SUCCESS & EXCELLENCE

The most dangerous illusion is thinking that what you possess will remain yours.

How many people master the art of collecting wealth, yet suddenly depart from this world taking nothing with them except a shroud. They think that charity decreases their balance, while in reality it transfers their balance to a place where cards, accounts, and “transfer successful” messages will never reach. Allah the Almighty says:
“And whatever good you put forward for yourselves—you will find it with Allah.”

Wealth is a means of crossing, not a pillow of permanence. When we give charity, we are not sending it only to a poor person; we are sending it to a day when we will be in the greatest need of a good deed.

Every charity you place here, you will find its shade there.
*You cannot take your wealth with you, but it can go ahead of you.*

A door that, if it closes, no apology will open again.

“I do not cry for myself if I die; rather, I cry for Paradise if I miss it.”
We worry about things that will disappear and plan for a life that may end in a moment. But the question many people avoid is: What have we prepared for the home where there is no death afterward?

Some people worry if they miss a trip or lose an appointment, yet they do not worry about a prayer they missed or a sin they have become used to. Allah says:
“Say, indeed the losers are those who will lose themselves and their families on the Day of Resurrection.”

Paradise is not attained through wishes or through many words; rather, it is attained through hidden steps where Allah sees you alone: a prayer performed on time, a sin you left for the sake of Allah, or a heart that struggles so it does not drift away.

*This entire world is temporary, except Paradise — for it is the eternal home.*

There are people who master the art of escaping with words.

A believer may become weak, be overcome by desire, fall into a sin, and then feel regret—because when he makes a mistake, something inside him still hurts. But the liar’s problem is that he becomes used to changing colors until his true face is no longer known.

The Prophet peace be upon him was asked: “Can a believer be cowardly?” He said: “Yes.”
“Can he be stingy?” He said: “Yes.”
Then he was asked: “Can he be a liar?” He said: “No.” Sahih

Lying is not merely changing the truth; it is a crack in the heart. That is why it is one of the most dangerous things that corrupts relationships and destroys trust. A person may need a thousand lies just to cover the first one.

The truthful believer knows that salvation lies in honesty, and that a lie which saves you temporarily may defeat you in the long run.

Every blessing you have is either a witness for you or against you.

Reflect on sins and you will find that they come from one thing: taking the gifts of God and using them to disobey Him. You breathe by His grace, move by His strength, and fall into sin moment after moment while He covers you and gives you time. God says:
“And whatever blessing you have is from Allah.”

Sin is not just a wrongdoing; it is a misuse of blessings.

A person uses the blessing of the Giver to disobey Him, then wonders why punishment does not come quickly. The problem is not the lack of blessings, but their misuse. You disobey God with an eye He created, with a tongue He granted you, and with a heart He keeps beating—then you ask: Why does my chest feel tight?

He who plants virtues among people does not truly die;
Rather, he lives a second life beneath the earth.

We spend our lives chasing what fades away: wealth that is counted, an image that is polished, and a name that is promoted. Then we are surprised when our traces disappear faster than we expected. Meanwhile, a person may say a sincere word or plant a good character in someone’s heart, and he remains alive—not by his name, but by his impact.

The Prophet peace be upon him said: “When the son of Adam dies, his deeds come to an end except for three: ongoing charity, beneficial knowledge, or a righteous child who prays for him.”Sahih

Not every living person is remembered, and not every dead person is forgotten. Virtue does not search for applause and does not need an audience; it only needs love for goodness and sincerity. So do not occupy yourself with who saw you, but with what you left behind.

*A human being is nothing but his impact ; so be an impact that remains.*

Not everything that passes through your life passes without leaving an effect.

How strange we are: we delay repentance as if tomorrow were guaranteed, and we commit sins as if the reckoning has been forgotten. Then, when life becomes difficult, we ask, “Why me?”

It is beautiful that we have good expectations of the mercy of God, but we have misunderstood it. God is Most Forgiving and Most Merciful, yes—but He is also Severe in punishment. The problem is not that we sinned, but that we became comfortable with the sin. God says: “What has deceived you concerning your Generous Lord?”

