US Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin is sending additional bomber aircraft and Navy warships to the Middle East to bolster the US presence in the region as an aircraft carrier and its warships are preparing to leave, AP reported Friday citing US officials, amid reports that Tehran is preparing for a retaliatory attack on Israel.
Austin ordered several B-52 Stratofortress bomber aircraft, tanker aircraft and Navy destroyers to deploy to the Middle East, four US and defense officials said.

This year's US early voting numbers

The elections in the USA will be held this Tuesday and about 63 million Americans have already voted in the early voting.

Democrats make up about 38.8% of all early voting participants, while Republicans about 36%.

However, the number of Republicans who came to the polls to vote in person exceeds the number of Democrats: 39.3% compared to 31.6%.

More than 19 million Democrats sought to vote in envelopes by mail, compared to 13.5 million Republicans.
