A place for Aryan (European) Folkish Pagans
Speaking of modern subversions there was a relatively recent case of almost word for word Xenophanes’ criticism of Paganism. One about Odin supposedly being cucked. Tom Rowsell (Survive the Jive) responded to said criticism by basically saying that myth are not real, instead of pointing out that the source of this not being legitimate since it’s just a retelling of Odyssey with Germanic Gods just used as stand-ins.
STJ is also known for being a friend of platonism which is an Axial Age heresy greatly influenced by Xenophanes.
Make your own conclusions.
With anti ethnic faith attitude like that is it really any wonder that Xenophanes is respected by Islamists? He is indeed very similar to them in his views on non-anthropomorphic, universal divinity. Here’s an example of a hardcore Islamist’s perspective on Xenophanes https://www.strateias.org/xeno.htm
Читать полностью…According to Diogenes, Xenophanes wrote poetry “in epic meter, as well as elegiacs and iambics attacking Hesiod and Homer and denouncing what they said about the gods”. Keep in mind that the two were considered classics even by Ancient Greeks and any true Hellene knew both by heart.
But Xenophanes though himself better than Homer or Hesiod. He thought he alone understood the nature of the Gods and went against his people’s traditions. What was his criticism all about? Let’s take a look…
Got a deep dive into Axial Age heresies planned. The data is already compiled, I just need to write it. Will probably be ready tomorrow.

If you're venerating those who have no honor, you're missing the point. If you're honoring something to be edgy, you may never get the point.

You have to be fresh out of normie new age Facebook groups to actually believe that Loki worship is a legitimate belief.
Loki is literally the enemy of the Goðín. He ended up damned to the underworld with his mouth sewn shut.
There is absolutely no solid evidence that he was ever worshipped in the ancient world.
No legitimate heathen group will tolerate Loki worship around them.
The only ones that do are abject uni heretics who have dubbed him the patron of troons and niðing.
The ending is fittingly grand and is full of major events forever changing the world of the Chronicles.

The ending compensates for most of it, but not all.

Lets get back to Xenophanes’ criticism of Homer and Hesiod. According to his both poets as well as the Hellenic tradition itself. Did not depict Gods as perfect ideas they should be. In myth they they can act, at times emotionally, they can die and be born etc. Xenophanes saw that as false. It’s the criticism Plato will parrot later as well as many anti-Pagans today.
Читать полностью…Xenophanes criticized traditional ethnic religions for…having traditional ethnic Gods! He wrote that:
Ethiopians say that their gods are snub-nosed and black;
Thracians that theirs are are blue-eyed and red-haired.
Indeed Ethiopoan Gods are Ethiopian and Thracian ones are Thracian. Today it’s called ethnic religions and once it was the only type, but thanks to Xenophanes and other subverters this is no longer the case as we see people all over the world praying to a jewish rabbi. Yet the latter often cope hard about him actually being a member of their race, which shows that ethnic spirituality is just natural to humans.
In my analysis of Axial Age I decided to start with Xenophanes. The latter was one of the first traitors who went against the Gods and led to abrahamic monotheism. Let's start with Xenophanes’ biography. Of all things we know about the man there is one fact of crucial importance. Xenophanes was a reject of the Hellenic society. Diogenes Laërtius wrote that he was “banished from his native city”. In Xenophanes’ own words he “tossed about the Greek land”.
A wondering subversive shun from home, he travelled as a poet. In fact poetry was the reason he got exiled.

Everyone agrees that there was never any cult of Loki.

There is no evidence of [Loki's] worship among men.

[Loki] had no discernable place in pagan religion.

There is nothing to suggest that Loki was ever worshipped.

There was no cult of Loki, and place-names based on his name are equally unknown.

GOIBNIU:
In Celtic Mythology, Goibniu is the Smithing God of the Tuatha Dé Danann. He is mainly associated with Strength, Hospitality, War, Remembrance and Feasting!
Goibniu also acts as a Hospitaller, who furnishes Feasts for the Gods themselves! - According to the Acallam na Senórach and Altram Tige Dá Medar, the Feast of Goibniu was bestowed upon the Warriors of the Tuatha Dé Danann to protect them from Sickness and Decay! — He is said to be the Owner of the Glas Gaibhnenn, the Magical Cow of Abundance, which in Surviving Folklore also has a Magical Bridle for the Cow.
Goibniu is often grouped together with Credne the Silversmith and Luchta the Carpenter as the Trí Dée Dána (Three Gods of Art
), who Forged the Weapons which the Tuath Dé used to battle the Fomorians.
@CelticPagans
Imagine a person so weak, they're afraid of using the symbols of our faith.
Likewise, for those that are afraid of following our traditions & beliefs.
The only ones we strive to impress are the Gods and Ancestors.
If someone's faith is only to impress other people (most of whom aren't believers), can you genuinely call them Pagan?
Meanwhile...
