I celebrate the powers of Pallas Athena, the protectress of the city:
Dread, as Ares, She busies herself with the works of war,
With the sack of cities, with the battle-cry and with the combats.
It is She also who saves the fighters that go to war and come back alive.
Hail, Goddess, give us good fortune and happiness!

On this day in 686, the last pagan Anglo Saxon kingdom, Wihtwara, fell.
Wihtwara was invaded by Wulfhere of Mercia in 661, yet paganism endured, until Cædwalla of Wessex invaded in 686. King Arwald died in battle in the initial invasion, along with the majority of the island’s inhabitants. His sons escaped to the Ytene Forest, but were eventually captured and forced to convert to Christianity before being put to the sword, severing the royal line of Wihtwara. They were collectively canonized as “Saint Arwald”.
But, according to local folklore, one of his sons escaped from his captors and threw himself onto a fallen tree, impaling himself. With his last breath, he dedicated his death to Woden.
Undoubtedly burdened by his abominable actions, Cædwalla made a pilgrimage to Rome to be formally baptized, where he died of his injuries sustained during the invasion. May he rot in Wyrmsele. What’s really funny is because he hadn’t yet been baptized when he invaded Wihtwara, many claimed he was a Pagan to further emphasize Saint Arwald’s canonization.
On “Saint” Arwald’s Feastday, I instead remember the conviction of our ancestors, choosing a dignified death over dishonour.

Religion and politics

Some say "Stop bringing politics into religion!". This is nonsense. Historically the two were never separated. Religion dictated the tradition politics tried to preserve. Politics supported the religion so that it would never crumble under the inner or outer threat.

The idea of separating politics and religion is a modern one. Even today there is no truly secular countries. We still end up having sacred texts (e.g. Constitution), laws based on moral tradition, a separate class of those who defy said laws and traditions etc. It is religious.

Politics without religion are baseless. Religion without politics is weak.

Good points raised by Aryan Paganism on the status of modern Gothi. In a time of broken initiation by authority, we as modern priests need to look to other means. Wisdom is foundational in this, and it will take a lifetime to become truly wise, to then initiate others.

If you know a Gothi, one who is truly dedicating their life to service to the Gods; support them. For every ten shills, one may be a true custodian of the faith.

Only time will tell - it is the arbiter of all things.

How Ivan tricked the jews
Hutsul tale

While traveling Ivan came with his horse to stay the night at the jew’s house. But the jew neither shared food with him, nor let inside. Ivan payed and the jew allowed him to sleep at the stable with his horse. Both Ivan and his horse were hungry. He had some coins left and threw them into the horse’s dung. The jew rose early and said:
—Wake up, Ivan, how long are you going to stay here?
—I payed, but you didn’t give me and my horse any food. The horse can make money and I’ve got to collect them.
Ivan began gathering the coins and the jew was watching.
—Sell this horse to me.
—You don’t have this much money.
—There’s plenty of money. We will gather.
Ivan said he wants a hat of gold. All the jews gathered a hat of gold for him. They gave it to Ivan, he left them the horse and left.

Paganism sacralizes and thereby exalts this world whereas Judeo-Christian monotheism sanctifies and thereby retreats from this world

Legends, which in the etymological sense are what one should pass on, are only the symbols of a traditional truth transported from one generation to the next.

Although somewhat battered by centuries of rejection if not outright combat, this Western tradition exists and is perfectly youthful and ready to nourish those who are able to ask. True, this requires a certain amount of effort, a personal search, a quest even, at the end of which one has no certainty of discovering the mysterious entrance to the castle of the Grail. It is so much simpler to lean on a normalized, hierarchical institution that provides every guarantee, one that is very comforting because it is so well established.

How christian was Europe? Adam of Bremen, being a priest, was biased, but still had to admit the facts:

all its inhabitants still blunder about in pagan rites. Otherwise, so far as morals and hospitality are concerned, a more honorable or kindlier folk cannot be found.

Slavs and the Swedes still appear to observe in their pagan rites

everyone who now believed would quickly relapse into paganism

Kindly received by the Slavs, contrary to his expectations, because they were pagans

The Snoldelev Stone is a 9th-century runestone that was originally located at Snoldelev, Ramsø, Denmark.

It is 1.25 meters in height and is decorated with painted scratches depicting a design of three drinking horns as well as a swastika.

The inscription on the Snoldelev Stone shows an early version of the Younger Futhark. Like the late Elder Futhark Björketorp Runestone, it uses an a-rune, which has the same form as the h-rune has in the long-branch version of the younger futhark. The Snoldelev runestone also retains the elder futhark hagalaz rune
for the h-phoneme. Another feature from the elder futhark is the use of the ansuz rune, which is here specifically used to symbolize a long nasal a, often transcribed as "á" which is similar but not identical to its Scandinavian descendant "å". The last character in the runic text is damaged, but is clearly a maðr rune and represents the first use of this rune for an 'm' in Denmark.

I don't care about the recent dalai lama scandal. buddhism was always a universalistic cult just like christianity which is why it became one of major world religions. Ultimately they all serve the same masters.
Real religions are ethnically exclusive. Everything else is subversion.
