Eva Knott and I have been reporting on the So Cal Antifa conspiracy case for years. Unsurprisingly, it was ignored by most media because it runs against the lie that Antifa don't organize into criminal, violent groups.

Eleven suspects, about half from Los Angeles, were indicted in 2022 by a secret grand jury on dozens of felonies including conspiracy to riot, assault and other violent crimes.

Alexander Akridge-Jacobs, 33, Jesse Merel Cannon, 33, Joseph Austin Gaskins, 23, Christian Martinez, 25, Samuel Howard "Ruchelle" Ogden, 26, Bryan Rivera, 22, Faraz Martin Talab, 29, Erich Louis Yach, 40, and Luis Francisco Mora, 32, all pleaded guilty before trial.

Jonah Abraham Bigel pleaded guilty in 2021 to assault with a deadly weapon after using a baseball bat during the riot.

Brian Lightfoot and Jeremy White were convicted at trial in May.

After 3+ years of investigations involving raids that recovered secret encrypted messages and hidden weapons, San Diego prosecutors dismantled an Antifa cell for the first time anywhere in the U.S. All 12 So Cal Antifa members were convicted. At sentencing, the remaining were all sent to prison or jail. Judge Goldstein originally doubted if prosecutors could show Antifa organize as a group but stated after seeing the evidence: "I don't have any question that this organization exists."

Days before sentencing, So Cal Antifa member and now convicted felon Jeremy Jonathan White (b. Oct. 7, 1982) announced on social media he was trans nonbinary after shaving.

The 41-year-old militant claimed he was a peaceful "medic" at the San Diego riot, but jurors didn't buy it. He was armed with weapons and pepper sprayed a canine wearing a "service dog" vest. He claimed he was fighting "white supremacists."

This isn't the first time White has announced a new identity. At the start of trial, he claimed he was "not guilty by reason of insanity." The nonsensical claim was later withdrawn.
