From Stuttgart in Germany to Verrua Savoia (Italy), from Athens in Greece to Spain till Zurich in Switzerland and East Germany;
Solidarity knows no borders.
Today demonstrations to ensure the existence of YPJ were taking place in Rojava.
The people of Rojava itself have recognized the YPJ as their protective force. And that is what gives YPJ strength.

🔴 The continued existence of the YPJ is at stake; if it is not integrated, it cannot exist.
🔴 Only the organized participation of women in the army can break its patriarchal and Islamist mentality.
🔴 The government's patriarchal and Islamist mentality is already evident: violence against women is increasing in Syria, especially against Druze, Alawite, and Kurdish women.
🔴 If the YPJ is not accepted, the achievements of the women's movement as a whole will not be accepted.
🔴 The YPJ is currently defending a model for the future of Syria in which women and various religious and ethnic groups have rights, can express themselves freely, and participate in shaping the future.

We join the struggle of the women of Rojava, we reaffirm that it is our natural right to fight in defense of life, in defense of our bodies, and in defense of our territories. The struggle of the women of Rojava is also the struggle of the women of Abya Yala; it is also the struggle of all women who are in their territories, in the peripheries, fighting for the right to life for themselves, their children, and future generations. Therefore, we reaffirm that it is a natural right for women to fight for their territories and for their bodies. We are all in solidarity with the women of Rojava!

We, socialist feminists in Australia, stand in solidarity with the freedom fighters of the Women's Protection Units (YPJ) who continue to defend the rights, dignity and freedom of women of all nationalities, ethnicities and religions that they fought for and won in the Rojava Revolution. Women’s participation in all fields, including participating in organised community defence and protection, is a right that must be defended. Recognising the YPJ and respecting its right to continue to exist in a new Syria is essential if Syria is to have a democratic, united and peaceful future.

Our language reflects our existence
15 May is the day of the Kurdish language. A language that was recognized in the Self-Administration of North and East Syria for years and for whose recognition the Kurdish people are now struggling again today.
The YPJ flag flies high over the Beagle Channel in Chile, showing that women's strength and solidarity knows no borders.
