THE OBLIGATION OF APPOINTING A KHALIFAH AND SOME RELATED ISSUES
Al-Qurtubi, as well as other scholars, said that; this Ayah (2:30) proves the obligation of appointing a Khalifah to pass judgments on matters of dispute between people, to aid the oppressed against the oppressor, to implement the Islamic penal code and to forbid evil. There are many other tasks that can only be fulfilled by appointing the Imām, and what is necessary in performing an obligation, is an obligation itself.
We should state here that Imāmah occurs by;
either naming a successor, as a group among Ahlus-Sunnah scholars said occurred - by the Prophet - in the case of Abu Bakr, or hinting to a successor.
Or, the current Khalifah names a certain person as Khalifah after him, as Abu Bakr did with Umar.
Or, the Khalifah might leave the matter in the hands of the Muslim consultative council, or a group of righteous men, just as Umar did.
Or, the people of authority could gather around a certain person to whom they give the pledge of allegiance, or they could select one among them to choose the candidate, according to the majority of the scholars.
The Khalifah must be a responsible adult Muslim male, able to perform Ijtihad (independent legal judgments), bodily able, righteous, with knowledge of warfare, politics.
He also must be from the tribe of Quraysh, according to the correct view, but it is not necessary that he be from the tribe of Bani Hashim, or that he be immune from error, as the Rafidah (Shiites) falsely claim.
When the Khalifah becomes an immoral person (Fasiq), should he be impeached. There is disagreement over this matter, but the correct view is that he is not to be removed, because the Messenger of ALLĀH said, "Unless you witness a clear Kufr regarding which you have clear proof from ALLĀH."
Does the Khalifah have the right to resign from his post?
There is a difference on this issue.
It is a fact that Al-Hasan bin Ali removed himself from the position of Khalifah and surrendered it to Muawiyah. However, this occurred because of a necessity, and Al-Hasan was praised for this action.
It is not permissible to appoint two Imams for the world or more at the same time. This is not allowed because the Messenger of ALLĀH said, "Whoever came to you while you are united and tried to divide you, then execute him, no matter who he is."
This is the view of the majority of scholars.
Imam Al-Haramayn stated that; Abu Ishaq allowed the appointment of two or more Imams when the various provinces are far away from each other.
However, Imam Al-Haramayn himself was indecisive about this view.

🎤 Shaykh Sulayman Ar-Ruhayli (may ALLĀH preserve him upon goodness)
Those who disbelieve and avert ˹people˺ from the way of ALLĀH - HE will render their deeds void.
As for those who believe and do righteous deeds and believe in what has been sent down upon Muḥammad - and it is the truth from their Lord - HE will remove from them their misdeeds and amend their condition.
That is because those who disbelieve follow falsehood, while those who believe follow the truth from their Lord. Thus does ALLĀH set forth for mankind their parables.
📖 Muḥammad || Verses 1-3
Shaykh Ibn Uthaymīn (may ALLĀH have mercy on him) said:
"Know that when you deal and interact with your wife then it is mandatory that you think of a ˹scenario˺ where a man is the husband of your daughter. How does he treat her? Would you be pleased for him to treat her with harshness and sternness? The answer is no. Therefore, do not be content with treating the daughter of another person in a fashion that you would not be pleased for your daughter to be treated. This principle should be known by all people."

SHAYTĀN'S ARROGANCE
˹ALLĀH mentioned˺ Iblis, may ALLĀH curse him, said,
أَنَاْ خَيْرٌ مِّنْهُ
I am better than him (Adam),
and this excuse is worse than the crime itself! Shaytān said that he did not obey ALLĀH because he who is better cannot prostrate to he who is less.
Shaytān, may ALLĀH curse him, meant that he is better than Adam, "So how can You order me to prostrate before him!" Shaytān said that he is better than Adam because he was created from fire while, "You created him from clay, and fire is better." The cursed one looked at the origin of creation not at the honor bestowed, that is, ALLĀH creating Adam with HIS Hand and blowing life into him. Shaytān made a false comparison when confronted by ALLĀH's command,
فَقَعُوا لَهُ سَاجِدِينَ
Then you fall down prostrate to him. (38:72)
Therefore, Shaytān alone contradicted the angels, because he refused to prostrate. He, thus, became 'Ablasa' from the mercy, meaning, lost hope in acquiring ALLĀH's mercy. He committed this error, may ALLĀH curse him, due to his false comparison.
His claim that the fire is more honored than mud was also false, because mud has the qualities of wisdom, forbearance, patience and assurance, mud is where plants grow, flourish, increase, and provide good. To the contrary, fire has the qualities of burning, recklessness and hastiness. Therefore, the origin of creation directed Shaytān to failure, while the origin of Adam led him to return to ALLĀH with repentance, humbleness, obedience and submission to HIS command, admitting his error and seeking ALLĀH's forgiveness and pardon for it.
Muslim recorded that Aishah said that the Messenger of ALLĀH said,
"The angels were created from light, Shaytān from a smokeless flame of fire, while Adam was created from what was described to you."

