Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Security Consultant with deep expertise in deploying and managing Microsoft Sentinel in enterprise environments. The ideal candidate will possess comprehensive knowledge of enterprise-scale security architecture, particularly in designing, implementing, and optimizing Microsoft Sentinel for robust security monitoring, threat detection, and incident response. This role requires not only technical proficiency in Kusto Query Language (KQL), Data Collection Endpoints (DCE), and Data Collection Rules (DCR) but also a strategic mindset to help our clients improve their overall security posture.
The Security Consultant will also play a critical role in defining and implementing Azure Role-Based Access Control (RBAC), ensuring the correct security permissions are applied across Azure resources.
Qualifications:
3+ years of experience in security consulting, with a focus on cloud security and enterprise-scale environments.
Proven expertise in deploying and managing Microsoft Sentinel in enterprise settings, including advanced configuration for log ingestion, alerting, and incident response.
Strong proficiency in Kusto Query Language (KQL) for creating complex queries, analytics rules, and custom dashboards in Sentinel.
Hands-on experience with Data Collection Endpoints (DCE) and Data Collection Rules (DCR) in large-scale, multi-source data environments.
Extensive knowledge of Azure Role-Based Access Control (RBAC), with experience in creating and auditing security roles and policies.
Familiarity with Azure Security Center, Defender for Cloud, and other security services in the Azure ecosystem.
Strong understanding of security frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, CIS Controls) and regulatory requirements such as GDPR, HIPAA, or PCI-DSS.

Key Responsibilities:
Microsoft Sentinel Deployment & Optimization:
Lead the design, implementation, and tuning of Microsoft Sentinel in enterprise environments, ensuring effective threat detection and response.
Architect Sentinel to ingest logs from diverse sources, including on-premises systems, cloud services, and third-party security solutions.
Customize KQL queries to create tailored alerts, dashboards, and analytics rules for proactive threat hunting and security insights.
Conduct health assessments and optimizations for existing Sentinel deployments, enhancing performance and detection capabilities.
Familiarity with Logstash and Cribl will be a plus.
Data Collection Endpoints (DCE) & Data Collection Rules (DCR):
Define and configure enterprise-level DCE and DCR to streamline data ingestion from critical assets.
Ensure the accuracy and efficiency of log collection pipelines, focusing on minimizing overhead while maximizing security coverage.
