Election binary event. Markets never like uncertainty. Current government win already priced in with full majority and market already touched high of 22779. Now till 22700 is not achieved on closing basis, it's prudent to be in cash and sit on sidelines. Better to enter after elections. Also geopolitical situation is volatile and inflation is sticky in US which is suggesting Fed will not cut rates easily.

In 2019 after current government win market corrected from 12000 to 10750 levels, correction of almost 10% which happened from June to Aug 2019.

In current scenario also market expects the govt to be re-elected. Now the question is will the market rally after win ? My view is NO. Because a WIN is already in the price.

And second question is what if between today and June 4th, situation changes and global conditions go bad due to war and sticky inflation and what if number of seats that market is expecting the current govt to win comes down ?

So these are real question which investors need to assess and therefore it is prudent to book profits in cash holdings as market will give ample opportunity to invest after elections
