The draft for a Lebanese ceasefire agreement has been leaked, outlining the following key points:

•Complete Halt to Hostilities: Both sides will cease all hostilities, with each retaining the right to self-defense.

•Deployment: Only UNIFIL and the Lebanese army will operate south of the Litani River.

•Hezbollah Disarmament: Lebanon is responsible for preventing Hezbollah’s rearmament, including blocking arms entry and dismantling infrastructure.

•Israeli Presence & Hezbollah Withdrawal: Israel will stay in Lebanon for 60 days while Hezbollah withdraws north of the Litani line. Israel will then assess progress.

•Conflict Resolution: If Israel is satisfied with the disarmament progress, both nations will move forward with talks to fully implement Resolution 1701 and resolve border disputes.

Verification Mechanism:

•Monitoring by the U.S.: A U.S.-led mechanism will address violations within a reasonable timeframe.

•Consequences for Violations: Sanctions will be applied for violations.

•Israeli Military Rights: Israel may respond militarily to unaddressed violations in certain areas and will retain rights for reconnaissance flights over Lebanon.
