Teenagers are not thoughtless retards; when they do "rebel" it is largely due to perceived infringements upon their autonomy.

Elon & co are running twitter into the ground, turning it into a third world slop farm.
I never see mutuals' posts, the For You tab bombards me with autoplaying brainrot videos, third world engagement farmers freely bot their posts to game monetization, right-wingers get banned for things that were permitted when the DNC controlled Twitter (I saw somebody get banned for calling somebody else "a fat retard"), basically everyone on RW Twitter is shadowbanned, they removed email-only signup, prohibited people from viewing posts/accounts without being logged in, force people to download the app, and the recent biometric digital ID stuff is the icing on the cake.
The only good change they've made that comes to mind was fixing the media tab so images display as a grid, which they seemed to have removed from the app and replaced with a "videos" tab after the new UI update, the layout of which is absolutely retarded — it doesn't even follow basic design principles.
Twitter had a niche in which it was completely dominant and irreplaceable. It didn't need to become a right-wing echo chamber, it didn't need to be a vehicle for Elon's personal political ideology, it didn't need to become an "everything app," and it certainly didn't need to become a more retarded and brown version of Youtube Shorts, it needed to be Twitter but with free speech, which we don't even have ("Freedom of speech doesn't mean freedom of reach!" - Elon Musk).
Edit: I can't imagine how many intelligent and insightful posters* have been chased off by the changes; the site is insufferable now.

Prime example of what I was describing in this post: Concept creep warping the definition of "pedophilia" and thus trivializing actual pedophilia (the sexual attraction to and/or abuse of prepubescents, the latter causing immense and long-lasting harm).
I have seen people accused of "pedophilia" for: liking short women, liking women with small breasts, liking women with pink feet, playing a videogame that has attractive adult female characters, a two year age gap between adults in their early 20s, etc.
We are at the point where the colloquial definition of "pedophilia" is so far removed from the official definition that it would be more sensible to use a completely different term entirely - perhaps "child sexual abuse" or "child sexual attraction"? Although, I would rather not use the latter term as it is reminiscent of the whitewashed "minor attracted person."
