What is CIMA?
The Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA), founded in 1919, is the world’s leading and largest professional body of management accountants with more than 250,000 members working in around 180 countries. CIMA offers training and qualification in Management Accountancy and Finance related subjects.
CIMA-qualified professionals work in the field of Corporate Finance, Risk Management, Financial Reporting, Project Finance, Treasury Management in various capacities like Financial Controller, Management Accountant, Cost Accountant, Business Analyst etc.
The CIMA qualification is open to individuals at any level, whether they are newcomers to the fields of finance and business or seasoned professionals
When are CIMA exams conducted?
CIMA exams are typically held four times a year, allowing candidates some flexibility in scheduling their exam sittings.
What are the entry requirements for CIMA?
CIMA does not have strict academic entry requirements. Individuals with various educational backgrounds can pursue CIMA qualifications.
How many exams are in CIMA qualification?
CIMA (Chartered Institute of Management Accountants) professional qualification consists of 12 examinations, grouped into three levels: Operational, Management, and Strategic. It has 9 Objective Tests & 3 Case Study exams.
The Objective Tests are available on-demand for which time allotted is 90 minutes each, while the Case Study exams are allotted three hours.

How much time does it take to qualify ACCA?
The time to complete ACCA varies depending on individual circumstances but the average time to become ACCA qualified is 3 to 4 years."

From the June 2024 exam session, you can choose which date you would like to attempt your Diploma in International Financial Reporting exam. The exam will be held on both 6 June 2024* and 7 June 2024. Please select the date you prefer when making your entry.

In order to sit exams at a specific session, you will need to register for the DipIFR qualification online and upload all supporting documentation by the following registration closing date:
8 April 2024 (for the June 2024 exam session)
7 October 2024 (for the December 2024 exam session)
Once registered you have until 29 April 2024 (June exam session) and 28 October 2024 (December exam session) to access the exam planner via your myACCA account and enter for the exam.
When you log in to your myACCA and choose ‘exam entry’, you will then select the country you want to sit your exam in. This will provide you with a list of available exam centres within that country, for that particular exam session