Concealment is not approval, and delay is not neglect. Some people think that God loves them because they have not yet been punished, while the truth may be that their reckoning is only being postponed. So be careful: not every delay is mercy, and not every calm moment means acceptance.

Return before you are asked this question and find no answer:
*“What deceived you about your Lord, O human?”*

Gönül onaran her şey parayla satın alınmaz.

Provision may come when your hope in the means has already faded.

Some of us, when life becomes tight, search for a way out, and when provision decreases, search for an increase. But few ask themselves: have I fulfilled the condition in the first place? Allah says: “And whoever fears Allah – He will make for him a way out, and provide for him from where he does not expect.”
“Whoever fears Allah”—this is the key.
“He will make for him a way out”—this is a promise.
“And provide for him from where he does not expect”—this is a divine surprise.

Some people want the unexpected provision while they do not account for their own piety. You want relief? Fix what is between you and Allah. You want a way out? Its door may be leaving a sin. You want amazing provision? It may come after an act of obedience you kept postponing. *We memorize the verse as promises but overlook it as conditions.*

“Allaah is most Great, much praise be to Allaah and glory be to Allaah at the beginning and end of the day. Allaah is most Great and we worship none but Allaah, and we make our worship purely for Him (alone) however much the disbelievers may hate that.
There is no god but Allaah alone; He fulfilled His promise and granted victory to His slave and defeated the Confederates alone.
There is no God but Allaah and Allaah is most Great.”

Allaahu Akbar!

🔺*When to start the Takbeeraat?*
The takbeeraat of Eid al-Adhaa begin at sunset when the moon of Dhul Hijjah is sighted and last until the sun sets on the 13th of Dhul Hijjah.

That means we should have *already started* saying the Takbeeraat from sunset when the moon of Dhul Hijjah was sighted.

🍃 Allaah says:

“That they may witness things that are of benefit to them (i.e. reward of Hajj in the Hereafter, and also some worldly gain from trade), and mention the Name of Allaah on *appointed* days”
[al-Hajj 22:28]

These “appointed days” are the first ten days of Dhul Hijjah.

🍃And Allaah says:

“And remember Allaah during the “appointed” Days [These are the three days of staying at Mina during the Hajj; 11th, 12th and 13th days of the month of Dhul-Hijjah]” [al-Baqarah 2:203]

These “appointed” Days are the days of Tashreeq (11th, 12th and 13th of Dhul-Hijjah).

🍃 And the Prophet ﷺ said:

“The days of Tashreeq are the days of eating, drinking and REMEMBERING Allaah.”
(Muslim)

🍃Shaikh Ibn Baaz said:

“With regard to Takbeer on (Eid al-Ad’haa), it is prescribed from the beginning of the month until the end of the thirteenth day of Dhu’l-Hijjah.”
(Kitaab Majmoo’ Fataawa Wa Maqaalaat Mutanawwi’ah Li Samaahat Vol. 13, P. 17)

🔺*Two types of Takbeeraat*

The Takbeeraat are of TWO KINDS

*1.”General” or “UNrestricted” Takbeeraat*

These are said ANY time, ALL the time, during the day and night.

*2. Specified or “Restricted” Takbeeraat*

These Takbeeraat are said specifically AFTER EVERY FARDH Salaah, immediately after the salaam.
These Takbeeraat are to be said from Fajr of the 9th of Dhul Hijjah until Maghrib of the 13th of this month.

🍃Shaikh Ibn Uthaymeen explains:

“The takbeer is divided into two categories:

*1. Takbeer at ANY time.*

This is takbeer that is not limited to a specific time, and it is Sunnah to say it all the time, morning and evening, before prayer and after prayer, at all times.

It is Sunnah to recite takbeer at “any time” during the first ten days of Dhu’l-Hijjah and all the days of Tashreeq, starting from the beginning of the month of Dhu’l-Hijjah (i.e., from sunset on the last day of Dhu’l-Qa’dah) until the end of the days of al-Tashreeq, which is when the sun sets on the thirteenth day of Dhu’l-Hijjah).

