🌲 - 🇱🇧 Today, Lebanon and the Maronite community mourn the passing of Father Touma Mhanna, a monk, a philosopher and a fighter whose life spanned more than nine decades of faith, struggle and hope.
Father Touma was devoted to the pursuit of truth. He earned a doctorate in philosophy in Rome with a thesis on the epistemological dimension of truth in the work of Avicenna.
He played a central role in the Lebanese Christian Resistance, organized meetings of the Front for Freedom and Man and helped sketch the vision of a new Lebanon.
May his legacy the blending of faith, thought, and resistance continue to inspire us.
