Sam Bankman-Fried was reportedly led out of a New York courtroom in handcuffs after alleged attempts to influence or intimidate witnesses in his criminal case. Judge Lewis Kaplan ordered Bankman-Fried’s bail revoked, suggesting he will be held in jail through the end of his two trials for fraud related to his activities at FTX: “In view of the evidence, my conclusion is that there is probable cause to believe that the defendant has attempted to tamper with witnesses at least twice,” said Kaplan, listing additional violations. “All things considered, I am going to revoke bail.”

Cryptocurrency-friendly trading neobank Revolut is wrapping up its crypto services in the United States amid ongoing regulatory uncertainty.

Worldcoin has no problem attracting eyeballs. More than 2.2 million people have signed up, getting their irises scanned in exchange for a digital ID and, in some countries, free crypto. Worldcoin says that it is "completely private", that its ID system is "designed to enable anonymous actions", no personal data is disclosed by default and that biometric images are not shared with Worldcoin unless a user chooses. It says it's working closely with regulators.

Being a decentralized stablecoin operating on the MultiversX blockchain, $USH is minted by users who provide collateral at a predetermined ratio. This process ensures the stability and value of $USH, backed by an assortment of solid assets. When these users either liquidate or repay their borrowed positions, the corresponding $USH is returned to the platform and effectively “burned”, or removed from circulation. This mechanism helps maintain the stablecoin's parity with the U.S. Dollar.

Proof of humanity protocol Worldcoin released its audit reports on July 28 as criticism of its data collection practices continues to mount. According to an accompanying announcement from Worldcoin, Nethermind found 26 security issues with the protocol, of which 24 were “identified as fixed” during the verification phase, while one was mitigated and another was acknowledged.