*2. Takbeer at CERTAIN times.*

This is takbeer that is limited to the time *immediately after prayer*.

With regard to takbeeraat at “certain” times, it starts from Fajr on the day of ‘Arafah (9th of Dhul Hijjah) and lasts until the sun sets on the last day of the days of Tashreeq (13th of Dhul Hijjah) *in addition* to the takbeer that may be recited at any time.

So when a person says the tasleem at the end of the obligatory prayer, he should pray for forgiveness (by saying Astaghfirullaah) three times, and say, “Allaahumma anta al-salaam wa minka al-salaam, tabaarakta yaa dhaa’l-jalaali wa’l-ikraam

(“O Allaah, You are al-Salaam [the One Who is free from all defects and deficiencies), and from You is all peace, blessed are You, O possessor of majesty and honor)”,

*then he should start the takbeer*.

This is for those who are *NOT* on Hajj.

The pilgrims should start the takbeer recited after prayer from Dhuhr on the Day of Sacrifice (the 10th of Dhu’l-Hijjah).”
[al-Sharh al-Mumti’ 5/220-224]

🔺*Should I say the Takbeeraat LOUD or SOFT?*

Brothers should raise their voices reciting this dhikr, wherever they may be, but sisters should say it softly, without raising their voices.

But if the sisters are at home, among Mahrams, then can say the Takbeeraat out loud as well.

How to Deal with Parents Who Do Not Pray? - Shaykh Ibn Bāz

Question:
My father doesn't establish Ṣalah in the masjid or the house. So, if I instruct him to establish the prayers and he doesn't pray, does it become obligatory upon me to leave the house or not?

Shaykh: It is upon you to continuously advise him and strive in it with an excellent manner and good speech.

And it's obligatory that you do not leave because your presence with him is from the means of guiding him.

We are all travelers—so are you alert and mindful of your provisions?

When we prepare our belongings for a journey, we fear forgetting something, and the longer the trip, the more careful we become. So what about a journey from which there is no return—either to Paradise or to the Fire?

A person may check his suitcase dozens of times, yet he may not check his heart even once. He makes sure he has money, clothes, and documents—but has he made sure about his prayer or his repentance? Allah the Almighty says:
“And take provisions, but indeed the best provision is righteousness (taqwa).”

The longest journey a person will ever take is from this world to the Hereafter. There, the things you exhausted yourself to obtain will not benefit you; what will benefit you is what you sincerely offered to Allah from your heart.

*So prepare provisions for the journey that will never run out, for the road is long and the arrival is certain.*

It begins small, then silently consumes its owner.

Some people, when they hear the word hypocrisy, think it belongs to an ancient time—as if the traits that Islam warned about disappeared with those who once had them. But hypocrisy does not begin with bowing to idols; it begins with a small lie, a promise that is broken, a betrayal that is justified, and a face that changes according to personal interest.

The Prophet peace be upon him said:
“The signs of a hypocrite are three: when he speaks, he lies; when he promises, he breaks it; and when he is trusted, he betrays the trust.” Sahih

A hypocrite does not see himself as a hypocrite; rather, he sees himself as flexible and clever, someone who knows how to get what he wants. He fears being exposed before people.

So search your heart:
Are you steadfast when the applause disappears?
Do you tell the truth when there is no benefit for you?
Does your inner self resemble your outward appearance?

*This is where the real difference begins.*

Goodness may come in a form the soul does not like.

The hardest kind of patience is to be patient with something you do not understand. You see doors closing and answers delayed, yet you are asked to remain calm and trusting. Al-Khidr said to Moses (peace be upon him), as mentioned in the Qur’an:
“And how can you be patient about what you do not encompass in knowledge?”

The soul feels at ease with what it understands and becomes anxious about what it does not.

We want an explanation for everything: Why was this delayed? Why did we lose? Yet we forget that the mercy of God often comes hidden, and much goodness begins in a form we did not ask for. A patient believer is not someone who feels no pain, but someone who knows that his knowledge is limited and that *God sees what he cannot see.*

Do not forget to read Surah Al-Kahf.

