The Prophet (ﷺ) said:
"Seven things continue to accumulate reward for the slave while he’s in his grave after his death.
● The person he educated.
● The canal he dug.
● The well he drilled.
● The date palm tree he planted.
● A masjid he built.
● Some Qur’an he donated.
● And a child who asks forgiveness for him after his death."
📚 Musnad al-Bazzar #7289
THE ORDER FOR REMEMBRANCE OF ALLĀH AND SEEKING GOOD IN THIS LIFE AND THE HEREAFTER UPON COMPLETING THE RITES OF HAJJ
ALLĀH says;
And when you have completed your rites, remember ALLĀH like your ˹previous˺ remembrance of your fathers or with ˹much˺ greater remembrance.
ALLĀH commanded that when finishing them (the rites of Haj), we should ask HIM for forgiveness and remember HIM a great deal; we should ask HIM for forgiveness for any mistakes or shortcomings in worship. Remembering ALLĀH means thanking HIM for HIS blessings by which HE enabled us to perform this great act of worship.
This is what should be done every time one finishes an act of worship: he should ask ALLĀH for forgiveness for shortcomings and thank HIM for enabling him to do it. This is unlike the one who thinks that he has done the act of worship perfectly and has done a favour to his Lord by doing it, and that it will give him high status. Such a one deserves to be despised ˹by his Lord˺ and to have his deed rejected, just as the former deserves to be accepted and enabled to do more good deeds.
Then ALLĀH tells us about the condition of people. All of them ask HIM for their needs and for protection from harm, but their ultimate goals vary. Among them are
some people who say: "Our Lord, give us in this world," and he will have in the Hereafter no share.
But there are others who say: Our Lord, give us good in this world and good in the hereafter, and protect us from the torment of the fire.
Those will have a share of what they have earned, and ALLĀH is swift in account.
That is, they (the first category) ask HIM for things they want in this world that stem from their whims and desires; they will have no share in the hereafter, because they are not interested in it and their focus is limited to this world. Others (the second category) ask ALLĀH for what is good in both realms and express their need of ALLAH’s help and support with regard to their religious and worldly affairs. Both groups will have a share of what they have earned, and ALLĀH will requite them in accordance with their deeds, aims and intentions, in a manner that is based on justice and generosity. All praise be to HIM.
This verse indicates that ALLĀH answers the supplication of everyone who calls upon HIM, whether he is a Muslim or a disbeliever or an evildoer, but HIS answering a supplication does not indicate that HE loves the person who offered it or that that person is close to HIM, unless it has to do with the hereafter or spiritual matters.
The good that is sought in this world includes everything that is liked by people, such as abundant and enjoyable halal provision, a righteous wife, a child who is a source of joy, ease and comfort, beneficial knowledge, righteous deeds and other things that are liked and are permissible.
The good that is sought in the hereafter is safety from punishment in the grave, during the standing ˹on the Day of Resurrection˺ and in hell; attaining the good pleasure of ALLĀH and eternal bliss; and being close to the Most Merciful Lord. Hence this supplication is the most perfect and comprehensive of supplications, and the most appropriate for the believers. Hence the Prophet (ﷺ) often recited this supplication and encouraged others to do likewise.

THE LORD IS EVER WATCHFUL
Concerning ALLĀH'S statement,
Verily, your Lord is Ever Watchful.
Ibn Abbas said, "HE hears and HE sees."
This means that HE watches over HIS creation in that which they do, and HE will reward them in this life and in the Hereafter based upon what each of them strove for. HE will bring all of the creation before HIM and HE will judge them with justice. HE will requite each of them with that which he deserves, for HE is far removed from injustice and tyranny.
{Tafsir Ibn Kathīr}
O children of Adam! WE have provided for you clothing to cover your nakedness and as an adornment. However, the best clothing is righteousness. That is from the signs of ALLĀH that perhaps they will remember.
O children of Adam! Do not let Satan decieve you as he removed your parents (Adam and Hawwâ’) from Paradise, stripping them of their clothing to show them their nakedness. Indeed, he sees you, he and his soldiers, from where you do not see them. Indeed, WE have made the devils allies to those who do not believe.
