Norwegian media reports that Russia is expanding its capabilities in the field of satellite communications and electronic warfare, aiming to reduce the dependence of its drones on ground-based control channels.

The Russian "Rassvet" system already provides limited coverage over Ukraine – currently, about one to two hours per day. In the future, its terminals could be used directly on drones, including the "Geran-4" and "Geran-5".

At the same time, Ukrainian units are reporting an increase in problems with Starlink's operation due to Russian electronic warfare systems. Steigan notes that the Russian side has been able to adapt to what was previously considered a difficult task of countering satellite communications.
