Hello, My parents DS160 (appointment booked with incomplete DS-160) got expired before “SUBMITTING” , support team is suggesting, if DS-160 expired or not able to retrieve will lead to cancel and rebook appointment from scratch and will loose appointment fee. Does anyone had this experience?

Under section 214(b), reason is either financial not strong or they believe that u have not strong ties to back to India.
Further as per section 221(g), u might require to produce further evidence if they require.
You can cancel it, and schedule again once you have desired dates available

Fill the new one take the both DS-160 to the VAC and inform them.. they’ll update for you… (the new DS 160 should-be filled before 48Hrs of the biometric)
