Sony's Test Launch of Soneium Blockchain with A Star's zkEVM Integration
Sony Block Solutions Labs are primed to take the first step towards banking on blockchain with the launch of a test network for their Soneium system. This is the brainchild of a collaboration between Sony Group Corporation and Startale Labs, a project born in 2023 and subsequently passed into the jurisdiction of Sony Network Communications Labs. A welcome boost to this new chain's initial liquidity is expected with Astar Network's integration of its zkEVM assets and underlying architectural support. In the behind-the-scenes teaser, Sony hinted at the soon-to-come testnet launch. A bouquet of big names, SonyMusic, SONY Pictures, and the Sony Innovation Fund included, are on the roster for a slice of Soneium Spark's incubation initiative.
