DDR5 Ram has gotten really cheap..

a 32GB DDR5 kit is even cheaper than what DDR4 was in 2021 lol.

I have currently the following configuration in mind :

• 7950x
• 4080 S
• 128GB RAM 6000mhz
• x670E wifi
• 1000w 80+ PSU
• 240MM AIO
• Fractal torrent (if the budget exceeds then maybe Lian li lancool / 4000D air )

As in cutting down on the render time.

Yes we do have a little difference in the performance, but as per this discussion the 15k price difference isn't worth the performance upgrade. will be better off investing it somewhere else, right ?

Is there any other processor I can buy around 60k inr ?
I might be able to stretch the budget a little, but I am looking at using it for medium-somewhat high end projects (if not very high end) with dense vegetation etc.

Like if there is an opportunity in the future I would not want to miss it because my system cannot handle it.

So I am a little skeptical.

(Also, the current difference between 7950x and x3d is around 7-8k INR)

Hey,
I am also looking to upgrade my system in the next 2-3 months and was considering 9950X over 7950X3D
The price difference is around 10k INR.

Not planning to upgrade for the next 3 years.

Do you still feel going for 7950x3d would be a better choice?

you cant expect to install a MAC dmg installer into iOS. just like how you cant install EXE installer in Android.android needs apk.. unless you remove android and install windows in it..

At what speed are you using the ram? Afaik, it doesn't boost beyond 3600mhz when using 4 planks 👀

Even if Intel was good and available now. Wouldn't recommend it. If you wanted to upgrade to next generation. You would need to buy a whole new motherboard.

With the AMD AM5, you can push upto the generation available in 2027 and push till 2030 or later. I think the next Ryzen 11,000 series or the 2nd upcoming gen in 2027 will be atleast 50-80% faster. If not 2X. So it will be good upgrade.

Your processor doesn't decide the size of scene it can handle, your RAM does.

7950X and 14900K were the highest end in the market. And Intel is out of order now.. so there is no other processor.

7950x is literally the best value chip for the money(for rendering)

Get 7950X instead of X3D. You will save 15K.. the 3D v-cache doesn't help in productivity. It's good for gaming performance. x3d performs worse than 7950x in rendering scores.

Also, There is only about 12-15% performance different between 7950x and 9950x.. the extra 15k isn't worth it. The 9000 series sales are very poor due to the same reason. It's not a worthy upgrade..

The AM5 socket will be supported till 2027.. you can get the latest generation launched in 2027 and get almost double the performance and then push it another 3-4 years till 2030