The one who truly fears for you will bother you a little.

Not every kind of love is sincere; some of it is merely polite courtesy that masters silence more than it masters giving advice. The Prophet Ibrahim , peace be upon him, did not say to his father, “Do whatever you want.” Rather, he said: “Indeed, I fear that a punishment from the Most Merciful may touch you.” He feared for him, so he spoke; he loved him, so he advised him.

Some people, if they see a strand of hair on your clothes, will fix it immediately. But if they see a flaw in your faith, they say, “It’s none of my business.” Yet religion is sincere advice, and advice is not interference—it is rescue.

Whoever truly loves you will not applaud when you make a mistake, nor smile while seeing your path begin to stray.

*The one who does not care about your faith will not truly care about you, no matter how well they play the role of a friend.*

What is built on people will collapse because of people.

Do not make people your greatest project; your silence is better than constantly mentioning people. Talking about people is like a marketplace: noise, competition, and constant change. Today they lift you up, and tomorrow they pass you by. But the remembrance of God is a calm that cannot be measured, a profit that is never feared to be lost, and a trade that knows no loss.

God Almighty says: “And the remembrance of Allah is greater.” Greater than what? Greater than everything you thought was great. The remembrance of God is the most profitable trade, while the remembrance of people is the most losing one. The more you occupy yourself with people, the more you lose your standing with God; and the more you occupy yourself with the remembrance of God, the less you will need people and what they have.

Allah says: “And do not be like those who forgot Allah, so He made them forget themselves.”

Do not make discussions a battlefield for settling scores.

Disagreement does not corrupt hearts; it reveals them. We may differ in opinion, but we should not differ in character. Do not let your opinion become a cause for cutting ties, and do not let your debate become a door for insults. Remain honorable even when you disagree. Holding onto good character during disagreement is the real test, and a relationship that collapses because of an opinion was never built on true affection in the first place. Allah says: “Repel evil with that which is better.”

We do not need to be identical in order to respect one another, nor do we need to clash to prove ourselves. You can disagree and discuss without hurting others, and you can step away without attacking. *A difference in opinion does not ruin affection, but corruption of character ruins everything.*

So pray extra Nawaafil, read Qur'aan, do LOTS of dhikr, send Salaams on the Prophet ﷺ, make dua, give charity, honor your parents, uphold ties of kinship, enjoin what is good and forbid what is evil, help someone out...
whatever good you can think of, DO it.

🍃Allaah says:

"So whosoever does good equal to the weight of an atom, shall see it; And whosoever does evil equal to the weight of an atom, shall see it."[al-Zalzalah 99:7-8]

🌷*8. Get the reward of Hajj and Umrah wherever you are*

🍃The Prophet ﷺ said:

"Whoever prays Fajr Prayer in congregation, and then sits and remembers Allaah until the sun rises, then (after a while) prays two rak'ahs, he will gain a reward equal to that of making perfect Hajj and Umrah." [He repeated the word "perfect" thrice.] (At-Tirmidhi 586; hasan by al-Albaani)

Isn't that easy, Alhamdulillaah?

🌷*9. Offer Udhiyah (qurbaani) and distribute the meat*

It’s highly recommended for those who can afford it to offer a sacrifice on Eid al-Adhaa.

🍃Ibn Umar radhi Allaahu anhu said:

“The Prophet ﷺ lived in Madeenah for 10 years and every year he slaughtered an animal (at this time)."
(Ahmad-Saheeh by al-Albaani)

Remember that one sacrifice is ENOUGH for one whole family. However if someone wants to do more, they may do that.

And also remember that the Haaji does not offer “Udhiyah”; rather the sacrificial animal that he slaughters in Makkah is called a “Hadiy”.

🌷*10. Attend Eid prayers*

Eid prayer is a beautiful form of worship.
So DO try and attend the Eid prayer.

But we shouldn't be doing things that are unIslaamic (especially) during these times, such as listening to music, women going out for prayer without proper Hijaab, mixing of men and women, etc.

