✍️So there are 4 things you need to know about IC:
1. Think about bad things that might happen in the company.
2. To ensure that bad things do not happen - Control Objectives
3. Anything we do to achieve the Control Objectives - Control Procedures(Direct Controls)
4. Anything we do to witness Control Procedures are working - Tests of Control.
Test of Control is done by Auditors.
FOR EXAMPLE:👀
1. Company purchased materials at significantly higher prices than average market price - Bad thing, because it reduces profit
2. To ensure that company buys materials at reasonable market price - Control Objective
3. Always check the average market price before placing an order or agreeing the contract. Because after placing the order, or signing the contract the terms are hard to change - Control Procedure
4. Enquire Sales director whether they check market prices before placing order, Inspect the files that compared market price and materials' price to see if the difference is reasonable or make sure the document is signed by responsible body - Test of Controls
