"Hi everyone! I am working on a VPN client project using Android Code Studio (ACS) on my smartphone. My project relies on VpnService and uses a custom libv2ray.aar library along with native .so binaries.
I am currently facing a 'Project initialization failed' issue. My main questions are:
Does ACS fully support VpnService and the necessary permissions for VPN development?
Can it properly handle and bundle .aar libraries and JNI libs (.so files) during the build process on a real device?
Are there any specific configurations needed in build.gradle to make VPN projects work in this IDE?
I am using a Samsung device with Android 16 (One UI 8). Any advice or help would be greatly appreciated!"

How is it possible that, as early as 2025, there was already another ACS IDE under the AndroidIDE license—and nobody told me?

If you need to configure this in your build.gradle file, you must explicitly specify it to the compiler. Ask the AI how to perform the configuration to add your native libraries and AARs to build.gradle.
You can directly ask the ACS developer in his group.
