Can you tell me who those are whom Homer in his poems denominates Jove-begotten, resembling the gods, shepherd of the people, and whom he called by such other names as it is likely a poet would employ in celebrating the virtue of a man? Are they such as labouring in the earth with the spade and the harrow, are skilled in ploughing and planting, are dexterous in gathering in the crop, and elegantly arranging the vine?
Maximus Tyrius
-Now, Toxaris: do you mean to tell me that you people actually sacrifice to Orestes and Pylades? Do you take them for Gods?
-Sacrifice to them? Of course we do. It does not follow that we think they are Gods: they were good men.
-And in Scythia "good men" receive sacrifice just the same as Gods?
-Not only that, but we honour them with feasts and public gatherings.
-But what do you expect from them? They are shades now, so their goodwill can be no object.
-Why, as to that, I think it may be just as well to have a good understanding even with shades. But that is not all: in honouring the dead we consider that we are also doing the best we can for the living. Our idea is that by preserving the memory of the noblest of mankind, we induce many people to follow their example.
Lucian
The Egyptians are husbandmen, the Scythians are warriors: the Scythians are brave, the Egyptians cowards. The Scythian nation is free, the Egyptian enslaved. The Assyrians are agriculturalists, the Persians warriors: the Assyrians are slaves, the Persians possess royal authority. The Lydians were formerly soldiers, and afterwards became husbandmen. When they were free they fought, when they were slaves they turned their attention to agriculture
Maximus of Tyre
Snorri, in the passage cited earlier where he calls Odin ‘father of all gods and men’, states that Iorð, Earth, was his daughter and his wife. As we have said, Odin cannot be directly identified as a sky-god: rather he has stepped into an older scheme in which the Sky became father of gods and men in marriage to the Earth.
Another Germanic echo of the myth is to be seen in that Old English ploughing prayer, also cited earlier, where Earth, addressed as mother of men, is exhorted to become fertile––that is, pregnant––on Godes fæþme, in God’s embrace.

It is believed that there live Tuatha De Danaan, the peoples of the goddess Dana, already lords of Ireland before the arrival of the Gaels. Their universe, however, has nothing comparable to the gloomy districts of the Erebus: the landscapes are bathed by the same sun, you can breathe the same air, you breed the same flocks, you live the same life as that universe above the surface of the earth. To be honest, the Other World of the Celts is nwither above, nor below; it is elsewhere, to the side. And it is often possible to enter it, as the inhabitants of the Other World can come to the human world. The frontier is sometimes difficult to specify.

These functions were important to the community and to its ruler (or whoever was the poet’s patron), especially as he and/or his ancestors were principal beneficiaries of the finely formed public praises that the poet could bestow or withhold. And such services could not be performed by any Tom, Dick, or Harry. They called for special knowledge, skill, and training.
Consequently a master poet enjoyed a high status, and in some cases felt able to address his prince or patron almost as an equal.

The Battle of Telamon, 225 B.C. Art by Wayne Reynolds.
This battle took place near Talamone, in Tuscany, Italy. 🇮🇹 War broke out after Roman colonization projects encroached on Gallic lands in northern Italy. The Italian Gauls launched the first offensive with an army that included the Gaesatae, mercenaries from the Swiss Alps, known for fighting as “naked fanatics”. They defeated a Roman army at the Battle of Faesulae, but were then caught between two larger armies led by consuls L. Aemilius Papus & G. Atilius Regulus. Outnumbered and surrounded, they put up a heroic fight to the death and inflicted mass casualties on the Romans; the consul Regulus was among the slain, while the Gaesatae leader Concolitanus was wounded and captured. Some of the Gaesatae managed to break through the Roman lines. When overtaken later and surrounded by Roman cavalry, they all committed suicide rather than surrender, including their leader Aneroëstes.

For when you hear Ulysses extolling Ithica as: "rough, but the nurse of valiant men" he knew, as being a wise man, how much the fruits of valor surpassed those of wheat or barley, or any other nutritious production of the earth.
Maximus Tyrius
But those blessed men whom he delights to praise are very different characters, and engaged in very different pursuits and works, such as Achilles pursuing, or Ajax engaged in single combat; Teucer discharging his arrows; or Diomede conquering; or some other of those that are skilled in strenuous contention.

Proceed to animals: for here also you will behold liberty and slavery, and a life consisting from virtue and bonds. The ox ploughs, the horse contends: but if you change their works you will act illegally again nature. Timid animals feed on grass, bold animals hunt. The stag feeds of grass, the lion hunts. Jackdaws gather seeds, eagles hunt. But those animals that gather seed and live on grass are slaves, while those that hunt are free.

Airón is considered one of the most ancient gods in the Iberian Peninsula. Because of his relation to wells and the bottom of lakes and lagoons, he is considered as a guardian of the Otherworld. While Nabia is the one who guides the souls of the dead, Airón is the one who decided if he would let them in or not. He is also linked to waters and vegetation which also leads to agriculture and healing waters. Lastly, he could be identified with snakes and serpents that live in the muddy bottoms of lakes and lagoons. There are numerous legends that talk about people being dragged to the bottoms of lakes and wells to be sent to the Otherworld for their recklessness, being transported to the world of the dead, which some have related to human sacrifice.
Recently ordered myself a nice idol. Will definitely post a review as well as some analysis of the iconography when I get it.

Without Christianity we'd all be raping and killing each other.' Well, we are raping and killing each other as it is. The fact of the matter is that before the dominance of Christianity, Europeans kept that sort of thing pretty much under control through the ways communities were set up. They had rules that made sense in terms of their survival and way of life, and the rules were enforced, and more or less people respected the rules."

Читать полностью…Just so you are all aware, the FBI is actively targetting traditionalist Catholics as "terrorists". You can be guaranteed that they're doing the same thing to Heathens and pagans of any kind of a nationalist, right-wing, folkish, etc. inclination.
We would urge you all to heed this with caution. Those who end up entrapped by the FBI will be those who fall for very low-intelligence ops. If there is someone new to your group, or an established member, acting scetchy or asking for specific information about members, or who is suggesting obviously illegal acts, or who is promoting a very thrall-level ideology/aesthetic/or set of behaviors, be aware that that person may be an undercover operative or an informant.
These are not new tactics; they've been in use for decades. Awareness could save your life.
There is nothing wrong or illegal in promoting Heathen religion, pro-White messaging, or group activity; all of these are protected acts and rights under the 1st Amendment. Understand though that we are in a cultural and legal battle at all times with the most corrupt forces in this country. Having a head on your shoulders when you speak and act could save you from imprisonment, thousands or hundreds of thousands of dollars in legal fees, the harassment of your family, the doxxing of your identity, and many other ramifications.
The tide is turning, and these terror tactics by state agencies are having less effect these days, but a level of danger does persist.
The flaxen haired maidens of the north are trained in sports and war, while our gentle ladies are content to do their womanly duties and thus are less powerful than most young girls from Gaul and the hinterlands.
