If Politics they taking advantage of people who don't understand the negative impacts (of raising corporation tax) in the end hurt themselves. Increase in corporation taxes means making it more difficult for small businesses. The negative impacts are:
- Less start up businesses
- More pressure on current small businesses
- More monopoly for big businesses
- Higher prices of essential living expenses passed down to everyday Australians

Unlawful Crypto ATM Operator in UK Charged for Money Laundering
A London resident, the first-ever person in the UK to face crypto ATM charges, is under the spotlight for running a prohibited machine and reportedly laundering approximately £300,000. The 37-year-old accused, who also owns a phone store in Chatham, Kent, was found with several seized crypto ATMs. Allegedly, the gentleman used these machines to transform hefty amounts of money into cryptocurrency.
This case comes after the Financial Conduct Authority, UK's financial watchdog, issued a crypto ATM ban in 2022 as a measure to curb such illicit activities. The authorities made it mandatory for all crypto machine proprietors to register with the FCA. Any unregistered ATMs were under an official crackdown. As reported by Blockworks, basing their facts on CoinATM radar data, less than 10 crypto ATMs were operational in the country by July 2023.
Matthew Long, the FCA's Director of Payments and Digital Assets, addressed this issue stating that none of the current Crypto ATMs are registered with the FCA. In effect, anyone using such machines might find themselves in the awkward situation of having done business with criminals.