📖 Al-A'rāf || Verse 26-27
Qatadah (may ALLĀH have mercy on him) said: Muslim ibn Yasār said the following regarding al-Qadr:
"Al-Qadhā' wa'l-Qadr are two deep vallies which the people travel through but will never know their true depth. Therefore, perform the deeds of a man who knows that only his deeds can save him, and have the tawakkal of a man who knows that only what ALLĀH has decreed for him can happen to him."
📚 Siyar A'lām al-Nubalā' (4/512)
Don't be the one who memorizes the Qur'an for the eyes of people, but forgets that Allah sees the heart.
Memorize in silence. Let your tears fall where no one sees. Let your struggles be known only to the One who sent down the Qur'an.
Every verse you carry is a gift, a trust-not a trophy.
There will be people on the Day of Judgment who memorized the Qur'an and were thrown into Hell first because they did it to be called a 'hafidh'. Their reward was in the praise of people, not in the pleasure of Allah.
So protect your Qur'an. Hide it like a treasure. Let it shine in your actions, not your words. The Qur'an will either speak for you or against you in the grave.
Memorize it purely for the sake of Allah and fear the responsibility that comes with it.
#Al_Baseerah (Muneebah)
Do they seek other than the religion of ALLĀH, while to HIM submitted all creatures in the heavens and the earth, willingly or unwillingly. And to HIM they will ˹all˺ be returned.
Say, WE have believed in ALLĀH and in what was revealed to us and what was revealed to Ibrāhīm (Abraham), Ismā‘īl (Ishmael), Ishāq (Isaac), Ya‘qūb (Jacob) and Al-Asbāt (the offspring of the twelve sons of Ya‘qūb (Jacob)) and what was given to Mūsā (Moses), ‘Īsā (Jesus) and the Prophets from their Lord. We make no distinction between any of them, and we are Muslims ˹submitting˺ to HIM.
And whoever seeks a religion other than Islām, it will never be accepted of him, and in the Hereafter he will be one of the losers.
📖 Āli-'Imrān || Verse 83-85
Sheikh Ṣāliḥ al-Fawzān (may ALLĀH preserve him):
"Some say 'I put my trust in ALLĀH, I will sit worshipping and ALLĀH will provide', this is impermissible. You must seek provision for yourself and your wife, it’s a part of worship, do not sit for charity."
📚 Itihaful-Qāri bit-ta'līqāt 'ala Sharḥ as-Sunnah
Say, "Imagine if ALLĀH were to make the night continous for you until the Day of Resurrection, which god other than ALLĀH could bring you sunlight? Will you not then listen?"
Say, "Imagine if ALLĀH were to make the day continous for you until the Day of Resurrection, which god other than ALLĀH could bring you night to rest in? Will you not then see?"
It is out of HIS Mercy that HE has made for you the night and the day that you may rest therein (i.e. during the night) and that you may seek of HIS Bounty (i.e. during the day) - and in order that you may be grateful.
📖 Al-Qasas || Verses 71-73
Shaykh Ibn ‘Uthaymīn (may ALLĀH have mercy on him) said:
"The Messenger's (ﷺ) saying, 'Do not make yourself incapable' means: Do not become lazy and go back on an action once you have started it; rather, persist.
This is because if you left it and then afterwards started another action, and then afterwards you left ˹that˺ and then started, and then left, none of your actions would ˹ever˺ get completed."
📚 Sharḥ Riyaḍus-Ṣāliḥīn (2/82)
ALLĀH'S BOUNTY TOWARDS HIS CREATION
ALLĀH says:
It is ALLĀH Who has made the night for you to rest in and the day for you to see.
That is, HE has made it (the night) for your sake; HE has made it dark "for you to rest" in it from your activities which, if they were to be continuous, would cause you harm. So you retire to your beds, and ALLĀH bestows upon you sleep, which gives rest to minds and bodies. Sleep is one of the human necessities that man cannot do without. Every lover finds comfort in his beloved, and people become focused, and distractions are reduced.
And ALLĀH has made "the day for you to see" by the light of the sun that is running its course. So you get up from your beds and go about your business, both spiritual and worldly. So people may recite dhikr or read Qur’an, or pray, or seek knowledge and study; or engage in trade, or work as builders, blacksmiths and other professions; or travel by land or sea; or go out to till the fields, or to tend to their animals.
Indeed, ALLĀH is full of Bounty to mankind,
as HE bestows upon them these blessings and others, and HE averts harm from them. This requires them to give complete thanks to HIM and to remember HIM,
but most people are not grateful.
because of their ignorance and wrongdoing.
