There are lots of things I don't get about life - lots of things I don't get about the Good Book, either.
But I still can't help but be mesmerized by how the stories are just so down-to-earth.
I don't have to stretch that far to see how I can relate.
And then comes My Jesus

We were walking the other day on the same road we had walked some couple of years ago. And I was tracing our steps, and to my delight our shoe marks fit the traces we left behind back then.
I don't know if you have realised that. I am glad we didn't grow out our shoe sizes, I am glad we haven't 'changed'.
I think of what I have paid to keep it this way.
I would like to think myself as a ghost investor, I would like to hope you will never recognize my currency. Couse the minute people realise their worth, am afraid they will change and their shoes won't fit anymore.
But I would like us to have more of this walk.
And I want it to look so plain.
Plain as it really is.

Although it is undeniably noble to some extent, I am thinking determination to keep ones opinion or stance is overrated. It really is leaving us no room to make sensible and evidence based opinion shifts.
We tend to make statues out of our opinions. And we humans have a funny history of idolising our very own handiworks. They immediately start feeling bigger than the hands which made them. I can't lie, there is something overwhelmingly captivating about that. And before we know it, we are making our own mini gods. I mean like, a lot of them!
But even statues get demolished
and sculptures get smashed.
Hey, it is okay to change opinions.
It is okay to change your mind.
May your loyality always be to the truth and the truth only.

It is funny how when people ask who made the first move in our story, you proudly point to yourself
But I got a different narrative on that particularly
When I think about it now,
I can say we were the same kind of people in a way
None of us were willing to come half way
I was comfortable at my end
And you were comfortable at your end
It was like both of us sitting at the opposite ends of a seesaw
Balancing out one another in our comfort zone
without really knowing it
I can't speak for you
But I waited, out of ego
I waited, out of stubbornness
I waited, out of fear of the unknown
I waited at my end
I waited solemnly
And you know how when you don't move around and you don't exercise, you start putting on 'em pounds like a warm blanket
So it took what it took
But I finally managed to tip the seesaw
And you came right at me wearing your heart on your sleeves
I gotta say, you looked dorky
So now I hear you tell how you came all the way while I stayed at my end without flinching
