How many times have we said 'thank you' to our parents?

Allah, سبحانه وتعالى, says in the Quran:

(وَوَصَّيْنَا ٱلْإِنسَـٰنَ بِوَٰلِدَيْهِ)

“And We have enjoined on man (to be dutiful and good) to his parents…” [31:14].

This command is so pivotal that scholars like Al-Qurtubi said, "After the Creator, those most deserving of our respect and kindness are our parents."

Let’s remember to show our gratitude and love to them every day.

When you pray, face the Kaaba in Mecca:

فَوَلِّ وَجْهَكَ شَطْرَ الْمَسْجِدِ الْحَرَامِ

"So turn your face toward al-Masjid al-Haram."

Facing the Qiblah unites us as one Ummah in our worship.

What happens when our faith feels overshadowed by the trials of life?

The Prophet ﷺ painted a vivid image: “There is no heart that does not have clouds like the clouds that cover the moon.

When the cloud covers it, it is dark, and when the cloud moves away it shines.” (Classed as sahih by Al-Albani)

Like the moon obscured by clouds, our hearts sometimes get clouded by doubts or sins. But with effort and Allah's guidance, these clouds can be cleared.

Scholar Sufyaan al-Thawri, may Allah have mercy on him, aptly stated that iman is beyond mere words. It's what firmly resides in the heart and is reflected in our actions.

Let’s strive to clear the clouds and let our faith shine brightly.

In the morning, the Prophet ﷺ would say:

اللَّهُمَّ بِكَ أَصْبَحْنَا , وَبِكَ أَمْسَيْنَا , وَبِكَ نَحْيَا , وَبِكَ نَمُوتُ , وَإِلَيْكَ النُّشُورُ.

In the evening, he would say:

اللَّهُمَّ بِكَ أَمْسَيْنَا , وَبِكَ أَصْبَحْنَا , وَبِكَ نَحْيَا , وَبِكَ نَمُوتُ , وَإِلَيْكَ الْمَصِيرُ.

Let’s make these duas a part of our daily routine.

Allah becomes your best friend.

No more loneliness.
No more confusion.
No more worry.

When we have confidence in Allah’s Plan for us,
full Iman—
And that makes us WANT to worship Allah even more.
We yearn for our next prayer - after all, who doesn’t look forward to connecting with their best friend?

If the Quran is a guide for both our Hereafter AND our worldly matters, then why is it that WE are not always seeing these effects?

Why, despite our sincere efforts, do the promised solutions sometimes feel just beyond our reach?

Afterall, we are Muslims.
We believe.

The answer is strikingly obvious - once we see it.

I want you to reflect on this poignant ayah from the Quran:

وَمَنْ أَعْرَضَ عَن ذِكْرِى فَإِنَّ لَهُۥ مَعِيشَةًۭ ضَنكًۭا
"And whoever turns away from My remembrance will certainly have a miserable life." (Quran 20:124)

Allah o Akbar!

Feeling the weight of numbness settle upon you, even as the sun rises, is a heavy burden. Each interaction, once vibrant, now feels muted, lost in a fog of detachment.

When you bow your head in prayer, where tears should flow from a place of strong connection with Allah, they come from a well of frustration and loneliness instead.

Or even worse, you feel absolutely nothing. A dead heart. And you can't help but wonder, "Why not me? Why can't I find that peace?"

Ultimately, it’s a difficult balance between deen and dunya - goals for this world and goals for the next.

So what’s the solution?

Sometimes, it feels like there’s no light at the end of the tunnel, despite trying everything. Nothing seems to move the needle, and support is lacking. But there's a solution, sent down from above the heavens by your Creator. In Surah Al-Baqarah, Allah tells us the Quran is the guide and solution to all our problems.

He says:

"This is the Book in which there is no doubt; a guide for those mindful of Allah"
[Quran 2:2]

How are you doing after Eid?

Ramadan left us just as quickly as it came...

The buzz and aspirational lift that comes with Ramadan can lead us to having a "post-Eid depression".

Returning to the mundane routine of work and studies might take us away from the acts of worship we maintained during Ramadan, creating a challenge to sustain our Iman.

How can we then expect our state of mind to remain unchanged?

And more importantly, are there steps we can take to avoid falling back into old routines?

In future messages, we will talk about that in a bit more detail

Quick question, is there anything you are specifically struggling with after Ramadan?

Let me know in the comments!

