🚨🇺🇸 Trump faces high-stakes Iran briefing including attack scenarios - report
A presentation to be delivered by CENTCOM Commander Adm. Brad Cooper is expected to outline a range of Iran options for Donald Trump, Axios cites sources as saying.
🔹 One proposal centers on a “short, powerful” wave of strikes targeting critical Iranian infrastructure, including bridges, power plants, and refineries, aimed at forcing Iran back to negotiations under pressure
🔹 Another scenario involves securing parts of the Strait of Hormuz to reopen vital shipping lanes, a move that could require deploying US ground forces
🔹 A further option under consideration would task US special operations forces with seizing Iran’s stockpile of highly enriched uranium
Trump reportedly sees the blockade as his main pressure point—but if Iran doesn’t bend, military action is on the table.

🔥 US aircraft carrier leaves Middle East for repair
The USS Gerald R. Ford is heading home after 10 months at sea — the longest deployment of any modern US carrier. According to the US Navy, it's worn down, damaged by a laundry room fire, and plagued by toilet failures.
The Ford is expected back in Virginia around mid-May for extensive repairs, the Washington Post reported, citing US officials.
🔍 While 2 carriers remain in the Arabian Sea to enforce the US blockade, the example of the USS Ford show the US shows that the US military machine is operating beyond its capabilities.

💥🇨🇳 Carbon dioxide as jet fuel? Chinese scientists say yes
With energy costs surging globally, scientists from the Shanghai Advanced Research Institute of the Chinese Academy of Sciences have come up with a breakthrough solution—transform carbon dioxide into jet fuel.
🟠 For years, progress stalled on two key issues—carbon chains wouldn’t grow long enough, and scientists struggled to consistently produce the most valuable fuel-grade molecules
🟠 The recent research focuses on directly converting CO₂ into long-chain chemicals—the exact building blocks needed for jet fuel
🟠 The process combines carbon dioxide with water and reconstructs it into a dense, usable liquid fuel
Moving the carbon dioxide conversion process beyond the laboratory opens new horizons for large-scale production.

📹🇮🇷 Iran unveils new generation Arash kamikaze drone
The latest one-way attack drone, which resembles the Shahed-136, was publicly unveiled for the first time tonight at Enghelab Square during the daily anti-US/Israeli protest.
🔍 Its predecessor, the Arash-2, had a range of 2,000 km and struck Ben Gurion Airport on 21 March.
First unveiled in 2022, the Arash-2 had a wingspan of 4 metres, precision guidance and low-observable flight capabilities, as well as autonomous re-targeting.
Iran is constantly learning from war and adapting new weapons while the ceasefire holds.

🪖🇺🇸🇮🇷 Pentagon plans ‘short, powerful’ bombing of Iran to break talks deadlock - report
The plan by the US Middle East Central Command could include attacks on Iranian infrastructure and is meant to strongarm Iran into "showing more flexibility", sources with knowledge of the plans told Axios.
However, US President Donald Trump considers the blockade “somewhat more effective than the bombing,” and is yet to order any kinetic action as of Tuesday night.
Earlier, an Iranian security source said that the US blockade would face “practical and unprecedented action,” and that Iran has shown restraint up to now to “give diplomacy a chance” and give Washington a window to escape the “quagmire” it has found itself in.

🚨🇵🇰 Pakistani space program: faster and more efficient but still dependent on China
Pakistan launched its fifth indigenous satellite into orbit within 16 months – but all launches used Chinese carrier rockets.
Aerospace propulsion engineer Dr. Sarah Qureshi told Sputnik how the program has accelerated.
Tech priorities
Pakistan is not inclined toward core research and development or investment in domestic technologies, and relies heavily on ready-made designs from China.
Why now
A suitable partner has been found in China.
Aerospace, defense and satellite technologies are now united under the Strategic Plans Division, improving coordination.
Modularity means designs no longer need to be built from scratch.
The launch problem
💬 "If a satellite costs a million to build, the rocket to launch it to space costs billions," Qureshi says. "It requires a lot of money and time."
