Pike was the stupidest character

rewatching s3 and I could say a part of his motives was understandable, but his actions were absolutely vicious. He was a coward for attacking a group of Grounders who were sent to Arkadia to protect them and caught them by surprise, I'd say it's even considered a war crime.

Besides, he was just stupid for thinking Azgeda and the rest of the Coalition were all the same, when he knew Azgeda was betraying Lexa and all the other Clans, so of course they would attack the sky people. Pike got into a war he wasn't even sure he could win, the grounders were in a much bigger number than him and all he did was put his people in danger. If it wasn't for ALLIE and all the "City of Light" thing, he would've been the biggest villain in this season.

Plus, Bellamy was very dumb for going for his ideas, as someone who had more experience with grounders, he should've known better but rewatching everything now I can see he has always been a bit manipulative and sometimes didn't know where he stood. Hated him in s3

Trying to find this fanfic!

hi! so I read a few of these fanfics a while ago and haven’t been able to find them so I was hoping someone on here might remember the title or where they were

the first one was about how lexas viewed as almost like owned by her people and that her body is just a vessel. Clarke tries to be intimate with lexa and i think they go all the way. lexa is very checked out and her heart isn’t in it. Clarke later find out Lexa was just doing it because she thought it would make her happy and protect the peace in the alliance and in reality she was assaulting lexa in a way. Clarke finds out and feels awful. thats mainly what i can remember

the second story was about Lexa and how she’s neurodivergent I think she was autistic but I can’t find the story when I search for that particular tag. as commander she cannot be overwhelmed or stim and so she represses it and constantly masks. in grounder culture things like Autism or stuff like that isn’t recognized or something very known so lexa hides. its something she is ashamed about and hides well. I thinkkkk when she was younger titus or someone would chain her while she stimmed and caused her to think there was something broken with her. I could be mixing stuff up but it was sort of that idea

for the last one it was kind of a weird story but it was about Lexa and Abby. abby dislikes Lexa and is quite harsh despite recognizing how young she is. I don’t remember much but Abby assaults Lexa or abuses her medical power to make lexa vulnerable. Clarke find out and is furious. i honestly don’t remember much about this story but yeah

anyways if anyone remembers or has these stories that would be so wonderful. finding fics on ao3 can be so hard and I’ve looked a good amount. there’s a chance they could have been deleted but I don’t believe so. thanks for any help in advanced!

Who had the best/most dramatic character development?

I’m rewatching the 100 for the first time since it ended and I’m still in season 1. I’m admiring how innocent and cute Octavia was and how i forgot about that! Like if someone were to mention Octavia to me i only think of her hardened/badass version.

I remember she did horrible things later on but i’d say looking at how innocent she was, she had the most dramatic character development? What do y’all think?

SPOILER Would Mt Weathers Blood Healing Work IRL?

I’m not into biology or anatomy so I’m asking the people who are, would it actually work? It doesn’t feel like it would but yet again, science never fails to amaze me. I do know that most of the scientific stuff on t100 are incorrect but I’m very curious about this one. Same with bone marrow, would that work? I feel like theres more to it than just blood, even if the blood thing works, wouldn’t the other cells still suffer under radiation or is it completely tied to blood?

Lexa With Mt Weather Makes No Sense

Why the heck did Lexa betray Clarke and make a deal with Mt Weather? Isn’t their whole motto “blood must have blood” ? This never made sense to me, on top of that I don’t understand why Clarke fell in love with Lexa after that betrayal, they all forgave her so easily.

abby isnt that bad

i think there are way worse characters than abby but for some reason she gets all the hate. correct me if im wrong im on season 2 right now (im rewatching) but i dont think shes done anything horrible till now except snitching on her husband (which wasnt because she was trying to be a bad person she just was naive enough to think they would spare him). ive seen people hate on her for sending clarke to the ground but if they didnt do that shed be floated anyway. she was the reason skaikru found out that the ground was survivable, if it wasnt for her theyd still be rotting in space while the kids on the ground probably died. she saved numerous lives by just being a doctor. she announced that the ark was dying so that they wouldnt have to kill people without them knowing. she didnt take dianas bribe and decided to not betray her people and her ideology. ofc she wasnt the best mother or wife, yeah the drug situation sucked but she was pretty good in the early seasons, im not saying she was perfect (most characters suck) but shes way overhated.

Azgeda Markings?

Hey all so im currently in the middle of writing a fic and I'm about to have my OC give herself Azgeda facial markings but im having a lot of trouble coming up with an idea for the shape so I thought id ask yall for some input. Without going into too much detail about the backstory/arc, this is a pivotal moment for her where she officially "switches sides" from Skaikru to Azgeda. She's using a found object in the dungeon of Polis, its an emotional moment of betrayal. I don't like the idea of just straight lines because I feel like they would look like she just got scratched by a panther or something😅 I like how Ontaris scars are asymmetrical and have like a flow to them, so im thinking something along those lines, but also something not too precise since shes not actually using a real blade. Help a writer out!

Rewriting the show

Basically what the title says!! I really want to rewrite the show/do my own version of it, but I don’t know how many people would be receptive to it/even read it.

My biggest problems with it are how they use South Asian concepts of spirituality/reincarnation without actually having South Asian actors spotlighted (it’s pretty much only Sachin Sahel and Dichen Lachman). I’m South Asian so that aspect really bothered me! There’s South Asian characters in the books, so I want to incorporate them too.

