The new vfb and physical material setup kinda confusing tbh. I really like the old corona way. Its easy to setup, and easier to get photorealism.

Yes, I know it's the same team. My comments only reflect my dissatisfaction as a long-time Corona user. In my opinion, I think Corona's render had a much better GI than Vray for Archviz, but now I think the opposite. GI is using up more memory, sometimes crashing the interactive VFB, I don't like the current noise cleaning, and other bugs that didn't happen before. I think that currently 3ds Max 24.1 and Corona 9 are the best.

Not much has changed when I convert from Vray to Corona, but instead of giving an error, it exports without giving any warnings and the material ends up being wrong.

In addition to Vray working better with Vantage, I think Vray is always presenting tools that add to the workflow and make a difference.

Corona, on the other hand, has recently presented more irrelevant tools, which you could do with basic knowledge using tools that already exist in the program.

Before Chaos bought Corona, they were bringing a lot of new stuff and were always showing new important features, just evolving, but since many versions now it seems to be slowing down.

Don't get me wrong and I don't want to cause any arguments, but as I said, this is just the opinion of a user who is unhappy with the evolution of Corona.

I don't know why the company doesn't kill Corona once and for all. It's getting worse. It would be fairer for Chaos to tell everyone to migrate to Vray instead of making Corona worse each version.

Yeah,still can happen. either the downloaded file is corrupted on your side or the uploader themselves uploaded corrupted files.

Just download the installer from Chaosgroup site.

No, you can't get the same quality, obviously., vantage still doesn't support most of corona maps.

It doesn't support half the features of vray itself.and it supports half as much as it supports vray. So, you can think where it stands.

Even if it does support, you can't expect same quality as an offline engine.

You can still get decent results if you use 100% PBR workflow without special maps.. just depends on "your" level of quality you are looking for.

Go watch their videos on chaos YT channel, you can see the quality...

Hey... it's solved.....If someone has the similar problem in the future, there will be a TEMP3D folder in the C drive. Open the DazToMax.xml file in notepad, go to line 47...... and change "<default>" to "&lt;default&gt;" If you replace and save, it will be done.

Yeah. The new Corona VFB is just a skin over the old one, with misplaced buttons 😒 V-Ray's VFB 2.0 was way more featureful, which makes it worth adapting to its new interface
