Читать полностью…Dvoedushnik (lit. one with two souls) is a person born with two souls, a good and an evil one. While a dvoedushnik is asleep, the evil soul leaves the body to harm people. The other soul can take a form of a wolf, dog, cat etc. (even inanimate objects). While the other soul is wandering it is impossible to wake up a dvoedushnik. If one changes the position of the sleeping body, then the soul will not be able to return, and dvoedushnik will die. During the day, their behavior is mostly normal since dvoedushniks don’t remember what the second soul does while they asleep.

For this reason none of you may presume to kiss a woman, be it widow, young girl, mother, sister, aunt or any other; and henceforth the Knighthood of Jesus Christ should avoid at all costs the embraces of women, by which men have perished many times, so that they may remain eternally before the face of God with a pure conscience and sure life.
The Primitive Rule of the Templars
Translation of the original Rule of the Templars
For fifteen centuries, enormous numbers of male Aryans were herded into the church, both as priests and as monastics, to blight their masculinity with homosexuality and perversion, mitigated only by the chance of furtive adulteries.

↟ Glaðr Ljóssi - Glad Lucia ↟
❄️ Today, the 13th of December we celebrate a very old tradition here in Scandinavia originally called Ljóssi - "Lucia". At the darkest time of the year here in our pre-Christian North, we had a tradition that was linked to light, darkness and the course of the year. The tradition was also often called "Mother Night" and is celebrated just a few days before the wheel is turning - the Winter Solstice.
❄️ Lucia is a tradition held to welcome the return of the light and is a symbol of a light-bringing female. Earlier back in the days, women of each tribe climbed the highest hill or mountain in the area dressed in white and light to watch the horizon for a sign of the light returning. This has it's original origins from the pagan light-goddesses Frigg and Sól - Sunna, and the red belt around the waist of Lucia symbolize fertility...- continues in comment below! ⬇️

Trees are as close to immortality as the rest of us ever come.
K.J. Fowler
There’s a Slovak tale about a werewolf who had nine daughters. He killed the eldest eight but as he was chasing the ninth one the clever girl took her headscarf off and said: "You won’t catch me until you tear this scarf apart, until you split it into thin threads and then weave and spin it back." The werewolf completed this difficult task and began chasing the girl. She then repeated the same words taking off her dress, mantle, blouse, shirt and escaped the terrible death naked.

Make The Gentiles Obedient
"Esaias [11:1] saith, 'There shall be a root of Jesse, and he that shall rise to reign over the Gentiles; in him shall the Gentiles trust.' That I should be the minister of Jesus Christ to the Gentiles, ministering the gospel of God. To make the Gentiles obedient, by word and deed; so that from Jerusalem, and round about unto Illyricum, I have fully preached the gospel of Christ." — Romans 15:12,16,18,19
This can hardly be interpreted any differently than the Jewish scriptures predicting the coming of a Jewish Messiah who shall gain the trust of the non-Jews, reign over them, and make them obedient to their God; who is nothing but a manifestation of their will. And Paul—the Jew [Acts 22:3] who wrote the Epistle to the Romans—fulfilled the prophecy through preaching the gospel of Christ.
The image shows one of many Christian depictions of the Tree of Jesse with Jesus at the apex, proving their belief in the prophecy.

Any religious philosophy which claims that humans are slaves to the divine runs counter to the spirit and practice of Asatru. When we speak to the Gods, we never use postures or gestures symbolizing inferiority or submission. The clasped hands of Christianity, in which the wrists are presented to be bound by the slave-knot, is alien to us. Similarly, the bowing of the Muslim and the prostrations of the Buddhists are not our way.

Tradition-directed people hardly think of themselves as individuals; their conduct is determined by folk rituals handed down from the past.

It is the romantic idea that a Viking has to die with his sword in hand so he can go to Valhalla, Odin’s hall. This is not quite what our ancestral faith taught—gripping a sword is not a prerequisite to Valhalla—but a brave death would certainly improve one’s chances of being chosen for this honor.
Our lore makes it clear that Valhalla is for the elite.
We also read of men who entered into the hills to be with their ancestors after dying. Others led a life in the grave mound that was in some ways much like their earthly life had been. There are even hints of reincarnation in the lore.

Vasily is equally dismissive of the talking skull, the sacred river and the mystic slab. He is fearless and has no authority, be it the government or some higher powers. Buslaev doesn’t care.

Frederick the Great, Goethe and Schiller, Fichte, Kleist, and Hebbel were outstanding figures until the revolt of German from Christianity reached its culmination in Nietzsche.

Interestingly enough the only media depiction of a dvoedushnik concept I know was in Irish animated film Wolfwalkers (2020) even though it’s not Slavic.

Defiance is at the core of Vasily’s character. Even though Vasily is a rare example of a bylina hero who dies in the end he is not defeated.
His death is a conscious choice. Vasily was warned and still stubbornly stayed true to himself which is why I don’t consider Buslaev to be a tragic hero.
Vasily’s murder of the priest is noteworthy because it helps establish that he completely disregards any form of authority be it secular or sacred.