I think the show falls into a trap of focusing on fantasy forms of oppression (ie. the entire Nightblood system & placing emphasis on how only they are able to be commanders— even if it IS because of the flame) and also just… confuses me? I guess it makes sense that “traditional” human life/life before Praimfaya is forgotten, but at the same time, it feels completely different!! The Grounders are largely descended from defectors who realized they didn’t want to be in a cult. It’s always confused me how they didn’t pass down knowledge of life before Praimfaya at all (or at least not MUCH of it).

If I keep going, I’ll start rambling, so, TLDR: I’m thinking of rewriting the show and incorporating elements of the book into it, but want to hear people’s thoughts on that.

The episode about Finn would’ve been the easiest decision I ever made

Lexa confronts Clarke about killing more than 300 of her people but she never orders to kill her. Why? Because they know war must have blood and death. Finn massacred 18 innocent people, burned their food. I would’ve easily given him up to the grounders in exchange for peace. Saving everyone vs saving 1, of course saving everyone would come first.

The downfall of the 100 was making season 3 too packed. It should have been spread out and ended with season 5.

I truly believe ending with season 5 and growing that patch of earth that Clarke and Maddie lived on should have been the ending where they all came together or something. I think season 3 and 4 is where the plot started to get lost because it was so full and don’t get me wrong it was great but they did everything they could have on earth. If they wanted to do 7 seasons that should have spread it out more and gone into depth on the ground capitol and city. Explored Luna storyline, The bloodreina and time in the bunker a bit more and etc.

Fanfic recs please

Hi, As a new the100 fan who just finished bingeing the series I would love to fill the void that it left with fics.

I would love fics that are set in the canon universe between the time period of s2 and s5. No alternate universe. If it's set in arcadia - great.

I see a lot of Finn hate.. and I disagree with it

Finn is a good guy. He has a good heart, he’s fun, funny, he’s loving and so thoughtful with the girls he’s with (I mean - he went out of his way to make sure his girlfriend could take a spacewalk because she got rejected on the test - and then took the fall when it turned badly - what a sweetheart!!!!).

After the village slaughter, he had the chance to murder another grounder and he didn’t - he let him run away.
I really do not see any “bad” or “crazy” in Finn. He went through a scenario most of us could never fathom - losing the person you love and truly not knowing if they are alive or dead, hoping they are alive and searching for any proof of it. From a third-party perspective, he found the people who had Clarke’s dad’s watch and their peoples’ clothes. I would not be so forgiving in that moment either. The proof he was looking for was all there.

I wanted Clarke and Finn to end up together. RIP Finn.

My though about Mount Weather

First of all, it’s incredibly well written, and as a frenchman i see parallels with french resistance through the last episodes of S2. It’s also very realistic as they are all descendent of the USA, and more importantly, of the US state, which are, and always have been, genocidal supremacists.
The fact that they NEVER tried diplomacy, not with the grounder and not with the skykru is logical given who they are and also their biggest error.
They needed grounder’s blood, as there were frequent leaks of radiation. When the skykru came and they imprisoned them, Cage I wanted to incorporate them into the bloodline to slowly create resistance.
But they did not try that with grounders. I think that’s a big mistake on their part. I don’t think once they discovered grounders they immediately thought of them as savages : they know that they come from the same place, and that they all have been trying to survive since the bombs. Also, i think a lot of their traditions were not as extreme or as installed, as they had few time to develop this culture, which would have then been midway from modern america and what we see in the show. I think they just didn’t get along then, and trying to incorporate grounders would’ve been too difficult for them to do, hence their choice to use their blood. This choice had one great advantage : it’s easy and makes them survive. But it would never allow them to go to the ground for another centuries, as the blood is only a temporary cure. They could not have relied on donation either. But Mount Weather should have abducted women grounder to use as reproductive machines, linking their bloods and effectively create a resistance to radiation. This would be greatly unethical also, but would not deteriorate their relations with the grounders as much as the reapers and blood system did. Eventually, the question of the territory would have appeared, but i think with a little war and their great technology they would have come to an agreement and live side by side. Having made this choice of a perpetual genocidal war was an enormous mistake, and if the skykru came down elsewhere on earth, they would have not survived, as the centuries they needed to adapt combined with the enormous rates of radiation added by primfaya would have never allowed them to go outside, the bunker dying faster than the radiation (like the Ark).
They had a great opportunity when the 100 and then the Ark came down. Culturally and technologically, they were very close and could have formed an alliance against the grounders. Mount Weather could offer shelter, protection, and knowledge of the terrain to the Ark i. exchange for voluntary and controlled bone marrow gifts. They also could threaten them with their missile. I think the skykru would have been very willing to make this deal and both could have developed on a controlled territory they could have imposed control over after a war with the grounders (which i don’t think would be necessarily unethical). They could have formed one people and develop in peace.

Kind of a crazy question (meant to be light-hearted pls)

Hello all, I haven't watched this show BUT unfortunately I know all about how much the finale was hated, especially for fans who really liked the main couple. I'm in a completely different fandom (which I will leave unnamed) and I just want to know how did y'all manage to cope with the anger and betrayal you felt. Like genuinely, what do you think is a healthy way to process this stuff when it comes to fandom. Sometimes characters and stories mean so much to me and I have no idea what to do with the intense negative emotions.