˹ALLĀH mentioned elsewhere:˺
But few of MY slaves are grateful. (34:13)
There are few who acknowledge the blessings of their Lord, submit to ALLĀH, love HIM, and use the blessings in obedience to their Lord and in pursuit of HIS pleasure.
{Tafsir As-Sa'di}
And it will be said to those who feared ALLĀH, What did your Lord send down? They will say, ˹That which is˺ good. For those who do good in this world is good; and the home of the Hereafter is better. And how excellent is the home of the righteous -
Gardens of perpetual residence, which they will enter, beneath which rivers flow. In it they will have whatever they desire. This is how ALLĀH rewards the righteous—
Those whose souls the angels take while they are virtuous, saying ˹to them˺, “Salāmun 'Alaikum (peace be upon you)! Enter Paradise for what you used to do ˹in the world˺.”
📖 An-Nahl || Verse 30-32
THE BELIEVER IS PATIENT WITH THE AFFLICTION AND THUS GAINS A REWARD
ALLĀH says,
WE will surely test you with something of fear and hunger and a loss of wealth and lives and fruits, but give good news to those who patiently endure.
These things will inevitably happen, because the All-Knowing, All-Aware has told us of it, and it happened as HE foretold. When it happens, people respond in one of two ways, either impatience or patience. The one who is impatient suffers two calamities: the loss of what he loves, which is the calamity that he has been stricken with, and loss of something greater than that, which is the reward for obeying ALLĀH’s command to be patient. Thus he incurs loss and deprivation of reward and whatever he has of faith decreases. He misses out on patience, acceptance and gratitude, and he becomes resentful, which is indicative of a lack of faith.
As for the one whom ALLĀH enables to be patient when calamities occur, he controls himself and stops himself developing any resentment that could be reflected in his words or deeds. He seeks reward for it from ALLĀH, and he knows that the reward he will attain for his patience is greater than the calamity that has befallen him. In his case, the calamity turns into a blessing, because it becomes a means of attaining something better and more beneficial for him than what he lost. So he obeys the command of ALLĀH and earns reward. Hence ALLĀH says:
but give good news to those who patiently endure.
that is, give them the glad tidings that they will be rewarded without measure.

Sheikhul-Islam Ibn Taymiyyah (may ALLĀH have mercy on him)said:
"The declaration of faith: 'Laa ilāha illallāh (There's no god ˹worthy of worship˺ but ALLĀH)' requires you to:
● Love only for the sake of ALLĀH.
● Hate only for the sake of ALLĀH.
● Ally yourself only for the sake of ALLĀH.
● Declare enmity only for the sake of ALLĀH.
● Love what ALLĀH loves.
● Hate what ALLĀH hates.
● Ally yourself with the Muslims wherever you find them.
● Oppose the kuffar even if they are your closest kin."

THE ENCOURAGEMENT TO STICK TO THE RIGHT PATH AND RESIST TEMPTATIONS
ALLĀH says,
ALLĀH wishes to accept your repentance
that is, by means of repentance that helps you to start anew, fills your hearts with peace and brings you closer to ALLĀH.
but those who follow their desires wish to see you deviate entirely ˹from the right path˺.
That is, those who go along with their whims and desires wherever they lead them, and give precedence to that over that which pleases ALLĀH; they worship their whims and desires. ˹This refers to˺ all types of disbelievers, sinners and those who give precedence to their whims and desires over obedience to their Lord.
These people "wish to see you deviate entirely ˹from the right path" that is, they want you to deviate from the straight path and follow the path of those with whom ALLĀH is angry and those who have gone astray. They want to divert you from obedience to the Most Merciful to obedience to the Shaytan, from adherence to the guidelines that lead to happiness by obeying HIS commands to following the one whose way leads to utter misery.
Once you realise that ALLĀH enjoins upon you that which is in your best interests and will lead to success and happiness, and that those who follow their whims and desires are enjoining upon you that which will lead to the utmost loss and misery, then choose for yourselves the better of the two callers and choose the better of the two paths.
