If all of the Eligius ships knew/or had the same fail safe code, why wasn’t a new safe code used when the primes were at odds with the COG? Wouldn’t that mean Gabriel would’ve been able to bring the shield down whenever he wanted?

How do people rewatch the show?

I'll start by saying I absolutely loved watching the show from start to finish the first time around. I see tons of posts about people rewatching the show but I'm curious about people's motivation behind a rewatch. I've never really been a person that can rewatch shows. After I watch a show I can remember basically everything about each episode, so I have never really attempted a rewatch of any of my favorite shows. I guess this is the reason movie critics say they wish they could watch their favourite movie for the first time again. Instead of a rewatch I tend to go onto watch a different show.

Thank you for putting up with my ramblings, here's the question.

For those who rewatch the show, how does remembering all of the events of the show not stop you from enjoying the show again?

Edit: I've been convinced, I'm going to give rewatching a try.

The prisoners in Season 5

Like, are we supposed to believe all the radiation that existed for 97 years before Praimfaya 2 just went away after the five years we were told the Arkes and Grounders couldn’t survive on the ground due to the high radiation levels? Yes, then the levels had gone down but these people have developed more tolerance to radiation then ”regular” humans. In Season 2, the main plot is about that Mount Weather can’t handle the elevated radiation levels outside so they burn and die. We’re shown that the radiation goes away slowly and are harmful to non-adapted people. The prisoners of Season 5 were born pre-apocalypse Praimfaya 1. They spent 100 years in space, most in cryosleep. How the hell are they not burning when they step foot on Earth? They state several times that they are not Nightbloods (blood alteration). Is the show’s answer that they adjusted in space too? But, if so, how? Wouldn’t radiation would harm your body more then make your body more able to metabolize it? Is it like low-dose radiation for a 100 years? But just our Sun sends enough radiation rays to severely harms outside the ozone layer. In Season 2, people unexposed to the Ground didn’t adapt but in Season 5 they do.

Am I missing something? An explanation in the show?

S2 E8; it all goes downhill from here?

Upon rewatching the 100, I feel like Finn’s death causes a catalyst of things to happen, and this is where the series starts to go downhill for me.

Once he dies, Clarke loses her empathy and becomes the Clarke that views ”love as weakness”. Alongside this, everyone is traumatised, and this big character death only multiplies as they begin to kill off main characters like Lexa, Lincoln, etc. Then AI is introduced, and everything just gets boring and all the characters fall apart in the last couple seasons. And then they kill Bellamy. Still fucked up by them killing Bel for no fucking reason.

If anything, i’d argue the writing just got progressively shittier.

Imagine if they had banished Finn instead. Clarke could’ve confided support in Bellamy and they could’ve fallen in love. Finn could have even made cameos in future seasons and reunited with them at the end.

I think it all goes back to Bellarke.

First time watcher - Season 6 feels like Midsommar with war

First time watcher here, just finished the 3rd episode of Season 6 and man.. it feels like Clarke is having an acid trip in Midsommar.

The colors, the religion stuff (at least looks religious to me), the food.. it's a completely different show now.

I'm kinda curious to see where this is going but Jasper did make a point on that letter saying there is no light at the end of the tunnel, there's only a tunnel. These people can't catch a break.

Side note: I actually like Diyoza? Lmao her face when they told her she's on history books next to Hitler and Bin Laden.

Rewatching the show and I'm still pissed

I'm pissed Clarke didn't get to go with the others. I'm rewatching and seeing how Clarke didn't always prefer murder. She says to Bellamy "No we don't get to decide who lives or dies" in s1 but because of everything that happened to them her views changed. And the finale s7 is all about how she can't go find peace because of her mind but there's literally hundreds of people with the same mind who got peace .

Now I get this may be insanely controversial but I think Bellamy and Clarke not getting together was the right choice and them just being best friends actually benefited the story more cause I just think if they get together we probably wouldn’t have gotten to much tension or drama or disagreements that they have throughout the series because they probably would of played it differently due to them being together so they wouldn’t want tot ruin that but for me the 100 strongest points is that drama and tension amongst the characters anyway what yous think I know I’m gonna get smoked for this but I don’t care 🫣🤣

One very contradicting question

Why did the grounders even attacked skaikru in the first place, why were they so hostile the moment they landed, its not like they done bad things the moment they land

I get it if you attack unfamiliar faces in your territory but then with the revelation of becca pramheda everything became contradicting

If the grounders already know they're skaikru then why they attacked even harder? Do they not know becca pramheda, the first person who founded the commander system is also skaikru? Then these initial conflicts lead to more conflict and everyone starts dying

If grounders didn't attack them at all and they didn't strike back, how would things turn out?

Why does everyone get on Bellamy’s case for the massacre in S3 when it’s not even close to the worst thing he did

Not gonna say I’m his side for gunning down all the grounders, but that at least had some articulable military goal even if I don’t agree with it.

Compare this to stealing Raven’s radio in S1. People will say “omg he condemned like 300 people to die in the culling” but he didn’t know the culling was about to happen. He was actually trying to kill EVERY SINGLE PERSON on the arc by making them think the ground wasn’t survivable, even though he was already told they were running out of air.

Thoughts?

Clarke’s evolution

What did you think about Clarke’s evolution troughtout the show? Especially the shift from s1-4 to s5-7?

I prefer clarke in the first few seasons due to how she’s dealing with the situations (grounders, mounth weather, ALLIE and Praimfaya.) and all the hard choices she’s forced to make to save her people,familly and friends etc…

But i also really love the later seasons and clarke’s relationship with Madi and how she redifined her character and her priority, and how Madi became her “people” I really like this take on Clarke’s character especially in s5 with how far she’s willing to go to protect Madi betraying her friends and making deal with McCreary to ensure her daughter survive.

Anyway, what’s your opinions on Clarke?

Would you live in the City of Light? Also, does it mean to not 'not die' in it

I'm curious to hear people's thoughts on this. For some I'm sure it would be an obvious choice, live in the real world. Others would challenge what is considered 'real'.

I'm wondering what peoples thoughts are on this and one thing I wanted to clarify was, what does it mean to not die in the City of Light? Do they have a 'copy' of a person in the city of light once they die in real life? Or is it actually them, their literal exact conscious transferred to the city?

I just finished S7 and the ending got me thinking…

Let me start by saying I’ve been wanting to watch this series for a long time, and it didn’t disappoint at all! I loved almost everything about it, even though it’s so different from the first book (the books are what brought me to the TV series).

Anyway, the ending got me thinking: how different is “transcending” from ALIE’s “City of Light”? It seems to me that a lot happened and many people died just for everyone to end up in the same place…
