🔒 Enough Signet BTC were captured within 36 Signet blocks of activation to fill the second cap of Babylon Bitcoin Staking Testnet-4.
🥳 Congratulations to the 27,941 stakers (50 Signet BTC) who joined us on this journey; and to the remaining 32.723 users (38.43 Signet BTC, pre-unbonding) who weren't able to get their stake in: worry not, testing continues!

Cap 1 is filled and here are a few updates about the next steps:
➡️ If your stakes are in an overflow state, please unbond and withdraw if you want to participate in the next cap.
➡️ Since the unbonding period is 7 days, we will open the next staking cap next week to give you enough time to unbond and withdraw. The exact Signet BTC height will be announced early next week.
➡️ Why have a cap? Bitcoin staking is a new technology, and ensuring the security of the stake is crucial. It needs rigorous, progressive testing before it can be ready for mass adoption. The caps help test the flow control protocol needed for progressive testing.

• This testnet is not incentivized. It’s an opportunity to familiarize yourself with Bitcoin staking.
• Signet bitcoin has no monetary value.

Cap 3 of Babylon Bitcoin Staking Testnet-4 goes live on Wednesday, 19 June, 2024!

This cap will be time-based, with the testnet accepting stakes for 5 days (120 hours), starting from Signet BTC block height 200,665 at approximately 9 AM UTC on Wednesday, 19 June, and lasting for 720 blocks, ending at Signet BTC block height 201,385 around 9 AM UTC on Monday, 24 June.
Based on community feedback, we have added a fee adjustment feature to the staking web dApp. This feature allows the staker to customize the transaction fee to increase the chance of their staking transaction getting included in the Signet block.
