He is in fact Jacob Leon Rubenstein. The stated reason for the name change was that the name "Rubenstein" was too long and that he was "well known" as Jack Ruby.

Someone asked earlier whether we think people have been into 'space'. Our assessments would indicate the answer is no. Scenes like this are easy to create by flying a plane up to a high altitude then allowing it to freefall. It simulates weightlessness or simply this is just theatre. People have likely been at exceptionally high altitudes which is where satellites are etc. Of course we may be wrong.
