House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan (R-OH) elevated his fight against a shadowy corporate syndicate he alleges is colluding to “boycott, demonetize, and censor disfavored viewpoints,” including Breitbart News.

His committee has invited executives from GroupM and Unilever to publicly testify regarding their companies’ potential collusion in violation of antitrust law to silence conservative voices.

In letters obtained by Breitbart News, Jordan says his committee has obtained documents showing both companies, as members of the Global Alliance for Responsible Media’s (GARM) Steer Team, are “closely involved in GARM’s efforts to boycott, demonetize, and censor disfavored viewpoints.”

The presidential campaign of independent candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. is reportedy facing increasing financial struggles as the expensive legal effort to gain ballot access continues to drain cash and force additional layoffs.

Five staffers who were laid off told the New York Times that they were informed the decision was due to financial struggles.

Campaign staffers still on the payroll in Kennedy's long-shot bid to become president told the news outlet the same, according to the report.

Kennedy's running mate, Nicole Shanahan, gave the campaign $2.5 last month alone.

Alvin Bragg to submit sentencing recommendation to judge in Trump hush money case

Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg is expected to make his sentencing recommendation in former President Donald Trump’s hush money case.

The sentencing recommendation, expected to be submitted to Judge Juan Merchan on Monday, may remain under wraps until Trump’s sentencing on July 11, the New York Times reported. The former president was found guilty on all 34 felony counts, which could land him a maximum of four years in prison.

Bragg is likely to argue that Trump’s behavior during the trial should warrant time in prison. He repeatedly broke his gag order to denounce the perceived political nature of the trial, attacking jurors, prosecutors, and witnesses on 10 separate occasions.

CMPD K-9 Officer Brent Simpson passed away today from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

Officer Simpson was a graduate of the 148th Recruit Class and served with CMPD since 2006. Most recently, Officer Simpson was assigned to the K-9 unit and faithfully served alongside his K-9 partner, Levi, for six years. Prior to joining CMPD, Officer Simpson served in the U.S. Navy as an Operation Specialist with the Military Police for four years.

His life and service will never be forgotten. Please say a prayer for Officer Simpson's loved ones and fellow officers during this difficult time.

Supreme Court orders another review of gun charge behind Hunter Biden's conviction

Hunter Biden's lawyer has vowed to appeal his conviction on gun charges, but the Supreme Court on Tuesday told another defendant challenging the same law as unconstitutional to have his case reviewed again by an appeals court.

Patrick Darnell Daniels Jr.’s case is part of a flood of Second Amendment challenges following a landmark Supreme Court decision in 2022. Daniels has challenged a federal law that bans gun possession for anyone who “is an unlawful user of or addicted to any controlled substance.”

The 5th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals overturned his conviction and the Justice Department asked the Supreme Court to resolve the dispute. The justices told him to return to that court for a fresh decision based on a recent high court ruling that upheld disarming domestic abusers.

Florida prosecutors heard graphic testimony about how the late millionaire and financier Jeffrey Epstein sexually assaulted teenage girls two years before they cut a plea deal, according to transcripts released Monday of the 2006 grand jury investigation.

The transcripts were at the center of a court battle for about a decade after media investigations into Epstein’s ties to the rich and the powerful seems to have allowed him to continue to rape and sex traffic teenagers without ever being sent to prison or serving a serious jail term.

The judge’s release of the approximately 150 pages came as a surprise as he had scheduled a hearing for next week on when and how to release them. Gov. Ron DeSantis had signed a bill in February allowing the release on Monday or any time thereafter that Circuit Judge Luis Delgado ordered.

Republican on powerful House committee says GOP has the votes to hold Garland in inherent contempt

South Carolina GOP Rep. Ralph Norman, who sits on the powerful House Rules Committee, said on Monday that he believes his party has enough votes to charge Attorney General Merrick Garland with inherent contempt of Congress.

Florida GOP Rep. Anna Paulina Luna introduced inherent contempt articles against Garland last week, after the Justice Department announced it would not take action against the attorney general. 

The contempt charges stem from Garland's refusal to comply with a Congressional subpoena to hand over audio recordings of President Joe Biden's interview with special counsel Robert Hur.

A Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department officer died by suicide Monday afternoon, the department said.

Around 12:30 p.m., CMPD said they were investigating an officer-involved shooting on Steele Creek Road. The area is near the Charlotte Douglas International Airport.

About an hour later, around 1:45 p.m., police said one of their officers had shot himself and was taken to the hospital, where he died.

BREAKING🚨: A Palm Beach County judge has released the grand jury records in the 2008 Jeffrey Epstein criminal case.

The records contain nearly 200 pages, including the testimony of at least one girl who was molested by Epstein, a New York financier who abused hundreds of underage girls at his Palm Beach mansion for decades. Epstein managed to evade serious charges, in part because the Palm Beach prosecutor at the time, Barry Krischer, elected to charge him with minor prostitution charges rather than bringing a felony sexual assault case.

The records have remained under seal for 16 years. Earlier this year, Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis signed an order to release the files by July 1.

Epstein’s case came under new scrutiny in 2018 — 10 years later — following a series of articles by the Miami Herald that outlined the secret negotiations that led to a light jail sentence for Epstein. Epstein would serve just 13 months in the Palm Beach County jail, where he was given liberal privileges to work in his outside office and at his mansion.
