Create this shape using spline…
Use the Lathe modifier selecting the right axis to complete the model and convert to editable poly…
Create a rectangle and extrude very thinly…
Duplicate the extruded rectangle (x20) and attach all together…
Place the rectangles perpendicular to the modeled shape and in it…
Select the previously modeled shape and select boolean from the command panel and use the intersection operator
model the shape first
make a thin plate, array it
boolean intersection the shape on the arrayed object
