RNTs - a new NFT booking concept for hotels
To avoid losing money due to last-minute cancellations, hotels are planning to convert canceled bookings into NFTs. The new concept, dubbed "RNT" (room-night tokens), will mean that those who cancel their booking will have to sell their RNT on a marketplace dedicated to selling unused rooms (for example, StubHub for tickets to concerts and sporting events), rather than putting the business' cash flow at risk by requiring refunds or rebookings.
One hotel planning to adopt the new strategy is a resort in the Dominican Republic called Casa de Campo Resort & Villas, which has partnered with Pinktada, a new booking engine platform that allows users to buy RNT for a specific room, time period, or set of nights.
“Your account has been disabled because it is against our Terms of Service. This means that you will no longer have access to your OpenSea account. Your collections and any items from those collections have been removed from the list and will not be available to other users."
Russian users began to receive such a message when they tried to enter the OpenSea NFT marketplace.

NFT theft. Collector lost 29 Moonbirds
NFT theft is rampant these days. A hacker who used a phishing website to trick victims into claiming them as wallet operators accumulated 29 Moonbird NFTs from a single wallet. The victim in question is named Keith, a Digital Ornithologist husband and father of three who described stealing his "hard-earned money over the past 38 years" as "life-changing."

In total, 29 Blue Chip Moonbirds amount to about 750 ETH (or $1.5 million), an amount that in any other context of life would be considered undeniably significant if it were ever stolen.