{Tafsir As-Sa'di}
Ibn Mas’ud (may ALLĀH be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of ALLĀH (ﷺ) drew a line in the sand with his hand and he said, “This is the straight path of ALLĀH.” Then, the Prophet drew lines to the right and left, saying, “These are other paths, and there is no path among them but that a devil is upon it calling to its way.” Then, the Prophet recited the verse, “Verily, this is the straight path, so follow it and do not follow other ways.” (6:153) {Musnad Ahmad #4437}
Al-Nu’man ibn Bashir reported: The Messenger of ALLĀH (ﷺ) said, “ALLĀH is more intensely joyful by the repentance of His servant than a man who sets out on a journey with his provisions upon his camel. Then, he marched until he reached a waterless desert and was overtaken by sleepiness. He descended to lie under a tree, but his camel ran away as he slept. When he woke up, he ran to the nearest hill but did not see anything, then he ran to another hill but did see anything, then he ran to a third hill but did not see anything, so he returned to his original place. While he was sitting, his camel came walking back until it placed his rein in his hand. Thus, ALLĀH is more intensely joyful by the repentance of the servant than this man who finds his camel in this situation.” {Muslim #2745}

Ibn Kathīr (may ALLĀH have mercy on him) said:
"From the manners of the Prophet (ﷺ) was that he would have beautiful companionship and would always be joyful, he would be playful with his family and treat them affectionately, he would be generous in spending on them, he would make his wives laugh, he would even run a race with ‘A'ishah the mother of the believers to show love towards her."
📚 Tafsīr Ibn Kathīr (1/466)
And ˹remember˺ when your Lord brought forth from the loins of the children of Adam their descendants and had them testify regarding themselves. ˹saying to them˺, Am I not your Lord? They said, Yes, we have testified. ˹This˺ lest you should say on the Day of Resurrection, Indeed, we were of this unaware.
Or lest you should say: It was only our fathers afortime who took others as partners in worship along with ALLĀH, and we were ˹merely their˺ descendants after them. Then would YOU destroy us for what the falsifiers have done?
And thus do WE explain in detail the verses, and perhaps they will return ˹to the Right Path˺.
📖 Al-A'rāf || Verses 172-174
Shaykhul-Islām Ibn Taymiyyah (may ALLĀH have mercy on him) said:
"The most complete person is he who obeys ALLĀH the most and has the most patience with afflictions. The closer one follows the commands of ALLĀH and HIS Messenger (ﷺ), the more his actions agree with what ALLĀH loves and is pleased with, and the greater his patience is with his pre-decree, the more complete and virtuous he is. One is only as faulty as his abidance by these two."

How Often Is Intimacy a Right for the Wife?
🎙️Shaykh Sulayman al-Ruhayli (may ALLĀH preserve him upon goodness)

MIXING TRADE WITH CHARITY
Abu Wa'il narrated that Qais bin Abi Gharazah said: "The Messenger of ALLĀH (ﷺ) came to us, and we were what was called 'brokers,' he said: 'O people of trade! Indeed the Shaitan and sin are present in the sale, so mix your sales with charity'." {At-Tirmidhi #1208}
In another narration, he (ﷺ) said: "O company of merchants, unprofitable speech and swearing takes place in business dealings, so mix it with charity." {Abū Dāwūd #3326}
LESSONS AND BENEFITS:
• Even while engaging in worldly pursuits like trade or business, remain conscious of your faith and duties to ALLĀH.
• Permissibility of trade.
• Set aside a specific portion of your sales profits to donate to charity as it purifies wealth and earns the pleasure of ALLĀH.
• Good deeds wipe away bad deeds.
• Always seek the help of ALLĀH to guard against the influence of Shaytan in your business dealings.
• Strive to be honest and transparent in your trades. Avoid lies, deceptions, and unnecessary oath.
And ALLĀH knows best.

GOOD-DOERS SHOULD NOT BE BLAMED
ALLĀH said,
"There is no reason to reproach those who do good" and carry out their duties towards ALLĀH and HIS slaves. There should be no blame on them. If a person does what he is able to, then what he cannot do is waived for him.
This verse is quoted as evidence for the principle which says that the one who does good to another person (with good intentions) by taking care of him and his wealth, and the like, but his attempt to do good leads to some damage or loss, then he is not liable, because he sought to do good and there is no reason to reproach those who do good. This verse also indicates that the one who does not do good, or does not do things properly, such as one who is negligent, is liable.