‼️ *IMPORTANT NOTE*‼️

Eid prayer is ONLY for those who are NOT going for Hajj.
*There’s NO EID PRAYER for the Haaji*.

🌷*11. Thank Allaah*

One of the biggest forms of worshipping Allaah Subhaanahu wa Ta'ala is to thank Him, deeply, sincerely and continuously.

After all, isn’t it HE Who gave you every single thing that is “in you”, and “on you” and “around you”?
Why, we wouldn't even be here if it wasn't for the Mercy of your Creator.

So thank Him for ALL that He gave you, the Islaam that He gave you, the health that He gave you, the very life He gave you.
And thank Him for the chance that He gives you in these ten days, to ask for forgiveness and guidance.

🌷*12. Do all sorts of good deeds* that you can think of; like giving sadaqah, feeding the poor, upholding ties of kinship, learn the Deen, memorize a Surah, teach something beneficial, the sky’s the limit.

Alhamdulillah, there is SO much to be gained in these upcoming days.

So make the most of this perfect opportunity offered by these invaluable and irreplaceable ten days.

Hasten to do good deeds.
Appreciate this blessing and make the most of it, striving *hard* in worship .

"And worship your Lord until there comes unto you the certainty (death)." [al-Hijr 15:99]

🌷*The Takbeeraat of Dhul-Hijjah*🌷
by Asma bint Shameem

Alhamdulillaah the BEST ten days of the ENTIRE year are upon us.
ANY good deed you’ll do in these next few days will be counted as the BEST deeds of the ENTIRE year.

🍃The Prophet ﷺ said:

"There are no days in which righteous deeds are more beloved to Allaah than these ten days."
The people asked, "Not even jihaad for the sake of Allaah?"
He said, "Not even jihaad for the sake of Allaah, except in the case of a man who went out to fight giving himself and his wealth up for the cause, and came back with nothing."
(al-Bukhaari)

After all, these are days by which Allaah Subhaanahu wa Ta’aala took an oath;
they are the days in which one of the last aayat in the Qur’aan was revealed; they culminate in the remembrance of Prophet Ibraheem’s sacrifice.

So PART of the good deeds that we can do in these glorious and virtuous days is to MAGNIFY Allaah during the day and night and say the *”Takbeeraat”*.

*Saying the takbeeraat during the first ten days of Dhul Hijjah and the next four days of Eid al-Adhaa, is one of the greatest ways to *worship Allaah* and *thank* Him.*

It is also one of the *greatest Sunnahs* for these magnificent days.

AND it’s *Allaah’s Order.*

🍃Allaah says:

“and *MENTION the Name of Allaah on APPOINTED days”*
[al-Hajj 22:28]

🍃And Allaah says:

“And REMEMBER Allaah during the APPOINTED Days” [al-Baqarah 2:203]

These “APPOINTED” days are the days of Dhul Hijjah from the 1st till the 13th.

📌 *WISDOM behind the Takbeeraat during first ten days of Dhul Hijjah*

🍃 The Prophet ﷺ said:

“A person does not ever make Talbiyah [for those on Hajj] except that he is given glad tidings, nor does a person ever say Takbeer [Allaahu Akbar] except that he is given glad tidings.’

It was asked: ‘With Paradise?’

He answered: ‘Yes.’
(at-Tabarani; hasan by al-Albaani in Silsilah as-Saheehah1621)

🍃 And Umar ibn al-Khattaab and ‘Abd-Allaah ibn Umair Radhi Allaahu anhumaa used to recite Takbeer during the days of Mina in the masjid and in the camps, and they would raise their voices until Mina ECHOED with their Takbeer.

🍃 Al-Khattabi said:

‘The wisdom behind saying Takbeer (Allaahu Akbar) in these ten days of Dhul Hijjah is that in the time of Jahileeyyah they used to slaughter for their false gods in those ten days.
So, saying Takbeer (Allaahu Akbar) in the ten days of Dhul Hijjah was legislated as an indication to specifically slaughtering for Allaah and upon His Name -The Magnificent and the Majestic.’
(Fath al-Bari 2/535)

Allaahu Akbar!
How can we thank you, Yaa Allaah, for the blessing You bestowed upon us of Imaan and Tawheed?
How can we thank you for these beautiful days of worship and good deeds...!

