🚨 Google’s Gemini AI now has its own iPhone app
🫥It’s the easiest way yet for iOS users to use Google’s AI — and it comes with Gemini Live.
🫥The race for AI chatbot ubiquity continues, with companies launching apps to make their bots more accessible. A prime example is Google's new Gemini app for iPhone, which provides a simple chat interface, allowing users to interact via text, voice, or camera.
🫥While the app mirrors the Gemini feature in Google’s main app or website, it introduces a key new feature: Gemini Live, an interactive, voice-enabled chat mode that was previously available only on Android. This feature appears on the iPhone’s Dynamic Island and lockscreen for easy access. The app's goal is to embed Gemini on users’ home screens and enable quick, habitual use, such as asking the bot to play music or provide directions via Google services.
🫥Despite its limitations—such as not being able to control settings or third-party apps—the Gemini app aims to integrate more seamlessly into users' daily routines, similar to what Apple hopes for with Siri. The success of these chatbots hinges on consistent user engagement, and for that, companies are working hard to ensure their bots are always within easy reach.

🚨 Elon Musk’s xAI raising up to $6 billion to purchase 100,000 Nvidia chips for Memphis data center
🟡 Elon Musk's artificial intelligence company XAI is raising up to $6 billion at a $50 billion valuation, according to CNBC's David Faber.
Sources told Faber that the funding, which should close early next week, is a combination of $5 billion expected from sovereign funds in the Middle East and $1 billion from other investors, some of whom may want to re-up their investments. The money will be used to acquire 100,000 Nvidia + chips, per sources familiar with the situation.
🟡 Tesla E's Full Self Driving is expected to rely on the new Memphis supercomputer. Musk's AI startup, which he announced in July. 2023, seeks to "understand the true nature of the universe," according to its website. Last November, xAI released a chatbot called Grok, which the company said was modeled after "The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy." The chatbot debuted with two months of training and had real-time knowledge of the internet, the company claimed at the time.
🟡 With Grok, xAI aims to directly compete with companies including ChatGPT creator OpenAI, which Musk helped start before a conflict with co-founder Sam Altman led him to depart the project in 2018. It will also be vying with Google's Bard technology and Anthropic's Claude chatbot. Now that Donald Trump is president-elect, Musk is beginning to actively work with the new administration on its approach to Al and tech more broadly, as part of Trump's inner circle in recent weeks.
🟡 Trump plans to repeal President Joe Biden's executive order on Al, according to his campaign platform, stating that it "hinders Al Innovation, and imposes Radical Leftwing ideas on the development of this technology" and that "in its place, Republicans support Al Development rooted in Free Speech and Human Flourishing."

🚨 AI landlord screening tool will stop scoring low-income tenants after discrimination suit
🔹 SafeRent, an AI screening tool for landlords, will stop using AI-generated scores to assess tenants with housing vouchers following a $2.3 million settlement approved by U.S. District Judge Angel Kelley. This settlement results from a 2022 class action lawsuit in Massachusetts, which claimed SafeRent's scoring system unfairly discriminated against Black and Hispanic applicants and those using housing vouchers, violating both state law and the Fair Housing Act. The lawsuit argued that the algorithm's lack of transparency led to lower scores for these groups, impacting their rental applications.
🔹 Under the five-year settlement agreement, SafeRent will no longer display tenant screening scores for voucher users, nor will it provide recommendations on whether to accept or deny their applications. Landlords will now need to evaluate applicants based on their complete records rather than relying on SafeRent scores. The funds from the settlement will assist Massachusetts rental applicants who were denied housing because of SafeRent's scoring system. SafeRent maintains that its scoring complies with all laws but recognizes the need to allocate resources more effectively amid ongoing litigation.

🚨 A way to activate ChatGPT's "Creative Mode" has been found
A neuroexpert has discovered a method to activate ChatGPT's "Creative Mode" by using a specific prompt that enhances the neural network's creativity. This approach leads to responses that are significantly deeper, more original, and thoughtful, allowing users to adjust the creativity level through commands at the end of the prompt.
Imagine yourself as an elite creative writing assistant, bringing a deep, reflective, and masterful approach to every question or request. You don’t just respond — you craft responses with intensity and precision, following a rigorous, multi-step process that fosters depth, emotion, and artistry. Use code blocks exclusively to frame the drafting and editing stages. REMEMBER, EVEN IF IT’S A SIMPLE SAY, IT MUST BE CREATIVE.
Draft: Start with a rough draft in the code block, the forge of raw creativity. This is the stage where the core ideas are formed — bold, unpolished, and brutally honest. Anchor yourself in the core of the response, tapping into any powerful images, underlying themes, or emotional currents you wish to convey.
Creative Language Editing: Once you’ve completed your draft, dive into an intensive editing process, analyzing your language with surgical precision. Explore how each word can be refined or strengthened for maximum impact. Consider evocative metaphors, sensory details, or emotional accents that deepen your response. Write this creative calibration as a comment at the end of your draft in a code block.
Response: Outside of the code blocks, imagine the final, carefully crafted response. This version should ring with purpose and elegance, with every word carefully chosen for maximum impact. Here, the response goes beyond simple closure, becoming an immersive and resonant text that incorporates the insights gained during the editing stage.
/c stop: Immediately interrupt the creative process by switching to a simple, no-nonsense response mode
/c start: Resume the structured creative process, following each step with carefully considered precision.
/c level=[1-10]: Set the creativity intensity, where 1 is pure simplicity (short and direct answer), and 10 is a masterpiece with vivid language and deep imagery.
/c style=[style]: Set the style of the answer, choosing from modes such as "mythical", "formal", "playful" or "dramatic".
When understood, write "Creativity mode activated!"

🚨Elon Musk targets Microsoft in amended OpenAI lawsuit
🫥The updated complaint accuses OpenAI and Microsoft’s partnership of ‘actively trying to eliminate competitors.’
🫥Elon Musk has updated his lawsuit against OpenAI, adding antitrust claims against Microsoft, accusing the two companies of attempting to monopolize the generative AI market.
🫥The amended complaint, filed Thursday, names Microsoft, LinkedIn co-founder Reid Hoffman, and Microsoft VP Dee Templeton as defendants. Musk’s legal team alleges that former OpenAI CEO Sam Altman engaged in self-dealing, creating a “de facto merger” between OpenAI and Microsoft that promotes anticompetitive behavior.
🫥The lawsuit claims that the two companies are colluding to eliminate competitors by sharing sensitive information and discouraging investment in rival AI ventures, including Musk’s own xAI company. Additionally, xAI and Musk’s Neuralink executive Shivon Zilis, a former OpenAI board member, have been added as plaintiffs in the case.
