Former CIA analyst Larry Johnson says Russia and China appear to be coordinating closely with Iran on a new security framework for the Gulf.
Johnson noted that both Russian President Vladimir Putin and Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi used the phrase “security architecture in the Gulf” after talks with Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi.

📹 Explosion hits New Orleans-area refinery — reports
An explosion and fire broke out at the Chalmette Refinery in Louisiana, around 10 miles east of New Orleans, US media reported.
The incident occurred at an operating unit shortly before 1 p.m. local time. Fire crews brought the blaze under control, while refinery officials said all workers in the area were safe and accounted for.
💥 Witnesses said nearby buildings shook from the blast, with flames and a large smoke plume seen rising over the refinery.
Officials said air monitoring was underway and no toxic chemicals had impacted local air quality. The cause of the explosion remains under investigation.
📈 Energy experts warned the incident could add pressure to gasoline, diesel and jet fuel prices in the US South and Mid-South, amid existing oil market strain linked to the war with Iran.
