Those who consider atheism a product of modernity should study history, especially (but not exclusively) of Ancient Greece. Take the case of a 5th c. philosopher Diagoras of Melos. He was branded an atheist after saying that since iniquity and injustice exist Gods don’t. In other words, he judged the Gods like other philosophers did before and after him. But unlike most Diagoras went even further since on top of slanderous words he committed other crimes. Most notably Diagoras used an idol of Herakles as firewood telling the God to perform his 13th labour by cooking turnips. A reward was offered for killing Diagoras but he managed to escape.

There are several circumstances in which human beings might be ritually slain where it was not common, or even conceivable, to kill animals: the slaying or suicide of wives or concubines on their husbands' graves (suttee); the killing of slaves to accompany or serve their masters after death; and vengeance killing or execution carried out during funerals. Indeed there are many possible occasions for the ritual slaying of human victims, and it would be erroneous and misleading to group all forms of ritual killing of humans together under the term 'human sacrifice'.

Sheep and cattle, it appears, could be offered to any gods among the Greeks. As regards swine and goats, the regulations varied according to the different regions. Swine were sacrificed especially to Demeter and Dionysus, goats to the last named divinity and to Apollo and Aromis as well as Aphrodite, while they were excluded from the service of Athene, and it was only at Sparta that they were presented to Hera. At Epidaurus they might not be sacrificed to Asclepius, though elsewhere this was done without scruple.
Part of the spoils of the chase-such as the antlers or fell of the stag, or the head and feet of the boar or the bear-was offered to Artemis Agrotera.

Many western orthobros don’t know that ROC (Moscow Patriarchate) was created by Stalin on the 4th of September in 1943 in an effort to gain more control over the population which was loosing faith in communism due to the war. To this day the church and state are run by the same people with the same goals.

For those who don’t know it’s a counter to a famous russian left meme about supposedly great race-mixing Russian Empire as opposed to nazi homogenic Ukraine. Was very popular a few years ago, even shared by some perrenialists since they have yellow fewer too and think interbreeding with Asians is based if done by a man. Remember an edit with a scythian man instead of a russian.

Germanic hieroglyphs?? 👀

Many folk know of the runes, the magical writing system of the north. Academic types will claim that the Germanic "stole" this writing system from their enemies the Romans, making Voluspa invalid. But is that really the truth?

These are the glyphs from the 'Golden Horns of Gallehus' one of which has a classic runic inscription on the rim, whilst the other does not, but both contain strange pictograms that don't make sense at first glance.

On this channel we have talked several times about how written language starts as pictorials (hieroglyphs) and becomes more abstract over time. The greek language is a great example of this, Linear A hieroglyphs simplify into Linear B abstract glyphs (heiratic if you will) which abstract further into an alphabetic script.

Is it possible that these horns preserve the prior form of the runes, germanic hieroglyphs if you will? If that is indeed the case it would disprove the atheist roman letter hypothesis and reveal new discoveries into the runes.

There is good reason to believe that a warrant went out for Christ’s arrest...an old Slavonic text was discovered that recorded a description Josephus gave of a wanted man that the Jewish leaders were hunting down in the first half of the first century. It reads as follows: “[Wanted]...a man of simple appearance, mature age, dark skin, small stature, three cubits high [very short, under five feet], hunchbacked with a long face, long nose, and meeting eyebrows, so that they who see him might be affrightened, with scanty hair with a parting in the middle of his head, after the manner of the Nazarites, and with an undeveloped beard.”

Split-level Christianity

This term represents the co-existence within the same culture of two or more thought-and-behavior systems that are inconsistent with each other. As Jaime Bulatao explains, a split-level Christian professes allegiance to ideas, attitudes and models characteristics of the Christian West and at the same time he or she holds convictions which are properly his or her "own" ways of living and believing inherited from local ancestors…

I've never liked christianity and christians, despised and hated their religious views. They are damn liars. No man can follow all the commandments listed in the Bible, not only because most christian just don’t know them, but also because they are impossible to follow, therefore a man who declares himself a christian automatically becomes a liar.

In a story from Aristodemus' Collection of Myths, an oracle proclaimed that a plague besetting Sparta would cease if a maiden of noble birth should be sacrificed each year. One year the lot fell to Helen, and she was led forth to be sacrificed. But an eagle swooped down, snatched away the sacrificial knife, carried it off to the cattle herds, and dropped it on a heifer; the heifer was substituted for the human victim, and henceforth they refrained from virgin killing.

Human sacrifices as a means of expiation were not unknown to the earliest Greek and Roman worship, and continued in certain cases (e.g. at the feast of the Lyman Zeus and of Jupiter Latiaris) until the imperial period; however, where they continued to exist, criminals who were in any case doomed to death were selected, and in many places opportunity was further given them for escape.

Zoroaster and his spiritual descendants, Jesus, Mahomet, and many less successful Saviours, made of the world a vast battleground on which Ahura Mazda and Angra Mainyu (under these or other names) are waging a perpetual war for dominion, over the whole world, and since the two almost omnipotent deities somehow need men to fight for them, every human being must necessarily take part in the desperate war for the world, and if he does not fight for the good god, he is serving the evil one.
It becomes the duty of every "righteous" man to preach the new gospel to all the world, as was done by Zoroaster and his disciples, but when the evil god’s troops are so perversely obdurate to rhetoric that they will not desert their commander, they must be destroyed.

Growing up in Romania and later in serving as an evangelical minister, I experienced first hand this split-level Christianity (double allegiance) of the Romanians between Christianity and local folk beliefs and practices…while going to school in the 1970's and 80' s during the period of communist rule and ideology, my friends and I were taught that God does not exist, that religion is only a "crutch for the poor and uneducated," and that socialism will create the perfect society. However, at home our parents, relatives, and neighbors taught us that God does exist, that praying to Him is beneficial, and that we as Romanians are a Christian nation. Yet, they also taught us that each one's fate is decided at birth by Fairies, that Friday the 13 is a bad luck day, or to turn back if a black cat cuts across our way, and other such superstitions, as well as that different people have the ability to communicate with the souls of dead people, bind or unbind misfortunes, and predict the future.
