partners’” constant attempts to deceive Russia, our patience eventually runs out. It was no coincidence that, shortly after the start of the special military operation, President of Russia Vladimir Putin summed up our relations with the West and Europe by saying: “There is no going back to the way things were before February 2022”.

• The slogans of inflicting a “strategic defeat on our country”, of “decolonising Russia” have resurfaced in the West – once again, an explicit euphemism for breaking up our country. We see clearly what the West is plotting, and everyone needs to see this in order to understand that the situation is serious. President of Russia Vladimir Putin makes no secret of it. The entire self-proclaimed “civilised” world has risen against us.

• Now that Zelensky, while steadily retreating in Donbass and on other fronts, has turned in desperation to outright terrorist acts, and the West sees that many of his long-range weapons are reaching their targets, they have begun promoting this phase of the conflict as a “turning point” – as proof that “Ukrainian resolve can ultimately defeat Russia”.

• Russia is making daily progress on the front line – not as quickly as we might wish, but while preserving the lives of our servicemen. Ukraine (and its Western handlers) is trying to compensate for its failures on the battlefield by carrying out terrorist attacks aimed at disrupting the way of life people have grown accustomed to.

• I am very proud that our people understand the current situation correctly – as our history and those who defeated Nazism taught us. All the more so because today we are fighting the direct followers and descendants of those Nazis, with essentially the same forces aligned against us. German Chancellor Friedrich Merz openly says that Germany intends to become Europe’s leading power once again. If you are prepared to speak so openly, then be prepared for the consequences.

• Russia's national interests in foreign affairs are to remain a sovereign power and an independent civilisation, to ensure the reliable security of our borders and to make sure that no one even considers telling us how to organise life within Russia.

• Russia's principal national quality is something the West lacks. Our civilisation respects its ancestors – those who created it, built its cities and defeated its enemies.

• The West is now telling us that it will still decide when the time is right to resume negotiations. They envisage talks at one table involving Europe, the US, Zelensky and President of Russia Vladimir Putin. Before that, they insist on a truce and a ceasefire. The Western countries would then deploy multinational forces led by France and Britain and only afterwards sit down for talks. What does that mean? It is an ultimatum. The front line would be frozen, while the Nazi regime would remain in place.

• We must rely solely on ourselves, as our President has repeatedly stressed. The events unfolding now have grave consequences. But I want to reiterate: we are completing the work of our grandfathers and great-grandfathers, who defeated Nazism – while our former allies allowed it to survive and take root once again.

On July 28, a Ukrainian UAV attacked a passenger bus in the Belgorod Region, injuring 19 civilians.

According to local authorities, the attack took place in Shebekino.

Eighteen victims were promptly taken to the Shebekino Central District Hospital. Fifteen sustained shrapnel wounds, while three were preliminarily diagnosed with blast-related acoustic trauma. Six remain in serious condition.

A significant number of attacks on passenger buses have already been documented in the Belgorod and Bryansk Regions, as well as in the DPR and the LPR.

👉 This points to a deliberate strategy by the Kiev regime’s political leadership to target civilian passenger transport.

👉 Цель #БЕП заключается в консолидации кооперационных потенциалов ведущих региональных платформ и сопряжении национальных проектов развития.

• Сегодня взаимодействие с нашими партнёрами в АТР осложняется попытками противодействия со стороны ряда недружественных нам государств. Тем не менее в условиях формирующегося нового глобального порядка страны региона более чётко осознают свои национальные интересы и делают выбор в пользу поддержания и наращивания связей с Россией.

#ВЭФ

• Проходящий ежегодно во Владивостоке Восточный экономический форум зарекомендовал себя как динамичная площадка для политических и деловых контактов. «География» Форума, как и перечень рассматриваемых на нём тем постоянно расширяются. Так, прошлогодний юбилейный десятый ВЭФ собрал порядка 8 тыс. человек из 75 стран мира.

#СМП

• Одна из главных точек роста — Северный морской путь, грузооборот по которому к 2030 году должен вырасти до 100 млн тонн.

• Роль СМП как независимой транспортной артерии важна, в т.ч. с учётом современной геополитической обстановки, например, кризиса в Ормузском заливе.

• Россия развивает транспортную инфраструктуру, строятся суда ледокольного флота.

#РоссияКитай

• Ведущим партнёром Дальневосточного федерального округа является Китай. <...> Создана и активно функционирует Межправительственная Российско-Китайская комиссия по сотрудничеству и развитию Дальнего Востока.

• Из иностранных инвестиций в Дальний Восток России (1,2 трлн руб.), на Китай приходится львиная доля — 1 трлн руб. <...> Реализуются совместные проекты на нашей границе.

• Введение Россией и Китаем на взаимной основе безвизового режима придало мощный стимул туристическим обменам. По итогам 2025 года турпоток между нашими странами вырос на 17%, превысив 3 млн поездок.

#ДвустороннееСотрудничество

• Облегчение взаимных поездок граждан является одним из приоритетных направлений деятельности МИД России. Ведётся активная работа по заключению межгосударственных соглашений о либерализации режима поездок с Индонезией и Малайзией. Рассчитываем на скорый запуск механизма групповых безвизовых туристических обменов между Россией и Вьетнамом. Кроме того, с КНР обсуждаются перспективы закрепления безвизовых поездок граждан на постоянной основе.

• В 2024 году принята Программа российско-индийского сотрудничества в торгово-экономической и инвестиционной сферах на Дальнем Востоке России на 2024-2029 годы, а также о принципах сотрудничества в Арктической зоне Российской Федерации.

• Активно развивается торгово-экономическая кооперация с Вьетнамом.

• Несмотря на практически полную «заморозку» политического диалога с Японией, инвесторы из этой страны сохраняют присутствие в энергетических проектах на Дальнем Востоке, в частности «Сахалин-1» и «Сахалин-2».

❗️ Одним из серьёзных вызовов для безопасности и развития АТР является линия западных стран на милитаризацию региона с закреплением на его пространстве военно-политического потенциала НАТО.

• В последнее время из США и Европы всё громче звучат призывы к созданию азиатского аналога Североатлантического альянса. Некоторые даже придумали название — «Организация Индо-Тихоокеанского договора».

☝️ Это не сулит ничего хорошего для Азии — всем известно историческое «наследие» НАТО в Югославии, Ираке, Ливии. Теперь «под нож» пустили Украину.