{Tafsir As-Sa'di}
THE VIRTUE OF ASSERTING THAT WE ALL BELONG TO ALLĀH, DURING AFFLICTIONS
ALLĀH says,
Give good news to those who patiently endure—who, when afflicted with calamity, say, "Indeed we belong to ALLĀH, and indeed to HIM we will return."
That is, ALLĀH owns us and we are under HIS control; we have no control over our own selves and property at all. If we are tested with regard to some of it, then the Most Merciful has decreed something concerning HIS slaves and their property as HE wills, so there should be no objection to HIM. Rather it is part of being a true slave of ALLĀH (‘ubūdiyah) to realise that the calamity has been decreed by the Sovereign, the Most Wise, Who is more merciful to him than he is to himself. This gives him a sense of contentment and acceptance of ALLĀH’s decree, which makes him grateful to ALLĀH for decreeing for HIS slave that which is good for him, even if he does not realise it. In addition to the fact that we belong to ALLĀH, we will return to HIM on the Day of Resurrection, when HE will requite each person in accordance with his deeds. So if we show patience and seek reward, we will find our reward waiting for us with HIM, but if we are impatient and resentful, our share will be nothing but resentment and the loss of reward. Knowing that we are slaves of ALLĀH and will return to HIM is among the greatest means of attaining patience.
{Tafsir As-Sa'di}
There are several Hadiths that mention the rewards of admitting that the return is to ALLĀH by saying:
إِنَّا لِلّهِ وَإِنَّـا إِلَيْهِ رَاجِعونَ
"Indeed we belong to ALLĀH, and indeed to HIM we will return."
when afflictions strike.
For instance, Imam Ahmad reported that Umm Salamah narrated: "Once, Abu Salamah came back after he was with ALLĀH's Messenger and said: I heard ALLĀH's Messenger recite a statement that made me delighted.
He (ﷺ) said: "No Muslim is struck with an affliction and then says Istirja' (innā lillāhi wa innā ilaihi rāji'ūn) when the affliction strikes, and then says:`O ALLĀH! Reward me for my loss and give me what is better than it,' but ALLĀH will do just that."
Umm Salamah said: So I memorized these words.
When Abu Salamah died I said Istirja' and said: "O ALLĀH! Compensate me for my loss and give me what is better than it."
I then thought about it and said, "Who is better than Abu Salamah?"
When my Iddah (the period of time before the widow or divorced woman can remarry) finished, ALLĀH's Messenger asked for permission to see me while I was dyeing a skin that I had. I washed my hands, gave him permission to enter and handed him a pillow, and he sat on it.
He then asked me for marriage and when he finished his speech, I said, "O Messenger of ALLĀH! It is not because I do not want you, but I am very jealous and I fear that you might experience some wrong mannerism from me for which ALLĀH would punish me. I am old and have children."
He (ﷺ) said: "As for the jealousy that you mentioned, ALLĀH the Exalted will remove it from you. As for your being old as you mentioned, I have suffered what you have suffered. And for your having children, they are my children too."
She said, "I have surrendered to ALLĀH's Messenger."
ALLĀH's Messenger married her and Umm Salamah said later,
"ALLĀH compensated me with who is better than Abu Salamah: ALLĀH's Messenger."
Muslim reported a shorter version of this Hadith
{Tafsir Ibn Kathīr}
BEAUTIFUL PATIENCE IS AT THE FIRST STRIKE OF CALAMITY
Anas ibn Malik, may Allāh be pleased with him, reported: The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, passed by a woman who was weeping next to a grave. The Prophet said, "Be mindful of Allāh and be patient."
She said, "Go away from me! You have not been afflicted by a calamity like mine," and she did not recognize him.
Then, she was told that it was the Prophet, so she went to the Prophet’s house and she did not find any guards there. She said to him, "I did not recognize you."
The Prophet said, "Verily, patience is at the first strike."

Indeed, the criminals will be in the torment of Hell forever.
It will never be lightened for them, and there they will be overwhelmed with despair.
WE did not wrong them, but it was they who were the wrongdoers.
And they will cry: O Mālik (Keeper of Hell)! Let your Lord put an end to us! He will say: Verily, you shall abide forever.
WE certainly brought the truth to you, but most of you have a hatred for the truth.
Or have they plotted some plan? Then WE too are planning.
Or do they think that WE do not hear their secrets and their private counsel? Yes ˹We do˺! And OUR messengers (i.e., appointed angels in charge of mankind) are with them recording.