How can we show you that it is You Alone that we worship?
And that we are *grateful* to You for all that you bestowed upon us EXCEPT by Glorifying You, Yaa Rabb, and Exalting Your Mention?

All Praise is for You, Yaa Kareem, Yaa Rabb al-Aalameen, for giving us this chance to worship You and ask for Your forgiveness and have our sins forgiven!

🍃“Ibn ‘Umar and Abu Hurayrah
radhi Allaahu anhumaa used to go out to the market-place on first ten days of Dhu’l-Hijjah, reciting Takbeer, and the people used to recite Takbeer because of their Takbeer.”
(al-Bukhaari)

🍃 Maymoon ibn Mihran (from amongst the Successors [Tabi’een]) said:
“I remember a time when the people would perform their Takbeeraat so much during the ten days that I would compare it (the sound of their voices) to waves.”

🔺*What to say?*

“Allaah is Most Great, Allaah is Most Great, there is no god except Allaah, Allaah is Most Great, Allaah is Most Great, and all praise be to Allaah”

🤍 Intentions 🤍

3 {Qiyam al-Layl / Night Prayer}

When I pray at night, I intend:

✅ To fulfill the will of the Prophet ﷺ.

✅ That I am performing the best prayer after the obligatory ones.

✅ To follow the example of the righteous before me.

✅ That _Allah_ expiates my sins.

✅ That it prevents me from sin and helps me abandon disobedience.

✅ That it is an honor for the believer.

✅ To compete in the best form of competition.

✅ To wake up tomorrow energetic and with a good spirit.

✅ To attain the love of _Allah_.

✅ To enter Jannah in peace and be granted special chambers therein.

✅ To be as close as possible to my Lord during the last part of the night.

✅ That _Allah_ grants me what I ask of Him.

✅ That _Allah_ strengthens my memorization of the Qur’an which I recite during _Qiyam_.

✅ That the Qur’an intercedes for me because I recite it during _Qiyam_.

✅ That _Allah_ raises me in ranks in Jannah.

✅ That _Allah_ has mercy on the one who prays and wakes his spouse, and likewise the one who prays and wakes her husband.

✅ That if a man wakes his family at night and they pray two rak‘ahs together, they are recorded among those who remember _Allah_ much—men and women.

✅ That whoever intends _Qiyam_ but sleeps, it is written for him what he intended.

✅ That whoever prays with ten verses is not written among the heedless.

✅ That whoever prays with one hundred verses is written among the devout.

✅ That whoever prays with one thousand verses is written among the _muqantarin_ (those given immense reward).

SUCCESS & EXCELLENCE

Ibn al qayyim

One of the most astonishing blessings upon the human being is forgetfulness.
Without it:
• Nobody would let go of anything
• Regret would not pass
• Grief would not die
• Consolation would be impossible
• Pleasures could not be enjoyed remembering the harms

Allāh, the Exalted said about the parents who are mushrikun (polytheists): "But if they (both) strive with you to make you join in worship with Me others that of which you have no knowledge, then obey them not, but behave with them in the world kindly." [Sūrah Luqmān, 15]

Therefore, Allāh commanded the son of the mushrikun (polytheists) to behave kindly with them in the dunyā and He did not command him to leave them. So you behave kindly with them in this world by speaking good, fulfilling their needs, and preparing for them food, drink and clothes.

Advise him always and make dua for him in your sujūd, towards the end of your ṣalah, and during all times that Allāh guides him, bestows upon him tawfīq (success), and opens his heart to Imān.

You should not leave him, but deal with them with excellent mannerisms and good speech with gentleness. Supplicate to Allah that He brings about its means (for his guidance).

Also, find some good people whom he knows and respects, so that they come to him, advise him, and help you with the means of guiding him.

The father told his son : be careful where you place your feet, son.
The son replied saying: Dad, you be careful cause I'm following your footsteps!
