⚡🇧🇩 A lot of channels, specifically pro Indian media outlets have been posting outright misinformation regarding the events taking place in Bangladesh. For example, this video is being spread as if a trade deal is taking place between protestors on the rifle they are holding. This is not true at all.
If you speak Bengali, it can be clearly seen that there is no trade deal taking place. What happened was that a shootout took place in a place called Badda, and these protestors were able to acquire this rifle from the person shooting it at them. They speculate in the video about the origins of this rifle, saying it probably belongs to a Pro Hasina police officer or a RAW Agent (being said in the video). Also this gun looks fake asf.

A lot of these sort of protests get over hyped on Telegram, but the typical pattern being that they ultimately fizzle out and accomplish nothing: the Yellow Vest protests for example, or even the protests in Sri Lanka that only appeared to take over their government, but ultimately the same regime came back to power overnight.
Protests/Riots should be a catalyst for something else, something greater and more permanent, but short of that they burn out and the regime always stays in power, gaining extra political capital to punish the leaders of these protests.

It's actually hilarious just how profoundly fucked this country is long term and I think this current AI bubble is perfectly indicative of it. A bubble started entirely by OpenAI, a company that has now made itself utterly indispensable to the entire tech industry while being so routinely unprofitable that it needs regular cash injections from Microsoft and other companies just to stave off bankruptcy for another year. All while scraping the entire internet for diminishing returns to its AI models, with the end goal of building an AI that is smart enough that they can ask it how to make a return on investment.
The fact that a company this obviously doomed can manage to become as powerful as Google in not even a quarter of Googles total existence as a company is a damning indictment not just on our current economic system, but is a daunting look behind the curtain of how this entire circus is being run now.