THE COMMAND TO PONDER THE POWER OF ALLĀH IN HUMAN CREATION
ALLĀH said:
أَوَلَمۡ يَتَفَكَّرُواْ فِىٓ أَنفُسِهِمۗ
Do they not reflect upon themselves!
That is, have these people who reject the Messengers of ALLĀH and denied the meeting with HIM "not reflect upon themselves!", for in their own selves there are signs by which they may know that the One Who created them from nothing will recreate them after that, and that it is not appropriate that the One Who caused them to develop in stages - from a sperm drop, to a clinging clot, to a chewed lump of flesh, to a human being into whom the soul was breathed, to a child, to a young man, to an old man, to a senile man - should leave them aimless and neglected, not given any commands or prohibitions, and not rewarded or punished.

ATTAINING ALLĀH'S CLOSENESS, LOVE AND SUPPORT
The Messenger of ALLĀH (ﷺ) said, "ALLĀH the Exalted has said: 'I will declare war against him who shows hostility to a pious worshipper of Mine. And the most beloved thing with which MY slave comes nearer to ME is what I have enjoined upon him; and MY slave keeps on coming closer to ME through performing Nawafil (prayer or doing extra deeds besides what is obligatory) till I love him. When I love him I become his hearing with which he hears, his seeing with which he sees, his hand with which he strikes, and his leg with which he walks; and if he asks (something) from Me, I give him, and if he asks My Protection (refuge), I protect him" {Al- Bukhari}
📚 Riyādhus-Saliḥīn #95
LESSONS AND BENEFITS:
● A pious worshiper is a person who seeks closeness to ALLĀH by means of observing the obligations, the most critical of which is Tawhīd, and then performing many supererogatory acts of worship in accordance with the Sunnah of HIS Messenger (ﷺ).
● The Hadith establishes that ALLĀH supports the true believers. HE protects them, guides their words and deeds, and defends them: "Indeed, ALLĀH defends those who believe" (23: 38)
● The obligatory acts of worship are the most beloved deeds by which ALLĀH likes that HIS worshipers draw closer to HIS.
● Performing the supererogatory acts alongside the obligatory ones ensures the love of ALLĀH for the servant.
● The statement: "I become his hearing with which he hears, his sight with which he sees..." means the servant is entirely preoccupied, in all his words and deeds, with what pleases ALLĀH such that he does not hear nor see except what pleases ALLĀH. He also does nothing with his hands or his legs except what is permissible and legitimate.
O ALLĀH, we ask you for YOUR love and the love of those who love YOU and the deeds that will bring us YOUR love. Aamīn.

📚 Ash-Sharḥ al-Mumti' (1/102-103)
O you who believe! Spend of the good things which you have ˹legally˺ earned, and of that which WE have produced from the earth for you, and do not aim at that which is bad to spend from it, while you would not take it ˹yourself˺ except with closed eyes. And know that ALLĀH is Free of need and Praiseworthy.
Shaytān threatens you with poverty and orders you to commit Fahshā (evil deeds, illegal sexual intercourse, sins); whereas ALLĀH promises you Forgiveness from HIMSELF and Bounty, and ALLĀH is All-Sufficient for HIS creatures’ needs, All-Knower.
📖 Al-Baqarah || Verses 267-268
THE FIRST DEED TO BE ACCOUNTED FOR IS SALĀH
Abu Hurairah (May ALLĀH be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of ALLĀH (ﷺ) said, "The first of man's deeds for which he will be called to account on the Day of Resurrection will be Salāh. If it is found to be perfect, he will be safe and successful; but if it is incomplete, he will be unfortunate and a loser. If any shortcoming is found in the obligatory Salāh, the Glorious and Exalted RUBB will command to see whether HIS slave has offered any voluntary Salāh so that the obligatory Salāh may be made up by it. Then the rest of his actions will be treated in the same manner." {At- Tirmidhi}
📚 Riyādhus-Saliḥīn #1081
LESSONS AND BENEFITS:
● The great importance of Salāh and its superiority over other acts of worship.
● Salāh is among the first deeds about which a person will be questioned on the Day of Judgment.
● Salāh must be performed with sincerity, presence of heart, and in accordance with the Sunnah of the Prophet (ﷺ) as he (ﷺ) commanded: "Pray as you have seen me pray"
● The individual should continually learn the rulings of Salāh to review his Salāh and correct mistakes before standing for accountability.
● The soundness of a person's Salāh makes his reckoning easy on the Day of Judgment.
● Supererogatory Salāh complement the obligatory ones. So, a wise person would be keen to offer supererogatory Salāh to make up for any deficiency in his obligatory Salāh and to attain the love of his Lord.
● Out of HIS mercy towards HIS servants, ALLĀH has legislated for them supererogatory Salāh as a safeguard and in recognition of the great status of the obligations, and to make up for any deficiency in them.
● There's no safety and success for the one who doesn't offer Salāh.