The Prophet pbuh said: "whoever fasts Ramadan and follows it up with 6 days of fasting in shawwal, it will be as if he fasted the whole year."
[Muslim]

All the rewards, blessings, and accepted du'as that come with fasting can be extended beyond Ramadan if we follow this teaching of fasting 6 extra days in Shawwal, the month immediately after Ramadan.

The Prophet ﷺ said, 'Iman wears out in one's heart just as clothes do, so ask Allah to renew the faith in your hearts.' [This hadith is considered authentic by Al-Albani]

It is understood that Iman is not static; it rises and falls. Much like how we nurture our bodies with good food and exercise, both mental and physical, our Iman, too, requires consistent nourishment.

This serves as a reminder of the importance of constantly reviving our faith. It also tells us a very important way of achieving that: by making du'a to Allah—to keep our Iman strong and renewed.

Have you ever wondered how to deepen your connection with Allah?

Revive your iman: The best way to receive guidance from Allah is by engaging in worship and righteous deeds to rekindle the faith in your heart. Allah says:

Indeed, those who believe and do good will be guided by Allah through their faith. [Yunus:9]

To receive Allah's guidance, start by acting upon what you already know:
🕌 If you're not praying, start.
🛑 If you're backbiting, stop.
💰 Give a little bit of your wealth to charity.
🤝 Help others in your community.

The more good deeds you do, the more Allah will guide you to even better ones. Let’s strive to amplify our devotion and grow closer to Allah.

Practical Steps to Combat Envy

Recognize and Admit: It's human to feel envy, but the problem begins when it turns destructive.

Transform Envy into Motivation: Use others’ success as inspiration for your own achievements.

Make Dua for Those You Envy: Praying for their well-being purifies your heart.

Practice Gratitude: Focus on the abundance that’s already yours.

By addressing Hasad directly, we can cultivate genuine peace and contentment in our hearts.

Have you ever wanted to pray the night prayer (tahajjud) but struggle to do it?

Well here’s a simple hack to make it easy for you AND consistent.

The time for tahajjud starts once you have prayed Isha and ends at the start time of Fajr.

So what’s the hack?

Once you have prayed Isha, pray your two sunnah for Isha and then pray two rakahs of tahajjud followed by witr.

Do this every day. It’s only two extra rakahs.Easy. Only takes 2-5 minutes long.

This way you can actually be regular in tahajjud if you do this each night and eventually it’ll become a habit.

Of course, the best time for tahajjud is the last third of the night.

However, praying the night prayer after Isha is perfectly fine too.

Once you have done this regularly for a while and have made it part of your routine, you can add another two rakahs to your tahajjud. And so on.

Then eventually - once you see the benefits of praying the night prayer each night (no matter how little) - you will naturally start to love itand it’ll become easier to start doing it in the last third of the night In sha’ Allah.

So there you have it! An easy hack to start praying tahajjud each night.

Very soon, the Islamia team at Radiant Drops will be launching a system.

A system for seeking knowledge from the very place you're reading this email (or any place in the world)!

But not just that, a system which will give you access to others just like you, who have either gone through similar trials and hardships that you are going through now.

Or who are also currently going through the same trials.

Others just like you, who also want to build a strong and powerful relationship with Allah, motivating each other, inspiring each other, holding each other to account, keeping each other consistent.

No matter where you are in the world, no matter what level you are, no matter how bad you think you are, no matter how pious you think you are.

Insha’Allah we are creating a movement.

A movement of people that have had enough of going through life blindfolded.

Like driving a car in a busy city with something covering your eyes.
Constantly crashing.
Inconsistent.

The time to change is now.

Not a single one of us has a contract with Allah that says He will guarantee that we will live another day, another week, another month, another year, another decade.

We must make a change. We can make that change.

And insha’Allah, we will make a change.

Together.

Are you as excited as I am?

Most of us heard this ayah on the first night of Ramadan.

He says:

"This is the Book in which there is no doubt; a guide for those mindful of Allah"
[Quran 2:2]

As Muslims, of course we believe in the profound power of thesewords: that the Quran is a GUIDE for all of us.

It gives us the answers to both our spiritual problems as well as
our worldly struggles.

Allah literally sent us this Book to solve OUR problems.

He sent with it the best man ﷺ to ever be born as an example to show us a practical way of dealing with our battles.

It is not just a religious guide for our Hereafter. It is also a guide and manual on how to get the best out of this life. Our spirituality, our health, our wealth, our relationships, our loneliness, our trials. In short it’s a comprehensive solution to ALL our problems.
