we should probably make an online library, because nobody have that much space on their drive for these assets

Hey, I've noticed a lot of tutorials use Corona Mix instead of the regular Composite map. Is there a big difference between them, or do they just use it 'cause it's more Corona-friendly?
Читать полностью…That's what you always do, unless you have huge amount of RAM or you need to do walkthrough animation renders.
Even that can be made into pieces by having cuts in the video.
You don't want the whole building and all the stuff in it which is invisible to camera loading into RAM, to render just 1 room scene...
You can either hide everything outside of camera view Or make different scenes
Lot of reasons, low on RAM , lot of displacements, corrupt mesh..

Error : Error building Embree static ray caster, error message: [CommitEmbreeThread::threadProc] 4: Committing scene failed
You have a gazillion seperate lights. Each lightmix layer needs extra RAM. either group the lights and choose "by group" OR if they are instance. Choose "by instance" in lightmix settings..
If there is some corruption in the file, reimport to empty scene and render..
Clean your scene using scene cleaner startup script and install Autodesk scene security tools. Then open the new scene.
how to fix the slow render not shown image properly
Читать полностью…That's a polygon/edge shading issue. Guess you booleaned the door opening. You will have wierd edges after that. You have to add smooth mod after Boolean.
Читать полностью…Bah all modern cpus do somewhat oc by themselves, improvement is pretty much little, that is in my experience, I'd say <10% or less.
That said if it works, don't touch it. Especially if you don't know what are you doing. Like you don't cap your cpu at 80C and then complain why is is slow.
Also, with nowadays cpus, playing with oc or power settings won't give you any tangible difference in most use cases.
Ie it's time wasted between instability and playing with settings. Shillertubers do it for content where they can bloat with ads
Maybe it's faster in corona than composite map..test it yourself.. make some complex map mixing and test with both.
composite is convenient when mixing more than 2 maps anyways.
Yes a lesson for the future! Thanks for the advice.
Читать полностью…Yes it turns out it is RAM problem, I split each scene to a file and it worked out.
Thank you!
Hello everyone, I am having the following issue when rendering with VRay.
The render is ending in 2 minutes with black screen, I don't think it even reaches light calculations. However when I use interactive rendering everything works fine.
Would appreciate any solutions.
It's still in initial pass stage.
Search solution for slow initial pass..
Well I do suggest you make the best of your money...over clocking and undervolting gives great results. Bumps clocks, gives better speed and undervolting gives better temps..
Even 15-20% bump in rendering scores/speed will add up to several hours saved when Rendering 100's of frames..
But not with Intel 13th 14th gen... Even if you have a K version...
Just set the value to defaults. Don't touch BIOS. Let the BIOS update decide the values.. don't even use Intel XPU software, don't undervolt.. don't do anything. Just install latest available BIOS and go on.
If the CPU dies and they find you messed with BIOS, enabled disabled some shit... They won't accept RMA/refund...
With the Intel situation that's going on, just playing safe is better choice..
