🇧🇦📆 | Today Marks The 30th Anniversary Of The Genocide In Srebrenica
More than 8,000 Bosniak Muslim boys and men were executed by Bosnian Serb forces in July 1995, towards the end of the Bosnian War, in what is the only recognised genocide in Europe and the worst one since the Holocaust.
Thousands gathered in the eastern Bosnian town of Srebrenica to mark the 30th anniversary.
In July 1995, more than 8,000 Bosniak boys and men were rounded up and summarily executed by Bosnian Serb forces over the course of several days after the fall of Srebrenica, which was deemed a UN safe area and meant to be under the protection of UNPROFOR international peacekeepers.
Seven newly identified victims, including two 19-year-olds, will be laid to rest in a collective funeral on Friday at the large memorial cemetery in Potočari near Srebrenica, next to more than 6,000 victims already buried there.

Israel’s military says it has reviewed incidents of civilian harm at Gaza aid distribution points after the UN reported nearly 800 deaths since late May.
In a statement the army said it conducted examinations and issued new field instructions based on lessons learned. The incidents remain under review.
UN spokeswoman Ravina Shamdasani said 798 people were killed between May 27 and July 7 including 615 near sites run by the US and Israel backed Gaza Humanitarian Foundation.

Following through on its previous decision to disband and disarm, the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) initiated its first-ever symbolic disarmament event in northern Iraq's Kurdistan region; around 30 PKK fighters symbolically laid down and destroyed their weapons in a cave in the mountains near the city of Sulaymaniyah in the presence of local security forces.
The PKK had announced its decision to dissolve and end its armed struggle against Turkiye back in May.

🇮🇱🇪🇺 | EU And Israel Reach Deal To Boost Gaza Aid Amid Accountability Calls
The European Union announced a deal with Israel to expand humanitarian aid access to Gaza as internal pressure mounts to hold Israel accountable for alleged war crimes.
EU foreign policy chief Kaja Kallas said the agreement includes more trucks carrying food and supplies reopening of aid corridors through Jordan and Egypt and new crossings in northern and southern Gaza. Fuel deliveries and food distribution by bakeries and public kitchens will also resume.
Kallas said aid must reach civilians directly and pledged safeguards to prevent diversion to Hamas. The deal follows her talks with Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Saar.

Prime Minister Netanyahu told hostage families in Washington that Hamas will choose which captives are freed during the proposed 60 day truce. He said all hostages are considered humanitarian cases but sources claim Israel may influence the order based on intelligence.

With 175 votes in favour, 360 against, and 18 abstentions, the European Parliament rejected a motion of censure against the Commission on Thursday.

🇵🇰⚡ | 9 Civilians Shot Dead In Balochistan Bus Massacre By Baloch Separatists
In Pakistan, at least nine passengers travelling on two Punjab-bound buses on the N-70 highway were abducted and killed by unidentified gunmen on the border between Balochistan province's Zhob and Loralai districts on Thursday night. The attackers specifically identified and selected Punjabi passengers using their ID cards, took them outside of the bus, and executed them. Their bodies were found and recovered from nearby mountains with bullet wounds.
The Balochistan Liberation Front (BLF) claimed responsibility for the massacre, which occurred just hours after the BLF announced the start of "Operation Baam" against Pakistan. Baloch ethnonationalists often single out ethnic Punjabis in their attacks.
Pakistani authorities said they had initiated a search operation to hunt down the attackers and vowed revenge.
