Both of these tragic incidents highlight a deep failure in institutional supervision and safety protocols rather than a simple narrative about social media.

🔆 ETHICS THROUGH QUOTES – DEMOCRITUS
📍 Thinker: Democritus
📍 Era: Ancient Greece (c. 460–370 BCE)
📍 Theme: Moderation, Conscience, Contentment & Moral Responsibility
🗨 1. “The brave man is not only he who overcomes his enemies, but he who overcomes his pleasures.”
🟢 Ethical Insight: True courage includes self-control and the ability to resist harmful temptations.
🟢 Useful for: Temperance, self-discipline, integrity.
🗨 2. “It is better to correct your own faults than those of others.”
🟢 Ethical Insight: Ethical growth begins with honest self-assessment rather than judging others.
🟢 Useful for: Self-awareness, humility, ethical leadership.
🗨 3. “Happiness resides not in possessions, and not in gold, happiness dwells in the soul.”
🟢 Ethical Insight: Lasting well-being depends more on inner balance and virtue than on material wealth.
🟢 Useful for: Contentment, simple living, ethical use of resources.
🗨 4. “Do not trust all men, but trust men of worth.”
🟢 Ethical Insight: Sound judgment requires neither blind trust nor constant suspicion, but a careful assessment of character and evidence.
🟢 Useful for: Discretion, public accountability, decision-making.
🗨 5. “Good means not merely to refrain from doing wrong, but rather not to desire to do wrong.”
🟢 Ethical Insight: The highest morality comes when integrity is internalised, so ethical conduct flows from character rather than fear of punishment.
🟢 Useful for: Probity, conscience, ethical governance.
🗨 6. “The world is a stage; life is a passage; you came, you saw, and you departed.”
🟢 Ethical Insight: Awareness of life’s brevity encourages humility and purposeful action instead of excessive attachment to status.
🟢 Useful for: Detachment, humility, meaningful public service.
📌 UPSC CONCLUSION:
Democritus’s ethical reflections emphasise that true goodness begins within. For a civil servant, moral excellence means practising self-control, examining personal biases and doing what is right not merely to avoid punishment, but because it is right.

Some days you will bloom and some days you will grow roots,,, and both are important. You don't have to be perfect everyday.. just be a little better than yesterday.

Ever wondered while eating a pizza?
It comes in a square box but when we open it, it is round and when we start eating it, it's triangle....🍕🤔
Life and people are similar to a pizza. They feel different, appear different and behave different. You may know someone's name, understand their words, and still not know their nature.... 👀🧩
Knowing someone and understanding someone are two very different things. Never assume you've seen the whole picture just because you've seen one side....🤍✨

Sample question click here
Nothing can beat our determination when we truly want to achieve something. We may come up with multiple excuses for not showing up, but we need to ask ourselves: Are these really valid reasons, or are we simply lacking the determination to push beyond difficulties?
Is the fire that once burned within us, when we started, still alive? Or has it slowly faded with time?
If we are truly determined to achieve something, we must be willing to step beyond our comfort zone. It demands consistency. It demands discipline. And above all, it demands action.
Simply thinking about our goals will never change our lives. We have to show up every single day, even when we don't feel like it. Because in the end, it's not just about how passionately we start, but how consistently we keep going. 🌷✨️
The harder you work for something, the greater you'll feel when you achieve it. Success is no accident. It is hard work, perseverance, learning, studying, sacrifice, and most of all, love of what you are doing or learning to do.
Believe in yourself and all that you are. Know that there is something inside you that is greater than any obstacle. The future depends on what you do today. Work hard. 🤍🧿
*Interpretation:*
Bhagwan kehte hain ki insaan ko apne karmo ko bina phal kii ichha aur aasakti (attachment) se rahit hokar karna chahiye. Iske alawa hame naa toh apne achhe karm aur naa hii bure karm,, dono se hii attachment nahi honi chahiye.
Ek simple example,, jo khana parosne wala chammach hota hai voh bas apna karm karta hai yani bhojan parosna.. usko khane ka swaad nhi pta, voh na toh meethe se juda hai naa hii kadwe se. Insaan ko bhi kisi cheez ke prati moh aur attachment nahi jodna chahiye aur sirf apne karm par dhyaan dena chahiye.
Second example is of a person selling perfume. He sells various scents but does not use for himself... lekin phir bhi uski dukaan aur uske kapdon mein se uss scent ki khushboo aati hai.
Concluding,, bas apna karm karte raho, lekin unmein apna moh mat baandho. Agar karm bina attachments ke kiye jaaye toh vyaktitva svayam sugandhit ho jaata hai.

We may spend our days meaninglessly, without any clear purpose or direction, simply because we don't have a clear picture of what we want our future to look like. But if we sit silently with ourselves and examine our actions, we may realise that the way we are living today is completely opposite to the life we want to build in the future.
Everyone wants to secure a good position, achieve stability and become successful. But success is not the end of the journey. Even after achieving it, life demands discipline, consistency and a structured way of living. Growth is a continuous process, and these qualities remain essential throughout life.
So, ask yourself: If you cannot discipline yourself today or follow a proper schedule, how will you manage a future that demands even greater discipline and responsibility?
Cracking an exam or getting a placement is just one step towards the bigger picture. Every single day contributes to shaping the kind of life we will have in the future.
So, don't wait for the future to teach you the lessons you can learn today. Start training yourself now. Be disciplined, fix your schedule and do what needs to be done with consistency.
The life you dream of tomorrow demands the habits you build today.🌷✨

No amount of motivation can beat discipline. Discipline is the only thing that matters. The proof that you have worked hard , is going to materialise. Do not henceforth realise on temporary things. Work hard to build your empire brick by brick. Not so easy ,but through ruthless discipline. Even on bad days , on days when you think you can't , you still have to work , because you know only discipline can. To all those who think that some miracle will come and make things right , I'm sorry to disappoint you. There is no miracle but just discipline. You need to work hard and make things right for you. If you are ready to become that beast stay here . People who achieve it , are not lucky nor do they had any divinely power. There were just discipline enough. Even on times when most of us would probably give up. So make sure you do not betray yourself by giving half the efforts. To achieve something extraordinary, do not hesitate to give your extraordinary efforts to it. This is the only secret. Godspeed.