THE SUMMARY OF AL-FĀTIḤAH
The honorable Surah Al-Fātiḥah contains seven Ayat including the praise and thanks of ALLĀH, glorifying HIM and praising HIM by mentioning HIS most Beautiful Names and most high Attributes.
It also mentions the Hereafter, which is the Day of Resurrection, and directs ALLAH'S servants to ask of HIM, invoking HIM and declaring that all power and strength comes from HIM.
It also calls to the sincerity of the worship of ALLĀH alone, singling HIM out in HIS divinity, believing in HIS perfection, being free from the need of any partners, having no rivals nor equals.
Al-Fātiḥah directs the believers to invoke ALLĀH to guide them to the straight path, which is the true religion, and to help them remain on that path in this life, and to pass over the actual Sirat (bridge over hell that everyone must pass over) on the Day of Judgment. On that Day, the believers will be directed to the gardens of comfort in the company of the Prophets, the truthful ones, the martyrs and the righteous.
Al-Fātiḥah also encourages performing good deeds, so that the believers will be in the company of the good-doers on the Day of Resurrection. The Surah also warns against following the paths of misguidance, so that one does not end up being gathered with those who indulge in sin, on the Day of Resurrection, including those who have earned the anger and those who were led astray.

THREE STRANGE PARADOXES:

- A healthy instinct (fitrah) is better than a sick mind (aql).
2⃣ Firaun’s wife was established on deen while she was in the house of the greatest tyrant, and Noah’s عليه السلام wife relapsed in the house of the greatest preacher!
- There is no excuse of circumstances to be righteous or corrupt. You choose your way
3⃣ Ibrahim عليه السلام asked for his son to be slaughtered, and he complied, and Noah عليه السلام asked for his son for life, but he refused!!
- Some are righteous to the extent of astonishment, and some are impious to the extent of wonder!
And indeed WE created man (Adam) out of an extract of clay (water and earth).
Thereafter WE made him (the offspring of Adam) as a Nutfah (mixed drops of the male and female sexual discharge and lodged it) in a safe lodging (womb of the woman).
Then WE made the Nutfah into a clot (a piece of thick coagulated blood), then WE made the clot into a little lump of flesh, then WE made out of that little lump of flesh bones, then WE clothed the bones with flesh, and then WE brought it forth as another creation. So Blessed is ALLĀH, the Best of creators.

Then, surely, you will be resurrected on the Day of Resurrection.

BENEFIT 16: REGARDING THE PRAYERS MISSED AFTER BECOMING PURE FROM MENSTRUATION, BEFORE PERFOMING GHUSL
If a menstruating woman becomes pure shortly before 'Asr, for example, and after performing ghusl (ritual purification) the time for 'Asr begins, is she required to pray Dhuhr as well?
The answer is that if she becomes pure—whether from menstruation or postpartum bleeding—before sunset, she is required to pray both Dhuhr and 'Asr for that day. Likewise, if she becomes pure before Fajr, she is required to pray both Maghrib and 'Isha of that night, because the time of the second prayer is considered a time for the first prayer in cases of valid excuse.
Shaykh al-Islam said in Al-Fatāwā (2/334): "For this reason, the opinion of the majority of scholars, such as Mālik, al-Shafi'i, and Ahmad, is that if a menstruating woman becomes pure at the end of the day, she prays both Dhuhr and 'Asr. If she becomes pure at the end of the night, she prays both Maghrib and 'Isha. This has been reported from Abdur-Rahman ibn Awf, Abu Hurairah, and Ibn Abbas, because the time is shared between the two prayers in cases of excuse. If she becomes pure at the end of the day, the time for Dhuhr remains, so she prays it before Asr. If she becomes pure at the end of the night, the time for Maghrib remains in cases of excuse, so she prays it before 'Isha."
And ALLĀH knows best.

. . ." اهـ . والله أعلم.
